I am really excited like most of you to get a Gear S2. Where can you pre-order the Gear S2? It is supposed to be released on Friday but I havn't found one place where we can pre-order one. Has anyone else seen where we can pre-order from?
I havent. Still eagerly awaiting to pre-order (In the US)

If you noticed the bestbuy.ca website pushed the release date to 16 October. Delay???

I can't believe that if it does get released this week, that no one is offering pre-orders nor any actual confirmation of release date here in US.

I'm with you on this. Release day is supposed to be 3 days from now and Samsung still hasn't officially post the prices or date in the US. I don't see this happening in 3 days if none of this has been officially announced by Samsung yet. I see a delay in our future. Maybe on Friday they will announce the real release date and price?
Can it really be considered a delay if they never announced pricing or a release date?
It is strange that this isn't any pre-ordering for the device, but I keep reading that the device will be on sale tomorrow. I guess that I'll just have to go to Best Buy at 11 tomorrow. I want the Classic!

BestBuy all around Los Angeles area open at 10am. I plan on swinging by to pick up a gray/black sport tomorrow morning.
I've called a couple bestbuys and Samsung and no one has a clue if it will be available to buy in stores tomorrow.
I haven't even seen it on a retailers website yet.
I just left best buy and the one here has them and will release them tomorrow. However, they said that they only have the Sport and the Classic will not be available until the 9th. Darn.

All of my local Best Buy stores say that they have the S2 in Black available (non-Classic). The White one and the Classic are unavailable at any stores near me. I ordered one for in-store pickup today! Go to the BestBuy page, and search for Gear S2!
Yup, Best Buy Union Square only has the sports (one left!), guess the classic is delayed....

I went to BB yesterday and talked to a Samsung salesperson. He did not want to show me what he had but, I think he mentioned he has the white one. Now after checking BB website and pulled up same store near me it says black sports one is available ( able to add to cart). White and classic are labeled coming soon. I'd like to know if Classic is in short supply or will not ship until Oct 9th like someone mentioned.
I still called BB today at 10am and confirmed that they only have black sport type S2 in stock. BB inventory system is correct for S2.
I went to Best Buy today also and wasn't able to get anything but the Black Sport. I went ahead and bought the Black Sport, knowing that I can exchange it in the next 45 days. Best Buy again, said they didn't get any Classic watches
Got the sport from best buy today, the Samsung guy told me they should be getting the classics in next week but he wasn't positive. I plan on maybe exchanging it it it does come out within 2 weeks. Also got a free T-shirt from them which was pretty cool lol

I'll wait for the 3 G version. But they really should add the 3g version in the classic variant and not just the sport. May be a deal breaker for me.

Does anyone know the real official release date of the S2 Classic? I know a few people got them from Best Buy and Macy's but neither of them have any in stock now it seems. Samsung has royally screwed up the release of this watch. When I tried Best Buy one time it said October 21st, but now it just says "Coming Soon". Any ideas or clues?
Macy's is showing in stock for me, and Best Buy was in stock this past week but not anymore.
Yeah release date has passed just low on stock is what i would say. Some of my bestbuys have them but not all.

Macy's says in stock, but when you click checkout it says product is unavailable. I've tried to buy it three times over the phone, but it won't go through. Best Buy Canada website says the classic and white version will be available on October 30th, so I maybe that is when.
I ordered mine from Samsung on the 2nd, and it hasn't shipped yet. I called customer service last week and they said it would ship the 21st.
Samsung website has recently changed from 3 to 4 weeks to 1 to 3 business days for the classic as well, which matches the 21st.

Thanks for the info. Macy's told me they ship on the 21st and I saw that date at Best Buy one time as well. I guess they are finally getting full inventory.
Hopefully, I have had such a hard time buying this watch i'm not sure it's worth it anymore haha. I mean I love everything about the GS2, but this out of stock BS is insane.

I went to the Macy's at South Coast Plaza here in the OC and they had the black S2 and Classic in stock and on display.
I didn't like how rough the leather band was. It was hard to strap the watch on and take it off, especially compared to the S2. Also, the screen is noticeably smaller than the S2. Glad I got to see it in person.
I'm definitely getting the silver S2 3G version in November.

By the time this watch is in stock anywhere something newer and better will be out. I don't even know if I want it anymore. The 21st is here and still no word on availability. Horrible release from Samsung.

