as an experiment, completely remove xposed, reboot, and try. chances are that it is xposed itself causing the issue. if its still not working, we will go further after. but with xposed still installed, thats all the help youll get from me.

thats what it was, halo! it had to be disabled to install apps. the install button would be grayed out. anything similar would go through the same process, even regular apps. thank you btw

Do you have "Unknown Sources" checked under the security settings. It should prompt you if you don't but just in case, check that.

I've got the same problem. I can't install apk's since I'm using the latest stock 4.4.3 update. I've never rooted my phone or whatsoever. I can't seem to find a solution for it

I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't be able to install apks. Even on stock and no root, I am fairly sure you are able to.

Check this out. . We discovered this in the Paranoid Android Community the other day.
If you have Echo Notifications Lockscreen installed, whether you have it activated or not, it disables installation of apks and the OK button on certain other dialogs. I went nuts trying to figure out what happened...

i cant identify any launcher ...and there is no trace of custome rom. I have just got it few hours back and every thing is running smoothly
Hi,
Have you an app named SoftkeyZ?
Or maybe an Xposed module? Take a look in your app drawer for Xposed something...
It's not an "issue", there is something installed that modifie the look of your soft buttons.
if it's rooted you can use softkeyz from the play store though it's a paid app... or just flash the factory image (not sure if just factory resetting will fix it).

Lockscreen notifications

Hi all.
I tried to search on xda and on google but could not find what i'm looking for.
I wanted to know if there is a flashable zip or an Xposed module to get the Notification system in lockscreen, like the one of CarbonROM.
Thanks in advance!

You want "active notifications". like when you pull your phone out it is like the moto X right? I used to have that on my Nexus 4 with carbon ROM, I don't know if it is implemented yet in the latest Carbon. I didn't find it as useful as it gets a rep for.
It isn't in GravityBox

xposed Framework issue

Hey all
I'm tryin to install xposed framework. But I keep on getting the error "Failed to get root access"
I'm a noob here, so i'm not too sure what is going on. I am rooted on omnirom using twrp bootloader. I'm pretty sure I've done everything right as far as rooting.
Any ideas?
thanks in advanced.
Can other apps get root access? Titanium backup for example?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Are you using the ART runtime? Because Xposed is not compatible with it.
EDIT: I missed where this was a root problem. But my statement still stands. lol

hey guys thanks for replying.
Titanium backup works. When I installed it right now, SuperSU asked for permission. I granted.
I noticed that for Fast/Auto app install: it has a red x and says HyperShell needed. Does that have anything to do with it?
And I am not runnning ART runtime lol

Xposed framework on stock ROM?

I've been out of the XDA game for awhile now since my last phone couldn't be rooted. I just got this phone, and immediately rooted it
Well, my question is can the xposed framework be installed on the stock ROM? Xposed seems to be really different since the last time I used it haha
If it can then what would I need to do to install it? Thanks to anyone in advance

Yeah, I had tried v80 first, but for some reason I would get an error message saying it wasn't the right platform even though it was the arm64 version. The v67 is the only one that flashes without any error

I had the same problem with the download from XDA thread, did a google, and installed from a different link(sorry, can't remember which) ARM64 v80. Works like a charm, except APM+ module doesn't work, and I can't find a module to center clock, and full statusbar mods. Just try different download. Good luck!

You can flashing TWRP recovery with this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2334554 or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mkrtchyan.recoverytools&hl=pt_PT
Now install the Xposed Installer 3.0 alpha 4
Enter TWRP recovery
Flash the zip file Xposed-v80-sdk21-arm64
Give reboot and ...
Be happy

Disable Apps Permanently

Hey, I was wondering if there is a way to disable/uninstall system apps without root. In this specific case, I would like to remove YouTube and Google Duo, however, I tried to disable + force stop the apps but they reappear after a while. Next I tried to disable them via ADB but even then they reappeared like nothing happened.
I'm currently using a OnePlus 7 Pro on the latest OOS, I rather not root the phone just yet. As I don't want to void my UK warranty.
Any suggestions would be welcome
