You need to get NoSleep!! or NoSleep_Raphael.cab (something like that). Diamond Tweek and Advanced Configuration can also help you turn off Fast Sleep.
Even with one of these installed, sometimes the Fuze confounds me and shuts the screen off during a long call.
But it has nothing to do with the brightness level that you select in Power settings.
Also check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=446306, and all of the Raphael forums.

standby mode

When my phone boots up it shows the logo then it shows at the top where its checking internal card whatever then the screen goes blank, it only comes up to view when i touch the top button, i think its booting to the standby mode it did it before gingerbread update and after ,i dont really mind cause all i need to do is press the top on button once to get my display up just it seems a bit strange to do this though evry time.

Yes, it aint there. Been looking for it also. I'll try to if someone has successfully changed it. Probably a setting in the build.prop.
If you read the post carefully you might figure it out by yourself!
Its a simple settings option that tells the screen to go blank its in settings/display/screen timeout on all stock roms.

That's called immersive mode. It's a native android feature. If you hit OK the first time, it should stop appearing.

It's not a bug reporting thread.
You must create a seperate thread for each bug.
Only unresolved/pending bugs or feature requests will be added on the list unpon request to maintain a lost of existing feature requests / bugs
I have moved your post to a new thread.

First of all, It is not a bug. It's a part of Immersive mode feature called panic mode.
When you are in the immersive mode, If you hit the power button within 5 sec from the screen off, it will enter into panic mode & will show the message again.
It's known issue on Kitkat.
is there a way to TURN off immersive mode ?
i am sick and tired oif OKing this nag screen over and over again xD
please....
and another issue....
i dont know where to post it...
the brightness higher/lower on the left of the screen dosent do anything form the new version...
just sometimes...i dont know when exactly and why, the screen brightens & then gets dimmed in a sec for its self.
any ideas?
help me help u...

Problem of waking the screen

When I make a call and hold the device to my ear, the screen goes off. And that's fine. But when I remove the device from my ear, the screen is still black. I say goodbye to the caller, and to interrupt the conversation I have to press the power button or double tapp screen to wake the screen. Is there any option to wake the screen more actively?
The same problem here....
I hope they will fix this in future updates. My friend dont have this problem. On other forum some guy told me that i need move phone and i will get phone wake up. On my other phone (s9+) i dont have this problem. This problem have many s10 series phone. I read that the problem is because proximity sensor position. And AOD dont turn off when is phone in a pocket or screen down wich use more battery.
I tried old good wipe cache in recovery and...it's good, problem is gone.
Try it too!
I try. It didn't help
Same problem as well, it doesn't happen always but often enough to annoy me...
yeah, same problem here man
same problem.. if you turn your phone upside down it will get the movement and show the screen but don't think this is actually a good workaround! does anyone know if there is something to do for it?

Dimming and screen shut off when on call

Can't for some reason find an option anywhere on the phone to stop this from happening. Every time I'm on a call after about 10 seconds the screen will dim and a few seconds later goes to black. Can tap on screen 2x to wake it up again but I don't want this to ever happen. Not connected to full device shut down that I have turned up to 5 mins so has nothing to do with that setting. Can anyone assist and help me stop this form happening all the time? Many thanks!

Go to Settings/ Accessibility/ Screen reader/ Under Voice Assistant tap settings then scroll down to Quick Menu, tap it, then look for Dark Screen toggle. Click this setting off.. Let me know if that works for you.

Thank you! I turned it off. Next time I'm on a call I'll see if it did the trick and post back.

Not sure then because that was the only thing I could find.. Maybe it's a setting that we don't have control over.. I do know that the screen is supposed to shut off when it's close to your face and the reason being is so that your face isn't pressing on stuff and making the phone do things you don't want it to be doing.. My moms face sure does seem to disable a lot of stuff like fast charging and even turning the screen brightness so low that she thought it was broken haha..

HA. No, phone is on a desk, not near my face. But yeah most phones nowadays do that. Thanks for trying tho.
Anyone else with any thoughts?
Tried replicating the problem on my end. I called someone, enabled speakerphone and put the phone on the table.
The screen indeed turned dim after 10 seconds and turned black afterwards. It bypassed my screen timeout setting which is 5 minutes. The phone app is in the foreground. Double tapping the screen wakes it up.
I minimized the phone app; the homescreen is now in the foreground. It adhered to the 5 minutes screen timeout setting.
I guess the temporary workaround is that after you answer the call, exit out of the phone app.

Hi. I had the same problem and found the solution using third party application: Screen On Call from Google Playstore: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vorlan.screenoncall.free
It is compatible with Samsung dialer. On the top later you have small button to prevent screen going dark or to disable it. Proximity sensor is working without problem when you hold the phone to the ear.

Thank you. Life changing.