Last week bestbuy had two of them and I know of 2 people at work that have the classic. So I would say that your looking in the wrong place or waiting for something special if you don't have one. Easiest place right now is to just buy from Samsung Direct rather then driving around to stores checking stock.
You probley feel like an iPhone user right now how it takes 1 month after release to get the product in stock.

Not sure what you don't understand about the words "in stock", but thanks for playing. I've been on top of all the local stores here in/around philly and it's been hopeless. So you and your friends got one of the initial 5 pieces that were sent to limited stores. Pat yourself on the back.
I preordered S2 Classic on Amazon, oct 3rd, surprisingly delivered on oct 13th.
Had mine ordered on Amazon with no delivery date in sight. Cancelled and placed an order with Samsung online based on availability.
Yesterday I called them and verified that they received a large amount of stock. They told me that mine will ship within a day or so, and yet, I get an email notification today saying that mine is on back order! Samsung has done a terrible job of misjudging the demand forecast and is being awfully slow in supplying to meet the demands of its enthusiastic fans. There is no excuse for not supplying the product that's in demand. It's just poor planning and execution to say the least. I'm debating whether I still want this or not.

lol. samsung has them "in stock" with free shipping over $50. waiting for the stores to stock them vs ordering from the site.

Now Samsung has officially pissed off a long-term fan of Samsung products- ME!
First I place an order on their on-line store based on "Ships in 1-3 business days" promise only to find out that my order gets placed on the back order status a day later.
Then, I get a promise of delivery from the batch of shipment from fulfillment center on 10/23.
Then, my order status becomes unavailable.
What the heck?
All this after trying to order from Bestbuy, Amazon and Macy and waiting for more than a week already.
This is not a proper way to handle your loyal customer!
It's bad enough to keep waiting for the availability of the product 20 days after releasing the product.
I don't need this false marketing and non-responsive customer service and support on top of that.

I'm creating and adding to this list as much as I possibly can. I just received my watch last week so be patient as I try out new products.
As from the title visible, I feel cheated by Samsung. I should perhaps state beforehand that the Gear S3 is my first Samsung device (apart from a tablet which my wife uses), so I have not much experience with their practices. I bought the Gear S3 because Samsung in its advertisements made some promises which set the Gear S3 apart from the competition for my opinion: The Gear S3 should come with Spotify support and with an app for Komoot, an outdoor app: http://www.samsung.com/de/galaxy/gear-s3/experience/ The availability of these two apps let me buy the Gear S3.
In the time between the order and the delivery, I read in the news that Spotify was late with its stand alone app (!) for the Gear S3. Well, I understood, that this does not affect me too much, because there would be a phone dependent app for the watch. But there is NOTHING.
Neither is there anything like a Komoot app for the Gear S3. Hi, You should contact the Samsung importer for your country, Germany?, and see what they say. If you purchased the watch based on that Samsung advert and Samsung do not honour their sales advert you could and should request a full refund.

I can see the N-TV App in the Gear App, it downloads, but it fails to install on the S3.
Update: In the meantime it has turned out that Komoot's employee in charge of their forum was badly informed. The Komoot app for the S3 is in fact available and has been available since mid-November. But the app is not yet compatible with non-Samsung phones yet. Komoot has promised to solve this issue soon.
Anyone paying attention to the strange situation with the Samsung upgrade programs?
1. They killed the legacy one, apparently. It isn't offered this year.
2. The new Access program (which came out in June and is AMAZING for frequent upgraders) isn't offered on this phone either...
I had a rep tell me it'll come out after the pre-order period, so maybe they don't want us getting free goodies AND Access?? Seems silly to punish the pre-order people. I was also told I could jump on the program with 30 days of buying my phone, which I'm sure is a lie but they promised me and I have it in email saved, haha.
Anyone else hoping for or waiting for Access for the Note20 line?
I looked into Access as well before I pre-ordered but kind of figured what they told you. They don't want to give away $200 in freebies and then you could dump the phone after 9 months and only be out of pocket about $350.
Thanks for bringing this up. It looks like you all have figured it out. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to add the Note 20 to the program. I've never had a Samsung, but this program seems like it would be very useful for frequent upgraders.
Not surprised to see that so far... Samsung appears to have lied to me. No Access program still.
