Lg g2 display problems - AT&T LG G2

So I've had this problem with my g2 for quite some time now. There is a part of the display that doesn't register touches. Because of this, knock on or even knock code Dont work. Is there any way I can fix the display with out shipping it in or purchasing a new part

Will the updates fix the issues?

I have the sleep of death issue. Slow GPS lock up. Wifi freeze. Its annoying but I got my phone mailed to me and don't want to do the back and forth thing with T-Mobile if I don't have to. Is this a hardware problem and the phone needs to be returned? Or will this all get fixed with an update? I'm kinda guessing its hardware related cause some people have perfect working phones...
I also have a galaxy s 4g sitting next to me. If it was a little faster and didn't use that Samsung overlay I would just use that. Having a hard time deciding wish this g2x didn't have the issues.

LG is issuing an update to the O2x because of these issues. I would assume the update for us should fix the same issues.
That being said, I'm on my second replacement and so far it hasn't froze/rebooted in 1 day and 8 minutes.
I like the phone a lot. If they will fix the problems I would like to keep it. Its just funny that we all have the exact same hardware and yet only some of us have problems and they say it's software. Seems like had components to me...

At a store today, a sales rep that said she worked in the call tech center prior and she mentioned a time frame of about 2 months for a tmo update.

Touchscreen sensitivity

Does it seem to anyone else that the screen on this phone doesn't always register input as consistently or quickly as it should?
Is this a software or hardware issue?

I'm wondering the same thing. For instance the keyboard seems to have trouble with registering a keypress on the same key that just worked fine the press before. Granted I just got the phone yesterday and I'm in my learning curve, and it's still stock. Lovin my ns4g with no bloat either way ;-)

I just posted about this. Didn't seem as bad until I rooted the phone, but that was within about three hours of getting it. It's annoying as hell, right? My thread is in the General Forum. ugh.
The screen is definitely not as sensitive as HTC screens. And I agree, it's annoying.
My screen was to sensitive before update but saying HTC has more sensitivity touch screens I beg to differ

Mine is so sensitive that I don't even have to touch the screen, it will register a touch if I hover just above it.

what update is this you're referring to?
mine also does the hover thing. I'm getting very annoyed with this...

I know the feeling, mine seems to be solely limited to the pre-call dialer. On the dialer it works like a 15 year old palm pilot. Everything else is hyper sensitive. It works fine when in a call.

Is there a setting to change the touchscreen sensitivity on the Nexus S?
I have noticed when the screen is hot it doesn't register keys pressed, I always end up hitting the "." Its quite annoying but j do however love the phone

Is there somewhere on the phone to set the sensitivity?
Mine falls into the "So sensative that it registers a touch when I hover my finger over it".

I apologize if I'm a little cranky but no one seems to see my question. Is there ANY SETTING available for the sensitivity of the touchscreen?

No setting that i know of. I believe some kernels adjust sensitivity but its one setting built in not adjustable. I am running netatchy kernel and responsiveness is amazing.

Yep that is true, sometimes it depends of the ROM or Kernel you have.
Hello, fellow Nexus S owners. I am resurrecting the thread because I found myself in a similar situation.
But first some history and details - I own a I9023 handset and have been using stock ROM since it came out (JZO54K). Couple of days ago I noticed that the lower part of the screen (the line right above the hardware buttons) is less responsive and sometimes even unresponsive. This makes it really annoying when trying to call somebody and nothing happens when I try to launch the dialer. The same behavior is observed throughout the whole row this includes even applications button. When texting the same things happens.
At first I thought that this could be due to me installing a "Temple Run" kind of game, but I wiped it, rebooted and the problem remains.
What do you think? Could this be a hardware problem or software one?
Your digitizer might be dying.
It's also known that while charging the phone with the wrong charger the screen goes crazy, but then, unplugging the phone will usually solve the issue.

Luckily the device is still under warranty so I will take it to my vendor for repair. Maybe then I will have some info on what's happening.
I had a similar problem a while back when my battery started to die. I've never experienced any touch screen wackiness caused by third-party chargers, but this seemed to be a comparable issue albeit in the opposite direction. So in addition to my battery losing charge real quick touches wouldn't register in the bottom half of the screen.

Is it possible my screen digitizer is broken?

Most of the time my screen unlocks it self while its in my pocket makes random calls deletes the text im typing and certain keys are non responsive like if i push the number one while messaging it pushes number 2 instead i have to put it in landscape mode to use the number one key also i went by cellphone repair store yesterday they told me that its prolly a software issue that a factory reset will fix it well when i got home i did that still the same issue i downloaded this screen test app and took a screenshot both sides are non responsive

Fuzzy Screen

Just got my replacement G2 from T-Mobile and uhhh the only thing bothering me is extremely annoying. The bottom 3/4 of my screen is fuzzy and its in any app and even shows in recovery. I can read text on it but I can't watch videos satisfactorily. I feel its a hardware issue but idk what to do. I have seen similar posts and no real solutions or ideas about a fix were posted. I just want a G2 that doesn't screw me over

[Q] Black spot/shadow on nexus 5's screen

I have just received a refurbished nexus 5 and i noticed a rather distracting blemish on the screen under the glass (on the status bar to the left of the wifi icon), it's not a solid colour so i don't think it's dead pixels, it's more of a shadow and it's barely visible when the phone is in landscape but flip the phone portrait and there it is.
I have never seen anything like it before so it would be interesting to find out what it is and if i can fix it easily myself.
Sent it back and get another

Look at the left side of the screen, about 2/5ths of the way down

It's a defect, don't waste your energy trying to explain it further. Send it back for a new one.

I have been waiting a few weeks now for the place i bought it from to get in some new stock but they haven't as of yet.
It would have been nice to know what the defect is and if it's easy to fix so i know if it's worth taking it in for repair
