if you visit htc dev site again and go to unlock bootloader
you will see 1 or 2 last steps on how to relock bootloader
anyway use these commands to relock your device
fastboot oem lock
fastboot reboot-bootloader
i assume you know how to do it

U can re-lock bootloader by using this command, however it will say re-locked instead of locked...
Code:
fastboot oem lock
I bought a used Z3. I want to make sure that the bootloader has not been relocked. I have gone into the service menu and it does not say that it is unlocked. If it had been relocked, would it say it there? Is there a way I can check that it hasn't been unlocked and then relocked?
*#*#7378423#*#*
Service info/configuration
Bootloader unlock allowed:No (Boot is locked and cannot be unlocked)
Bootloader unlock allowed:yes (Boot is loacked but can be unlocked)
Bootloader unlocked:yes (Boot is unlocked)
Greg
I don't think you can tell if it has been locked and relocked

Afaik
It won't
yeah I've got Bootloader unlock allowed:yes but that doesn't say whether it's been relocked.
on some HTC devices it would say "relocked" in the bootloader, that's the kind of thing I'm looking for.
and unfortunately I don't have anything to miracast with anyway.

Is there a way to just root your phone without unlocking your boot loader? I just want to simply root and install some apps that require root but that is it.
Thanks...

I'm pretty sure that you need to unlock your bootloader first.
Not sure if you can unlock - root - relock ??
I think this is not possible yet without unlocking the bootloader.

Once you unlock and relock your bootloader, its status will be relocked, so your warranty is void anyways.
So I have to unlock the boot loader first. Dam I assume that is on the difficult side of things as well...

If you want the status to show "locked" and not relocked to get your warranty back, you can use the downgrade package from nougat to marshmallow and flash stock B131.
I managed to relock my bootloader using this method : my fastboot screen says "locked" (and not "relocked")

Wait for kingroot method. No need to unlocking bootloader to root, people do it because its only one way to have root on honor 8 now - by flashing supersu in twrp, and twrp/modified recovery you can flash only if you unlocked your bootloader first.

I confirm.
Can I lock my bootloader again? Because I can't flash anythis, because FRP is locked, I think that is the problem why I can't flash no?And in the development settings enable oem unlock it's blocked and I can't switch the button...
Usually users report to do the rollback to MM and they get the phone locked and unrooted
Just like out of the box..
But in your case I would be more carefull since oem unlock can not be changed..
Let some more experiaced user tell you if you can do the rollback to MM evan with the
oem unlock not changed..
Use the adb command with the unlocking code you got

What to do with adb and unlocking code, because bootloader is unlocked, but i can t do anything, and i cannot enable oem unlock
I have answered similar question here. Now you have to flash rollback and after that B131 (everything as stock). Then you have to update to version you want to unlock and follow my steps.
