I heard that new TWRP (2.6.33 ) supports OTG
now can someone tell me how to do a backup to OTG (pendrive) using TWRP ?
i tried but TWRP is not recognising my pendrive ..it is not showing the name of pendrive in MOUNT devices list .
ANY answer is appreciated .
THANK YOU
Maybe because your pen drive is in NTFS format.
Change it to FAT or FAT32. (AFAIK)

You need TWRP 2.7.7.1

when i connect a pen drive in NTFS format to my moto g (via otg cable) it states as blank storage and asks me to format. So when i click ok ( in order to convert it to FAT32) my phone reboots and the pendrive doe'nt get formatted . So anyone from india here face the same bug on their phone
my device info:
bootloader : unlocke
rooted
android version : 4.4.2
system version: 171.44.31.falcon_umtsds.AsiaRetail.en.03 ( dual sim, indian version)

You could have searched instead of creating new thread for the question which is already answered "n" number of time...
NTFS file system does not work with stock moto g (when it does not detect NTFS it cannot format to fat32 also)
Format ur pen drive to FAT32 using "PC" then you can connect

Hey guys I wanted to ask if I can backup my current rom to my pendrive via otg cable(as I don't have space in my Internal and external memory) via cwm recovery please help..
Thanks
Sent from my GT-I9105P
i want to restore/backup from twrp via OTG cable but i cant enable USB pendrive which is formatted to exfat in TWRP
i cannot put my backed up rom in my internal storage forever because of space issues .. so therefore i transferred the backed up rom to my pc .. now i just need to restore that backup via otg in twrp is it possible if incase it is bricked in future??
can anybody give me a working TWRP which is having a otg support ?
PS: simply, all i want is to restore the backup rom via a PC or OTG in TWRP other than through internal memory. hope you get it
Is OTG supported for the honor 6 H60-L04. If so, which format should I use, NTFS, exFAT or something else ?
PS: My plan is to make a nandroid backup with twrp on my usb.

If you have 2 backups, it is always better. I know people who had a bootloop and tried to recover from sdcard and failed.
P.S: I have got an otg cabel and it works. The USB has to be in exFAT Format to work. For me NTFS doesnt work(you can only read but not write).

Yeah NTFS support needs some kernel tweaking.
Hello,
I'm looking for kind of help with OTG USB support.
Actually i have an usb C key (256gb SanDisk) designed for mobile use. But can't get it works on Mi 12.5 global. Any solution please ?
I tried both exFat and Ntfs format.
Nb : its working like a charm via TWRP but not in the Rom
Thanks guys for helping me
format it with TWRP to ext4 if that's what your internal memory is.
