Looking for tempered glass screen protector. - Galaxy Tab S Accessories

The cases and film based screen protectors are starting to appear on Amazon but I haven't noticed any tempered glass screen protectors.
If anyone finds any (that will ship to Canada) please post the link. The Tab S will stay in the box until I get a screen protector. I may have to buy a cheap plastic one to hold me over.
I wonder if a Tab Pro 8.4 protector would work?
Thanks,
D

Believe it or not I have managed to do this in the past. I actually take the tablet out of the box but don't unwrap it. Lol I will usually turn the tablet on ... With the wrapper still on ... to check the screen for dead pixels but that's it. I ended up ordering a film based protector. It will hold me over.

I want tempered glass cover.... But I will just be gentle with it until they have one

Most likely not at all since it probably wouldn't cover the home button. This design is similar to the S5 and I have not heard of any issues.

Nice info, thanks. Guess I'll keep watch for a good one to get released.. hopefully pretty quickly.

Until I find a good one in the Market. I will use this regular screen protector. I ordered it yesterday and it will be delivered tomorrow. It looks worthy for a 5 pack with prime shipping for $5.95
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KVFQUSU/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

LOL at the lifetime warranty... but the include 5 in a pack...LOL

I don't know what everybody does with their phone or tablet, but I have never used a screen protector or seen the need for it. Especially since they introduced gorilla glass.

I saw this awhile ago but they don't ship to Canada.

My experience with these tempered glass protectors isn't good. For one if you bend the edge at all installing it it will never stick down property again. Also, with some time and wear the edges tend to lift up and once they do you can't stick it down again.
You are better off with just a standard screen protector.

For me it's the opposite. I have applied wet and dry film protectors and I find tempered glass is the best. After years of practice I am able to apply these glass protectors so they have no visual flaws. You couldn't tell there was a second layer on the tablet. Since these protectors are more expensive than the plastic film style and they don't come in multi packs, if you have never applied a screen protector, then I would practise first. But a package of cheap protector and get the feel for the application process.

Exact oppressor here as well. I love mine on the note 3

I'm waiting for a tempered glass to show up too (in canada).

Im using a plastic one until I get a glass one next month from china, i'm also promised one from samsung store once they receive them.
i've seen a few from yahoo.hk, but i'm sure they won't send internationally.

I got this one free from samsung store, the brand is A.R.M, it's a hong kong brand.
Quality is good, but I wish they cover the top of the ear piece, oh and these are not the china one's, all their plastic ones are made in japan.

Yeah I know my best guess is that the cases were getting a price change because there was plenty of other cases that were getting their prices reduced then brought back up. Plus it was late most people were sleeping at the time.

I currently don't use one on my LG G2... I mainly have it in my pocket with nothing else (keys and everything else go in the other pocket). I may not even get the glass one for the note 4, although I have always wanted to try a glass screen protector.

Rhino Shield Shatterproof screen protector for Note 4
You should buy a shatterproof Rhino Shield screen protector for your note 4 it's very durable and your display will not break. Go to evolutivelabs (.) com to pre order now
The Metal Slate Hybrid is back at $3.49 + $3 ship
Now the wallet is $3.49 + $3 ship
Now the Tough Armor is $3.49 + $3 ship
Slim Armor (White) now $3.49 + $3
tempered GLAS TR Slim also $3.49 + $3 again
Nope.
obviously dead by now since it has been like 6 hours but I grabbed 3 of of the Glas.TRs and one of each of the cases. I'll decide between the neo hybrid and the slim armor since that seems a little redundant
These must be flash deals or something because I have yet to see any on note 4 accessories

Wouldn't using a glass screen protector on the Note 4 have issues with the finger print reader, since it would leave the home button feeling like a hole. This was not an issue with the Note 3 because you could use one of those home button sticky things.

ahh thanks for the tip. i hate those buttoms that stick on the home button so i probably wont run a screen protector on my note 4 then
Looks like Spigen just pulled out the Glass screen protector from their site for the Note 4 and Amazon shows "Currently unavailable". Maybe they figured that what I posted would create an issue with the finger print reader (or the round glass that meets the Note 4 metal frame).
They could use the same design for the home bottom like this screen protector.

Any screen protectors that are cut properly?

It seems as though the trend for screen protectors has shifted towards a lazy cut where they just chunk out sections near buttons/speakers:

I think this is ugly and looks cheap.
I'm HOPING to find a tempered glass protector that doesn't have halo and isn't cut this way.
If not, I would prefer what I believe is PET (I just know that I don't like thermoplastic polyreuthane).
Normally, I would just end up going to eBay and looking at the cheapest ones on there which generally met my needs in the past, but are now all being cut like the above.
Has something changed recently that prevents manufacturers from having a more precise cut?
Can anyone help me find what I'm looking for?
It's weird, there's tons of properly cut ones for the edge but not the standard S6. I found a couple though.
How about this?

