Hi . Im new at this kind of stuff
So last night i managed to sucessfully flash cwm and rooted my phone . Maybe tonight / tomorrow . I want to install VN rom . Im just wondering if i click "wipe data / factory reset" on cwm . What will it delete ? Will it erases all my internal and external storage or what . I currently have my music and photos both on the internal and external storage . And will VN rom 14.1 be compatible with my device ? (Sm n900 , XUDNC1 baseband , XUDND1 build number) . And why cant i post on the VN rom post ._. Any help would be very appreciated

Please ask all your questions here
Because you are still a Junior Member, you still can't post in the Development section. You can check the thread to see if your phone is compatible or not, because the developer most probably mentioned what variants of the Galaxy Note 3 is compatible with his ROM.
"Wipe Data" will erase all your installed apps and its data. But your Internal storage and External SD card should be untouched so your photos, music and videos will remain intact. But its always a good idea to keep a backup of everything on your phone incase data loss occurs.
"Factory Reset" will remove all user installed apps and will reset all your custom settings, preferences, modifications, etc. It will revert everything back to manufacturer's default settings and basically make your phone look "new" again.
So, as I said before, its always a good idea to keep a backup of everything on your phone. But one thing's for sure - it won't delete anything on your External SD card (unless you choose to do it).
Thanks for the help

Do you mean this ROM?!
Then please read carefully the first posts of this ROM thread before flashing.
As @Sami Kabir already posted, you can find the Q&A section for your device here.
Additionally, here is a nice reference thread about flashing/CWM/etc. for the SM-N900.
This may answer most of your questions.

zip wont work after i connect to a pc with "usb mass storage"
i downloaded your zip on a win7 pc. flashed it and it was working fine, very fine. thanks dude :good: phone memory became 16GB and sdcard became 1.5GB
But when i was going to copy some files onto my phone, i used a xp pc and it was recommended to switch to 'usb mass storage' and so i did. after i copied the files and removed my phone from the pc, i checked the system settings and phone memory got back to 1.5GB and sdcard to 16GB. i tried restoring backups and flashing the zip several times and eventually resorted to factory data reset. theres no use flashing the zip cause it wont make a change anymore. is there a way to fix it? thanks in advance

have you made any backup before formatting your system?
If you have made a Nandroid Backup, then its easy to recover the ROM. But if you haven't made, then Mount USB storage in CWM recovery, and connect your phone to computer via USB cable. Then transfer the ROM zip file to SD card. And then you are able to flash the ROM. Be sure to wipe data/cache/dalvik-cache/battery stats.

You were using a Custom ROM before aren't you? If yes, then probably you should know which ROM you used before.
Anyways you can search in the device-specific forum over here :

Interestingly enough, I was working on the stock ROM that the phone was on.It's a new device I was using. And I just got introduced to the ClockWorkMod thingy, which was just a zip file that I chose thru the Reboot Recovery Screen. I was just mucking around with the options on the CWM, when I unwittingly chose to Format System (No goddamn idea why !!!! )
But I will search for a suitable ROM. Will revert back in case of any issues....THNX !!!

if i decide to root ..what the way that work perfectly 100% with Gt-p3100 to move data of big games to ext card with no problem and perfectly safe ??
other question : if i want to UnRoot the device after root is that possible , safe and easy on gt-p3100 ?if yes : how to do all of this ?
please explain to me step by step because i am new at this
thanks forward

to root, youhave two ways, you can do with CF Auto root:
1)http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957160
you will lose temporarily the warranty, you can restore your warranty with Triangle away.
2)you can flash a pre-rooted room, see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1885878
thanks alot ..
i will do root like you say but one last question :
how that (TriangleAway ) will get back warranty to tablet while the tablet still root !! ??i don't understand job of this !
if i need to take tablet to samsung service center ..they wont know if i root the tablet ?!
please explain to me ..
thanks forward

see the first page, you will get detailed info for triangle away, I have rooted my tab trough a pre rooted rom, if I need to restore the warranty I will use triangle away to reset the flash counter and then flash the tab with original rom, the original ROM don't increase flash counter..
what app you will use to move the data of you applications?
edit: i have made a research and i think it's not possible move the applications since android have as removed this feature
. it's possible swap the internal memory with the extern memory but is risky
go there http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2137606 and put your question to the OP

It only swaps your emulated external(internal sdcard 0) and external, not your system, so its not really risky. I use it whenever I'm not on a cm 10.1 based ROMs. Just follow the directions, and all should be well.

Oh i figured the link was to the swap script, anyways there is a script on here that will swap your internal sdcard( none of your system stuff) and your external. I'm on my way out or i would find the link.

You may try it via CWM. As you have CWM, just format the storage.
OR
You can flash the stock firmware via ODIN. Includes the stock recovery and should also fix your problem as it sets the phone back to stock. Flash the firmware and then perform a factory reset in the stock recovery.

download your stock firmware from sammobiles or any mirror links, use ODIN and then flash your phone. Its technically a new phone now
Now u can install any apps and partition as u wish.

Hi,
I have a problem with my Samsung Galaxy s6, it's a 64 GB but now after many flashes I only see 10Gb in total... I don't understand and I searched on google but didn't find anything...
When I look with disk usage I see 7 GB on "free space" but unusable so I don't understand...
Thanks for your help.

Edit : I have found a solution by myself, I will explain, but save your data before doing it because I'm not sure if you lose data when you do this... I did when my phone is completely empty.
Edit 2 : You go in TWRP ---> Wipe ---> Advanced Wipe --> I think I selected data and after ---> Resize File System. This give me back my 64Gb !
PS : PLS CARE WITH THIS METHOD I DON'T GUARRANTED YOUR PHONE IT'S JUST WHAT I DID FOR ME
@JohnnyEJR Maybe try this
Hi,
I wonder if you have lost your partition table, I suggest downloading a Stock ROM for your device and if possible getting a PIT file for the 64GB S6.

Great! Now that I saw your post i checked mine and from 32 gb i only have 16. I read that wiping your cache partition and factory reset could solve it.
