[Completed] HELP ZTE grand memo N5S not detect CDMA sim card - XDA Assist

Hello everyone!
My mother was on China tour early May 2014, when she was in NingBo(china mainland)she bought a ZTE Smartphone Grand Memo N5S
This smartphone has 2 slots SIM card which is slot1 for 3GCDMA and slot 2 for GSM.
After Arriving from China Tour she tried to use the phone In Indonesia with 2 Sim Cards GSM and CDMA inserted, but unfortunately the CDMA not work* the SIM Card cannot be Detected but the GSM Work well.I was wondering why because the CDMA frequency In Indonesia is the same as frequency from china* and same as per ZTE specification (双网双待CDMA 800 GSM900/1800/1900), I then borrow china sim card from my chinese friend who works in Indonesia.
It works ! and CDMA slot card can detect the sim card from china and starts on roaming mode also able to send and recieve call from my local networks.
So the conlusion is the CDMA slot card is locked by provider which is China Telecom. I Need your help to a give me Sim card network code so that I can USE the CDMA phone here in Indonesia. I have tried 3 CDMA SIM cards from Indonesia which are Telkom Flexi, Smartfren and Esia but no one of them can be used in your ZTE Device N5S. Please help

In order to do Network Unlock, you will have to either contact China Mobile or look for an Unlock Code on Ebay.

[Completed] Can a cdma phone (with a sim card slot) be flashed to allow gsm carrier sim cards

i bought a Us Cellular phone off ebay and since it has a sim card slot, i assumed it would work with my gsm sim card. it didnt. my question is that is it possible to flash it from being cdma to work with a gsm sim.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Generally it is not possible. Whether it is cdma or gsm is hardware dependent.

GSM problem samsung galaxy core ( tracfone ) s820l

hi guys
i got this phone ( galaxy core prime - s820L ) and tried to use it with gsm card
but there is no network shown !!
when i checked the network mode it shows just LTE / CDMA and CDMA
is there any way to make it work with gsm networks ??
please guide me
thanx in advance
While the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime does have a SIM card slot, it is a CDMA phone. Switching the SIM for a GSM card will not do anything. I have had two phones that required SIM cards, that are CDMA. My other was a ZTE Warp 4g. While there are ways to transfer to other CDMA networks, swapping the SIM will do nothing for you.

[Completed] Samsung SM-W2017 China Telecom Flip Phone help using it outside China!

Hey all,
I received this beautiful samsung flip phone designed inspired from yesteryear as a gift from a good mate in China:
http://www.samsung.com/cn/smartphones/samsung-w2017/SM-W2017ZKYCTC/ [use Google Translate - see specifications more for supported GSM bands (a lot of them are AU compatible) but then goes to say phone only works in China, Macao, HK and Taiwan!]
I'm in Australia but I'm finding that out of the two SIM CARD slots. Slot 1 (4G LTE) does not work and a message pops up saying 'It's detected that your inserted card doesn't match the terminal. Please replace it with a China Telecom 4G user card in time'. Slot 2 works fine (but only 2G service!!) which is pretty useless.
Any chance any of you can point me to a solution? My friend tells me the store never provided any prior notice that the phone was locked to the China Telecom telco, simple the GSM frequency bands. Are there any XDA guru's who can cook an unlocked ROM for this phone as it's only released/sold out of China...
Any help, greatly appreciated - would hate to send this back!!!!
Anybody....? Really lovin' this phone, but would be AWESOME if anyone can help me unlock it's 3G/4G SIM Slot 1! I've been liaising with this sim-unlock.net site, are they trustworthy and can do the job? Clearly told them phone is not asking for any unlock code, just doesn't accept non-China Telecom SIM cards for sim slot 1.

Greetings and welcome to assist. Unfortunately I don't know of anyway to carrier unlock samsung phones without either going to the original carrier or a third party unlocking service. The second sim for 2g is normal in china, they have one sim for calls (2g) and one for data (4g)
Regards

Any third party unlocking service that you know will do the job? I really need to get the 4g slot working to make the phone worhtwhile using!

Phone purchased in malaysia not working in Nepal

Hi
I have a brand new Galaxy J3 SM-j330G/DS origin is Malaysia and I connected customer support and they said phones are locked to the country. How do I unlock it so it will work on the network in Nepal or any country?
The message I get is:
Invalid SIM card
Network locked SIM card inserted
However my SIM card woks in my iphone perfectly and Im sure if i put it into any other device it will work.
Ok thanks

VoLTE using data of other sim card possible?

Hi there,
I have an Oppo Find X5 Lite which is dual sim. I have two sim cards.
Sim card 1: New Zealand on 2degrees
Sim card 2: Australia on Telstra
I travel regularly between both countries. When I'm on WiFi, both sim cards register as WiFi calling which is great, however when I'm out and about in either country, one of the sim cards is always in roaming.
I'm wondering if it's ever been possible for VoLTE of the overseas SIM card to work over the data of the local SIM card.
It's a feature that Apple has on their iPhones but I can't seem to find much about it for Android.
Hopefully someone has a hack I can use to get this to work.
Thanks all!
