Hello Guys,

My problem now is the screen lock of the stock GB, It's lagging many times.
Is there any solution for it (without disabling the anomations) or any alternative ??????
I tested go locker and it's good but takes big size og memory.
Thanks in advance

sadly it cannot be fixed, it seams like ace plus will lag sometime at lockscreen if you leave your pnone too long.. changing roms do help but the issue is still there, just it is reduced. i would suggest not use any lockscreen at all or wait a few second upon unlock the phone for the lockscreen to stable down, then unlock the phone.

Talking about I5800XXJPF

Hi everybody,
Here is my first experience with this version :
- Rooted successfuly with OneClickRoot 1.5.5
- GPS : first, it wasn't working properly (slow and not allways working). Then I installed GPS Status (which download an xtra.bin file) and put XTRA option activated in gpssetup2. I also modified the gps.conf file as shown in an other thread. ==> GPS working good and quick ! good news !
*EDIT* : FasterFix doesn't work, application display stays black, no menu scroll down to change location. Octy doesn't improve gps too. Only way for me was to change manually gps.conf.
- Quadrant score : about 350 with some very shorts slow down during test ... I don't know why (I killed every process before runing quadrant)....
- It's smooth to use but ... after "playing" with GPS Status, GPS Test and Maps, system becomes VERY slow during a few minutes, even after killing all process ...
I don't know if LagFix V2 will resolve this problem, I don't think so but I didn't make the test. Quadrant score goes to 570 with LagFix but what is the real effect on the system ?
- No other problem discovered yet but there are a lot of functions to test ...
- Let's see tomorow about battery life ...
What about you ?
Best regards and sorry for my english ...

Thanx for the feedback.. also waiting to know the battery life as well.. having hell lot of problem with JPA and JPB (
Installed it a while ago, but haven't noticed any big differences in smoothness or features. No news with GPS either. It still works relatively well after applying modified gps.conf.
The rom still does not include Finnish or Swedish keyboard layouts, but you can install gingerbread keyboard that has them.
Rooting confirmed to work with OneClickRoot 1.5.5.
Also, MusicPlayer.apk from stock android doesn't work anymore. It did with XXJPB, but now it complains about shared libraries missing. Will just have to use the samsung's one.

This slowness bug after using GPS has was in JPB too. The phone might become completely unusable for few minutes. Reboot of course solves this as well as waiting.

Will do.. also one thing i noticed is swype isn't set as a default so you'll see the stock layout at first.. remember seeing some post somewhere about swype not being in this build and assuming it didn't come with it but no worrys just have to change the default

This was the case in all previous firmwares as well? Swype was never the default input method for me. Talking about Swype: does it respond quick to the word you swyped? Because With JPA/JPB I always had to wait a few seconds after swyping a word before it would appear on the screen.

Could have been because my phone didn't clear my old settings when i reflashed.. and nope swype doesn't seem to have any kind of delay on the words.. at least not when it finds the exact word.. if it finds multiple words it has a slight delay tho

Honeycomb style unlock screen

For the How-to guide please refer to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=962189
It's nothing like a honeycomb. It still is only possible to unlock by sliding finger down.
U can unlock in any directions

Not true my friend. I can unlock the screen in any directions.
See this other video:
I guess you haven't tried it. This is not like the other work in progress Honeycomb lockscreen project(s) on XDA forum.
This is using Lockbot Pro.
If you are going to do something like this, you might as well use ripple lock.
Also, the Themes and Apps section is just around the corner, and is a much more suitable place for this. This is not android development.
Thanks for the info fella

LOL...do u know how buggy ripple lock is compared to this lockbot pro solution?
The reason for my post is "Information sharing" bcs not everybody is aware of this and not everyone visits the Themes and Apps section.

There is one problem on your video - the clock is moving too when you unlock screen. Nice try, but it's just a very simple mock.
Source code ??? anyone ?

Like I said, there are many other honeycomb unlock screen solution and i've tried some and they all end up making my phone lag or only work sometime or some which u must flash via OR caused my phone to boot loop.
So far this solution works pretty well for me.
I don't mind the clock moving along because after u unlock the screen, the clock from the lock screen disappear. So it does not matter to me.
Ripple lock works very well, on my SGSII atleast and looks better too.

Huawei launcher restarting too much, how to stop it ?

Hello,
I have the MT7-L09 and love it, but i find that the huawei launcher is pretty bad sometimes. Well, my biggest problem is that it's restarting all the time (just à few) and i don't know why and how to stop it.
Explanations : for exemple im on Chrome app, then, I press the home buttons, and there is no icons for a moment, they appear one by one and it's taking time... Too much time !!
Am i the only one who got this ? Is someone has à solution for me ?
Thanks all

Improve Multitasking by using the MinFree Manager in Rom Toolbox

Is it solved by now? How is it doing with Nova Launcher?
You could root it (King Root) and use an app like Rom Toolbox (Pro?) to lower its OOM (out of memory parameters/values). It's a matter of a couple of clics in the App Manager/Tasks section.
You can also use the MinFree Manager in the same section (swipe from the right edge to the left) to improve multitasking. I have used it before and it's a good solution if you multitask
a lot and if your device is powerful enough to handle all those processes minimized and not closed/being closed by the system. I have used it with my Xperia ZL and it could slow down a little if I had too many apps minimized (like 8 and using it too quickly?). But it was the solution to apps being closed by the system. I did it because I saw there was like 500MB of RAM not being used.
Battery life can suffer from doing these changes, but it's worth if you need this multitasking.
I hope that helps.
But, I've got a problem with battery life with my Mate 7 L09. I hope you could share your battery stats here

ROM Reviews
Okay, so I have downloaded and flashed the ROM. Here what I feel about this ROM.
Since not much has changed in the ROM, there are many things to be added and removed.
The PROS
Better Gaming Performance
Smooth operation of Apps
No heat problem
The CONS
Too many useless apps
Audio output is still poor
Camera quality isn't improved
THINGS TO BE ADDED IN THIS ROM
Make it easy to edit the shortcuts in notification panel
All running apps should be shown by tapping the LEFT button ONCE. (Not press and hold the middle button)
Improve the App Switching duration.
Option to change the color of notification light
Add Guest Mode feature
Rest is just awesome about this ROM. I hope Tejas will provide us with the update soon.
Thanks bro for all your work.
all removed
thank you very much waiting from long time thanks a lot

as IN THE NEW ROM THAT I AM COOKING
I SEEN THAT IF I DISABLE THE BOOT ANIMATION , WE GET MORE 120 MB RAM FREE IN PHONE
I THINK THIS IS DUE TO MEMORY LEAK BUG IN ANDROID 5.0.x ROMS
SO CHOOSE BETWEEN BOOT ANIMANTION OR 120 MB MORE RAM.
