Browser downloads are saved directly to the USB storage area into the /download folder by default.
Is that not happening for you?

No. I am using opera. It only allows me to download onto the internal storage.

Btw. How do I even browse through the files on the USB storage directly on the phone.

Probably out of internal memory.
Step 1: Root Device
Step 2. Download Fota fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1065018
Step 3 Run
Step 4 Reboot.
Step 5 All good
I'm rooted.. cwm bali 1.4 fota fix...
My question is what does internal memory have to do with browser downloads?? Shouldn't they default to my SD?

The Fota app works great for this. Just did it and got over 250mb free on my device. Will check on that storage checking now.

I suppose you can enter your phone with USB link to your pc. Then your phone will seen as external disc and you can add documents on it.
Hit thanks button if I helped you.

File Transfer via WiFi

Since our Galaxy Note is, when connected to PC recognized as a media storage device, transferring files is annoyingly slow.
In some HTC HOX thread somebody had an app to transfer files over WiFi.
I have tested it and think it's worth a try:
"WiFi File Transfer"
Push Thanks if this was helpful.

Videos on sd card

Hi, how to scan videos on sd card with the stock video player
Sent from my GT-N8010 using XDA Premium HD app
I have ES File Explorer installed and my home network settings input in the LAN settings. I simply choose a file to open on my tablet, my WIFI network or my battery-powered wireless hub and I get the option to open with a program of my choosing.
It should automatically list videos on internal and external storage. Try rebooting your device.
Rebooting tested but no scan sd card, videos, pictures and music

When did this problem start?
Try using a file manager and opening one of the pictures or videos on ur sd card and then see if it shows up in gallery or video player after that.
Already try ... nothing change... no videos, pictures et mp3 on stock app

Oh I see. I'm not sure then. =( sorry.
Maybe you need to backup your files and reformat your sd card.
Also, have you updated to the latest software version?

Advanced File Brower for Android KitKat

I need in advance file for Android KitKat. I want to be able to transfer files between the SD card and the internal storage smoothly. The native LG file manager is very slow at transferring files and I'm wondering if there is something better. All help is appreciated. Thank you. By the way I am using this the LG Volt.