Hey thanks for the links. Unfortunately, I'm in the US.
Is it odd that all these protectors are being cut this way or am I the odd one for caring?
Try these, not glass but almost perfect fit and good price, I would have put a link but i am not allowed to not having enough posts yet anyway its on amazon UK Anker® High Definition (HD) Screen Protector. the other option is the tempered glass screen protector from Remax with the thin black, white or gold line around the outside. Possibly the best option is this from Ebay, I am waiting on it, item number 221796267947

Nope I'm the same. I also wanted a screen protector that would cover all the metal and I don't understand why they're not cut to cover all around the speaker and lens. At the moment, I've got a cheap protector on. It still means that the top area of metal is exposed to potential scratching.
Another, eBay item no 331539692284 from China.

I am the same as well. I got spoiled with my OPO and my tempered glass protector only had a cutout for the speaker. It looked very much like nothing was there. I am not a fan of these glass cut's where they have these giant ass cutouts at the top and bottom. I know you can close it out the manufacturers just don't because it requires much more precision I guess.

I also think that the screens of the devices also require some sort of attention; there needs to be special cutouts so the protector can lay properly. I'm not sure how it works, but you are most definitely correct. I know that with the iphone 6, my wife had difficulty getting one that would lay right; mostly because of the curved edges of that phone.

Great stuff Do report back with your findings, like if it's easy to fit, does it stick down or stay stuck down all the way to the edges, and does it cover both screen side edges completely. These seem to be the criteria that people often complain about. If so, I'll get one myself.

You might want to consider another protector though.
I asked the person who bought it if it's any good and he said "It stays down but the sticky adhesive doesn't go to the edge so has caught dust unfortunately. I'd probably give it a miss though the cutout is perfect fit.. Shame really"
Moshi tempered glass protectors are the only things I'd use on my phones. For iPhone 6, Galaxy S6, Note 4, etc, they're always edge-to-edge with professionally-looking cutouts. These are sold at AT&T corporate stores.

Does a screen protector detract from the looks? Is one needed? Which ones should we use?
I use one, can't tell difference to w/o. As this is one of the cheaper ones (6 pcs for 2 EUR) I think most of the offered ones are fine
Yeah I use one I got a 6 pack off amazon, nothing special just standard screen protector material and you cant even tell that its there. Probably gonna grab a tempered glass one here soon just for the hell of it.

Yes, it is fantastic protection and relatively easy to just "plop" on.
Is there any real reason why on earth you need screen protector on watch?
Especially when there`s gorilla glass instead of usual.
It`s a wearable device that is mounted on wrist all day long, so there`s no risk of drop at all.

You can still bump your watch against a door or wall which could scratch the watch face. Happened to me with a few watches in the past. Screen protectors are more for scratches than drops anyhow . In the end it's a matter of taste vs peace of mind. No wrong answer here. Personally I always lean towards using one and all my devices still look new after tons of use.
Screen protector
I tried one on but took it off in five min. It was protruding above the frame and didn't feel natural.
It was also gathering dust around the edge quickly and took away from the aesthetics of the watch.
I'll just be careful in handling the watch and enjoy the beauty of the watch at all times, rather.
The regular old school ones I got off amazon work great and you cant even tell it's on thenwatch.
As far if you need one or not, that's just a matter of opinion, ive banged my Smartwatches (Gear 1, Gear S) off door knobs walking down my hall a few times or at work while rushing around, it makes your stomach turn lol, yes the glass is definitely resilient but it never hurts to add a safety layer as long as it keep the watches aesthetics, Lucky I haven't banged my S2 off anything and hope I never do, but at least my screen will be covered if I do lol
have anyone tried the full body skin protector ? im just curious, is it truly invisible or would it be annoying ?

