I used V3.07 version of Odin to load TWRP2.6.3.0 and even though I had to do it multiple times, it did take it.

Firstly I have to say ODIN3 1 CLICK does not work on my phone.
I flashed a I9000 rom.. darky's as I remember. then I was swiching to a different rom and the cable got unpluged. My phone would noty respond to anything..but 24 hours later i got it onto the Downloading screen!
the FULL ODIN3 does see the phone and gives me a yellow com port...the odin 1 click does not.
the trouble is I dont know where to find..much less WHAT to look for to fill in the odin3 full.
everyone here in the USA seems to use the ODIN3 1 click and not full odin.
I need help finding:
SELECT OPS:
SELECT IMAGE TO DOWNLOAD (BOOT)
(PHONE)
(PDA)
(CSC)
Select integrate package (ONE PACKAGE)
and what checkboxes to check to get the phone back to a working state.
thank you very much!!

I AM USING ODIN MULTIDOWNLOADER VERSION 4.03
Try this thread:

All you need is the jf6.tar in the pda slot and run Odin.
I'm sure you've tried this but be sure to open Odin 1 click before plugging in the phone

oKAY after I got the phone in Downloading mode I unplugged USB from my comp and started odin3 1 click and replugged USB in captivate and low and behold! Odin3 1 click FOUND a yellow port! hurray!
PROBLEM!
I clicked START on odin3 and I have been waiting for almost an hour now..I do not see any progress bars on my phone or computer.
I know that the last time i used one click it did not taker THIS long.
Looking for advice.

Well unplugged and pulled the battery on the CAP and got it back into DL mode and plugged usb into odin1 click waiting comp.
Immediately I see more progress in that the Bar has appeared on the phone and the computer..along with some file names as they are written to the phone. 10 miunutes later the screen of the CAP goes BLANK..no other changes for the next 10 minutes.. what should I do folks? ODIN is reporting the last file written to phone was factoryfs.rfs
The Phone kept stalling on oDIN.. So I tried a different computer...BINGO! phone fixed!
It has been said and I will concur.
You cant Brick this phone!

I tried the process again would not work stuck at "firmware upgrade encountered ad issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again. Message reads
I tried the power button volume up and down nothing is working. NEED HELP!
When you see that error screen your still in download mode. Plug back into computer and reflash the odon tar again. Be careful this time

Yeah it will say error select recovery mode in keys.
But your still in dl mode. I have pulled the cable during odin atleast ten times
Your fine just proceed
no. on the top screen says odin mode. product name:sgh-i727
custom binary download: yes (2 counts)

Your not reading what were trying to tell you. That is still download mode. Flash the odin tar again
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
It'll happen again and again if you flash often. It may not say download mode BUT IT IS. Simply unplug your phone. Open Odin. Flash. Wait. It will work I promise. If u were fully bricked you would have no screen.

Try holding down power + volume down for a couple seconds. You should see the phone reboot. When it does, quickly press and hold the home button in addition to the power + volume down to re-enter download mode. Now you should be able to flash back to stock or whatever else.
Im so thankful of your reply, seriously. Im at work atm so ill try that in about 2 hours, really hope it works.. Anychance it could be hard bricked, im so scared.

I highly doubt your phone is hardbricked. I was in the same position you are now while trying to flash TWRP and the method has worked fine for me
Hope so
Thanks for your help, thankfully after it rebooted all was well. But still stuck with o2 branded handset, tried over again the dame thing keeps getting stuck at nand write. Im using odin 3.09 and ive updated kies, used different usb sockets. Any idea why its not workin?

Disable Kies in Windows task manager before you use Odin or the flash may fail.

These are the threads I like to see. Issue presented...advice was given...issue figured out. No flaming.
I have a galaxy tab 2 GT-P3113.
Currently it will not do much of anything. I have not touched it in months but decided to try again.
In the past I have flashed many roms and kernels on it and even dual booted it at one point.
It became unstable and slow so I put it back to stock firmware. However it was still very slow and unresponsive like an old XP pc.
I don't remember exactly what I was doing but I assume I tried to reflash the stock firmware again via kies and since then it has been basically bricked.
If it does power on it says 'Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again.'
Well I tried kies and get device not responding. When I plug it in to odin it lights up yellow and if I remember correctly it should be green. However I cannot even get it into download mode to use odin. I am afraid I have completely bricked it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

well jtag is the one thing I have zero experience with? Do you know anything about it?
Hey experts so i have the S6 gm-920F i updated OTA and now the phone doesnt recognize the fingerprint and forgot the password so i install TWRP 3 via odin booted the recovery and transferred my data successfully then I made a factory reset to delete the passcode to be able to use the phone after making the reset and pressing reboot system it gets stuck in the recovery the system doesn't reboot so i tried hard rebooting the phone is stuck on black screen that says samsung galaxy s6 and restarts restarts restarts (bootloop) i tried reflash the 6.0.1 bootloader no luck then flash 5.1 bootloader flashed philz recovery then 6.0.1 bootloader still nothing! Did i damage something serious ? does a fresh firmware install through odin bring my phone back to life ? Thanks in advance
Please try a fresh install of Firmware. Install MM bootloader and modem first with TWRP MM compatible recovery and download an extra lite MM rom to see if your phone will come back to life, (using extra lite package is less of a download than a stock 2gb download)
TWRP is what gave me the problem once i enter i can exit from there ! i got the stock firmware tried to flash using odin then get fail! please can you give a noob some simple instructions with links ?
Hi mate, Try flashing through ODIN a TAR image for your phone version. You can find a TAR on a website such as sammobile. Once you have download the tar put your phone into download mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power keys at the same time. Start ODIN and connect the phone to your computer, click AP and browse and find the TAR file you downloaded. Then click start and it should flash back stock firmware for your phone.

Another Solution i have is to try Samsung Smart switch software. That might solve your problem, I have used it before when I was stuck .

I can't promise that you haven't, however it is extremely hard to hard brick a phone these days. There are many ways to try and restore it to previous condition not all of which I am familiar with, if this doesn't solve your problem keep scouring XDA for an answer, undoutably a more skilled dev will be able to help you
