[Q] OEM Dock audio support? - Galaxy Tab 7.7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello All,
I'm currently running Daniel_HK's PacMan milestone 1 rom (Thanks, Daniel!). I am wondering if any of the newer roms will support audio out from the OEM dock. Currently I have to connect to the headphone output on the Tab 7.7 to get audio output to my stereo, but I'm hoping one of the newer rom ports will support audio output from the dock. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks!

[Q] car dock usb audio EQ

Is there any way to get the audio out on the samsung car dock to not sound like crap? I'm running stock rom with the peanutbutta jelly time kernel and use the voodoo control to boost the headphone jacks audio and that sounds pretty nice but the audio plug on the dock does not seem to be affected by anything there. is there maybe another rom or something that will help me with this?

No Sound through Docking Station

Hey guys,
I am using a Tab 2 7.0 P3113 with JB AOKP Milestone 1. I just bought a docking station for my tab and it charges it and thats awesome, but the dock has a port for aux to plug a audio cord into it to connect to a speaker system. That capability is not working right now, I have to manually plug it in through the headphone jack. I don't know if it is becuase I am using a custom ROM and not stock, but I am wondering if there an app or modification that I can make to allow the sound to play throught the docks aux port.
Thanks

Audio out with docks, possible? USB AUDIO

Hello,
I was wondering if i can get audio out thru usb post. I searched and see that franco.kernel can do it i guess on usb dac devices.
So i have these samsung infuse 4g desk dock and Motorola Atrix Standard Desk Dock. They both have 3.5mm audio out jacks thru out usb.
I tried both of these docks with stock and franco kernels but i couldnt get audio out..
Also I tried 'USB Audio Recorder Pro' application, but it didnt help me to get audio from usb too.
Does anyone try anything like this? or am i missing sth?
Any help will be appreciated

[Q] Best way to get line-level audio output from RAZR HD?

Everyone,
I have the RAZR HD from FIDO (XT925) running the stock ROM (4.1.2). Occasionally I would like to connect my phone to my home stereo (via AUX input) to listen to music files that are e-mailed to me, or to streaming audio services. I would rather not do this via Bluetooth.
Is there a convenient way to get a line-level audio output from the RAZR HD? If so, what kind of cable do I need?
Alternatively, I have a cheap but good-sounding USB DAC (Behringer UCA202) -- any chance this could be connected to the RAZR HD via USB to get a line-level output?
Thanks in advance.
Hey,
I might be being a bit stupid here, but why can't you just use the headphone port? I assume this is not good enough quality for you or something?
Cheers,
Su

The headphone port is OK but requires the volume on both the phone and the stereo amplifier to be turned way up, which is inconvenient and leads to a lot of noise. I believe this is because the headphone port is designed for headphone impedance, which is lower than the impedance of a line input.
Ok, gotcha - same problem with the HDMI output? That could work even better, as you could wire it straight into an A/V receiver, right?

HDMI output - difference between stock and CM?

I just bought a Pioneer AppRadio for my car which can be connected to a phone via HDMI.
However, although my phone perfectly connected to different screens and TVs with CyanogenMod and CarbonRom installed, the Appradio didn't recognize the phone's HDMI output.
So I reverted back to the stock rom and the radio flawlessly recognized the Phonton Q's HDMI output.
My question is:
- Is there any reason why the HDMI output works differently under CM-based roms than stock?
- Is there a way to explain this difference to some CM developer to point him to a certain piece of code to maybe fix this?
