Try switching h/w decoder to s/w decoder selection on upper right hand side of the player.

yes sir, whenever i play HD movies, it does not play smoothly, it stops for about .5 sec,
it lags all the time
Did you try switching the h/w decoder to s/w? I had some videos that lag to and it simply was because I had the wrong decoder selected. Hope that helps.

not talking about watch but the video player that it plays like .mp4s or whatever its the only one that stretchs the video full screen on my sensation ive tried almost every video player on android market they all use like half the screen! any ideas?
I always use mVideoPlayer, has a lot of nice features. One if it is you can select how you want to zoom (fill screen (zoom), fill to aspect , fill screen(stretch)).
You can config this in normal settings or just change it per video.
I think that is what you are looking for?
nah i tried that it only stretched it halfway but thanks for the suggestion

wait nvm that worked! i guess that was the only one i didnt try! thanks so much
I use MoboPlayer. I like it and it gives me volume control by touching/swiping the screen.

my top 3
best movie players "i've" found for the sensation (in order):
Dice player
VPlayer
Android Video Player
These play .avi's well and seem to produce the best picture quality (for me at least).
MoboPlayer or PlayerPro
The TVCatchup Apps is here but it is beta and it does not Support ICS yet

Works on galaxy s2, thanks
Taz... SgS2...
Have you got the latest version which is version 30?
Not working here on both rooted or stock Samsung Galaxy Note running Gingerbread 2.3.6.
The app launches fine, shows the TV Guide, lets you choose a program, plays the initial advert then you get the 'Preparing to play xxxxxxx'
After 10 seconds or so this times out with the below error :
Video play back error
The play back has ended

doesnt work on my gs2. Get audio but black screen
shame it doesn't work on Desire HD, gets audio but the video is very skewed and distorted. Promising and would love the final release (hoping it's free).
I also have skewed and distorted video on the HTC Desire HD, but that's nothing to do with the app.
As far as I can tell the app just uses the inbuilt streaming player (HTCstreamplayer.apk) .... v1.0 works for me nice & clear and silky smooth, but on the ROM I am using (ARHD v7.03) the streamplayer (v1.5) is skewed ..
May I ask what OS you are using on your HTC Desire HD ?
---------- Post added at 11:55 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:50 AM ----------
also ,,, try using the mobile web version of tv catchup, you can then choose which streaming player you prefer ,,,
I found that the inbuilt HTC Streaming player (v1.5) still shows a skewed distorted video ,, but the other players work (no-where near as smooth as streaming player v1.0 tho)

I've tried patching the v1.0 player using Titanium Backup, but the older player still shows distorted video ...
So my guess is there's an issue in the ROM somewhere ...
I'm using ARHD v7.03 ... (which is a port from the HTC Sensation XL)
using ARHD v6.32 ... (which is a port from the official HTC Desire HD rom) the display works fine
I installed 4.1 (CM10, codename v3.3.2, blindbean v1.5) when I play video by gallery, MX player or youtube, my phone my phone always restart from boot screen, anyone know the reason?
Sorry for my English
Try disabling HW overlay in /settings/developer options.

Doesn't solve the playback issue, have tried it, just makes the video jumpy and slow. Been using codename since it got uploaded, waiting on bnd to come out of his compiling session. Kinda miss the updates

Is the device completely stock or has it been rooted? If stock have you tried a complete reset? What player are you using to play local content? What Type of local movie file are you trying to play? Try MX player from the play store on a local video and see if it stutters.

It is completely stock. I do use mx player. It doesn't matter if the video is streaming or if it's downloaded to internal storage it still lags. I'll give that ROM a try, I have been looking for ROMs and couldn't find any. Even through Google. Thanks

Hi, I'd like to share my first android app - Chichi: YTS Online Player.
This app is made with love for my honey - now my wife
This is unofficial YTS player which helps play YTS movies without downloading all the torrent file. Some cool features:
- Blockbuster movies in HD and FullHD resolutions
- Subtitles in multi-languages
- Seeking to anywhere in the movie
- Search movies by name
- Filter movies by quality, genre or rating
- Sort movies by uploaded time, rating, likes, views, and more
- Trailer in YouTube
** NOTE: It uses torrent protocol, so it may not work in some countries, please let me know if it gets stuck at 0B/s for a long time. Thank you very much. :victory:
Have fun :fingers-crossed:

I'll add a button to stream/cast to tv, it's working as expected, I tried subtitles too
---------- Post added at 03:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:49 PM ----------
And allow horizontal "rotate"
Thank you for your valuable reviews. I'll try to include them on next update
