Make sure that your usb cable is not defect or try it out with another cable. After the plug in wait some seconds that your windows has enough time to recognize it. Was usb debugging always enabled? Or maybe flashed a rom or wiped your rom? That could lead the device to have it enable before the flash and maybe the new rom has it disabled by default.

Did you enable usb debugging from the phone settings? And is your fastboot folder complete with all the utilities?
The problem for me was unknown device under Win8.1
This link helped my solve the problem of unknown device under Win8.1

USB debugging shouldn't affect fastboot status. Only ADB.
Happy to help.
USB Debbuging should be enabled, I had the same issue with Win8.1 and use USB2.0 ports only, not USB3.0 and better not even a USB2.0 external Hub device.

[HELP] Stuck on 1+ logo

Hi guys. I come here in search for help as I already tried possibly all the methods and unbrick solutions that I saw to fix my Oneplus One. Basically when I turn it on it gets stuck on "1+ powered by android" screen. I can't go to Recovery Mode and I can only enter the Fastboot mode if I'm not connected to PC. It doesn't get recognized when I connect it to PC unless I press the "Vol. up + Power" button combination. After this, it gets recognized on windows' device manager as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" and the phone gets in a mode that doesn't show anything on the screen and apparently necessary to do what's described in this post. This was the last thing that I've tried after I tried several other solutions.
Thanks in advance to anyone who might help me. I love this phone and I hate just the thought of buying a new one.

I already intalled fastboot drivers and put the phone in fastboot mode. When I plug the phone to the PC it doesn't get recognized. Can you tell me how to install the fastboot drivers? Maybe I missed something.

Try using win7.
PS: did you launched the tool with administrator privileges?
I download the latest adb and fastboot drivers from Android Studio site under command line tools.
Here is a good Article on how to configure the drivers on your machine.https://www.xda-developers.com/adb-fastboot-any-directory-windows-linux/

Phone not detected in fastboot

I have tried just about everything i can think of to make the phone be detected in fastboot, but nothing is working. The phone is detected through adb, but when i boot into fastboot and run fastboot devices, no devices are found. Device manager aslo says a code 28 error on the drivers for the device in fastboot, and i have looked all over for fastboot drivers and cannot find any. Im really stumped atm.
sucks you never got an answer to this having the same issue
Had this issue and disabling driver verification on my windows 11 laptop solved this. Hope this helps
