Is OTG supported for the honor 6 H60-L04. If so, which format should I use, NTFS, exFAT or something else ?
PS: My plan is to make a nandroid backup with twrp on my usb.

If you have 2 backups, it is always better. I know people who had a bootloop and tried to recover from sdcard and failed.
P.S: I have got an otg cabel and it works. The USB has to be in exFAT Format to work. For me NTFS doesnt work(you can only read but not write).

Yeah NTFS support needs some kernel tweaking.

What capacity card do you have with exFat partition? I just put in a 64GB micro sd with exFat and I not seeing the file. Stick mount was able to mount the partition but no app could read the card contents. Then I tried Paragon exFat, NTFS app and it said that exFat support is reserved for OEM/s ... so no-go there as well.

It worked after I copied the files over to N5 and N7 both. I typed in my post first and read your links second. All is good here. Thanks.

I use StickMount for read NTFS USB pendrive, but it's possible to add write support (with stock or franco.Kernel)?
Hi all, I wanna drop a query here.
Did any body tried to connect Western Digital Hard drive to Note Pro 12.2? I did everything, but really, I was disappointed because I wasn't able to connect it using OTG Cqble.
What format is it? I haven't been able to get ntfs to work yet, each of my drives show up as blank drives. I'm not about to change them to another format just for this tablet... migrating files off and then back on after formatting wouldn't be worth my time.

I was able to connect both an NTF and. EXFAT drive to my unrooted NotPro. Had to use special software of the ntf and then it was read only. With the exfat it is r/w and connects with native software.

You mean that if I will root my NotPro, then I will be able to connect my 1TB to it, and transfer files, or only reading?

If you are willing to root you can connect an NTFS drive and read or write to it. Not sure it matters what size
If you are not willing to root you can only read ntfs but can read/write an exfat drive. Mine is 1Tb. I believe exfat does have a size limit but not sure what it is.

Ironically is not as clear cut as that. I'm rooted and had issues with NTFS. Not sure why, but my 64 gb usb flash drive formatted NTFS would not work, neither would a 1tb Western digital passport. I tried stickmount, paragon and usb otg helper. Eventually dumping all three apps and formatting the flash drive to exfat was the only solution that would work. I'm only monkeying around so I'm not about to try to backup the hard drive to another one just to reformat it to exfat. I guess I'll buy a hard drive someday for this tablet. .. I'm starting to think that exfat is the most reliable way to ensure compatibility.

Well - yes and no.
I've just ordered this tablet and am very exited.
Regarding ntfs:
I tried this on my Note3. Yes i could read/write ntfs drives.
However I could only read 1 logical drive.
I had a 64 Gig stick partitioned in 2 logical ntfs drives. I could only access/detect one of them.
I read that this somehow relates to SE-linux in "enforcing" mode.
Couldn't figure out how to set to "permissive". A simple shell command didn't work. Yes I tried SU'ing the command as well.
Will try to find that post again.
If it is a se-linux related issue it stands to reason that it'll translate to Note Pro as well - doesn't it?
Regards
Elo

Do you mean read/write to your PC HDD?
If not your phone does not have a HDD, instead it uses flash memory not formatted in NTFS

Well If it's a USB HDD it is unlikely to work as mobile phones don't offer enough power over USB to keep an HDD running (Not any that I have tried anyway) but if it is in another PC or NAS then you should be able to as there are many apps (Not that I can remember any but I'll have a look)
Hi guys,
I bought a otg micro sd card reader.
I want to move my apps to my otg so it won't take that space on my phone itself
Is there any app for that?
Hope someone can help me!
Thanks

Link2sd plus from pkaystore does that but maybe you need to change and selinux policy to work properly.
link2sd should work but if im not wrong you may need to install se linux mode changer to make it permissive for it to work. Also i may be wrong but when i tried this few months back i couldnt get it to work because of some filesystem issue

Yup you should change it to ext2 and give it a shot, I haven't done it myself but it should work, however just in case try it with a small pendrive or something cheap

Actually i have an usb C key (256gb SanDisk) designed for mobile use. But can't get it works on Mi 12.5 global. Any solution please ?
I tried both exFat and Ntfs format.
Nb : its working like a charm via TWRP but not in the Rom
Thanks guys for helping me
format it with TWRP to ext4 if that's what your internal memory is.