I have this on my watch. I'm very happy with it.
I bought a tempered glass one from eBay, it fitted very well. But it did create the thinnest halo effect around the the edge. So I took it off.
Then thought, I don't put any protectors on any of my other watches and most are regular glass.
I got this tempered glass screen protector on aliexpress. Very happy with it - fits really well and is barely noticeable. I think I read somewhere that it would be slightly too small for the classic though.
I have supershieldz from amazon for last few weeks and I happy with it.
I bought this from amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015X2DG2I?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
Install was easy and I dont even know it is there. No loss in touch or responsiveness.
Got two tempered glass screen protectors off Amazon for about $10 each (Canadian). First one was tricky and had slight halo but that was my own fault. Took it off and tried again with my second one...perfect. No halo, can't even really tell it's on

i wonder what will happen to the bottom, uncovered by the glass, battery part.
thick plastic housing over metal will definitely be sratched badly in first month of use.
cellhelmet.com
They were on Shark Tank a couple years back
I'm returning an item just like this (different vendor) as the adhesive is just around the borders and top.
The adhesive is weak and in my case it was not aligned properly to the "glass" so you could see it covering some parts of the screen.
The middle have no adhesive whatsoever and it does not make contact with the phone screen. This causes the protector to flex and each tap/touch on the screen feels like using an old phone with plastic screen.
One last thing: it is a fingerprint magnet and very reflective.

Dang, that sucks. I'll definitely be needing tempered glass, and this is one reason I'm leaning toward the G5—Edge owners are having a devil of a time finding a good one for themselves.
Please post pics of the Yootech.
I'd be really surprised if there's a tempered glass protector that is already correctly designed for the curve at the top. As in, Will it stay stuck? In the past whenever I've had a curved glass phone it's usually months after its release when a company finally designs a true curved TGSP. I hope I'm wrong because I have a Yootech on the V10 and it's great! (Them not making one for the S7 yet might be a sign as to why this was pulled from Amazon).
I settled for a cheap square one for now [Omoton on Amazon].

It is too expensive in my opinion.Less than $10 is OK.
I'm cautious of anything that claims to cover curved glass. This is just based off of my past purchases.
Waiting for guinea pigs to test the waters first

Now if Samsung ever ships me my damn watch, I'll let you know what I think... lol
Samsung is pissing me off... Pre-order direct from them is a joke.
Hi, any news on this topic? I was wondering if it is really necessary to install a screen protector...
Cheers

They're a cheap investment to protect your watch face, I'd recommend them. I just purchased a 3 pack from Amazon. A lot of complaints about the size but I understand that if it's a perfect fit and they don't position it perfectly that it could come off or break easier.
Or stop the rotating bezel working correctly.
I'll prob opt to go with the wet apply style protector, ie skinomi or something similar. The glass one linked on here looks to be a turd.
Hi guys, I ordered my glass screen from deals&bargain on Amazon UK & it finally arrived today. So far the fit and glass has been superb on my s3 frontier. It leaves a small .5mm space around the glass that isn't ideal as you want the whole screen protected however when i asked them why this is, they told me the reason for this is if the screen did crack it is easier to take it off whereas if the screen was edge to edge it will be very difficult to remove. They had this stated on their description what was a good thing as i read many other seller review and they didn't mention this . I have uploaded images of the glass screen and a link to the seller. Here are some pics of the protectors. They do not go all the way to the edge of the watch. There is a millimeter or so gap all the way around the edges. It is OK, but I do feel the gap when I am swiping on the screen. The protector could go to the edge of the screen. The rotating bezel would not interfere.
So... has anyone found a good quality screen protector (glass or film) that provides a perfect fit?
Thanks to share the feature of Samsung gear watch .

This is the one I bought and I will buy them again. Fits perfectly. Can't really feel it when swiping from edge. I can only see it from an angle and I have to kinda look for it. You can feel it with your fingernail on the edge if you pick at it. Doesn't interfere with the bezel at all. It comes with a little suction cup to put it on.
@FreddyFredFred thank you, that's the first one which fits good. But it can't be shipped to Europe. Does anybody sales it anywhere else? I had some protectors from ebay, but there is too big gap on edges.

I've got these

glass, cut precisely alomost as big as the screen (if they were bigger I could not move them/take them out). Very good packaging.
So just moved from the S2 to the S3. I previously had a plastic type screen protector on the S2, but thinking of going naked with the S3. I cant find any scratch tests or real reviews on the new Guerrilla glass they are using, so I'm wondering what peoples opinions are. I mean Samsung does tout this as a rugged watch so I'm hoping it can take some sort of beating. I'd expect the bezel to get scratched before the glass.
I use a tempered glass protector on my frontier. Bought a three pack of eBay. Super easy to apply and a good fit.
Has not altered the visibility of the watch or the sensitivity of the touch face interaction.
You wouldn't now it was there unless you really went looking for it as it is just a tiny bit smaller that the face.
I use a generic

I am using a generic that I got from Amazon. Still waiting for a Zagg. Good thing I have one as I scratched the protector I have. Could have been the glass.
