Advanced File Brower for Android KitKat - General Questions and Answers

I need in advance file for Android KitKat. I want to be able to transfer files between the SD card and the internal storage smoothly. The native LG file manager is very slow at transferring files and I'm wondering if there is something better. All help is appreciated. Thank you. By the way I am using this the LG Volt.

Root explorer is what I use. With Es explorer it's good but I tend to run into problems with root browsing

Root Explorer?
The Android operating system does that for you... you don't need one.

Browser downloads are saved directly to the USB storage area into the /download folder by default.
Is that not happening for you?
No. I am using opera. It only allows me to download onto the internal storage.

My I497 tablet is not rooted either. I have Root Exploer installed and it did just what you wanted. Try a different file explorer/manager. Possibly the system folder is just too big for copy and paste. Try smaller sections.

Why are you trying to backup the whole system folder? Try smaller folders inside /system.

No problem here. You are copying and not cutting/moving?

[Q] obb folder in root

The obb folder is in the root of my internal storage, not in the Android folder as it was on my Nexus 4. Is this the new location for it on 4.4?

its the cache that takes most of the storage so instead of using a file explorer app you sould download any cache cleaner or if you are rooted then you may try LINK2SD and with link2sd you can even clean dalvik cache and the sdcard partitions
PRESS THE THANKS BUTTON IF I HELPED
I want to use link2sd. Does it really make a performance difference? I'm also a little bit nervous about messing up my SD card.
