PA for VZW HTC One m8 - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Saw this and realized how much I really missed running PA and their innovation. Anybody looking to bring PA to our device:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
UPDATE
Found this thread(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2744448). From what I've been able to gather from searching, it looks like it will run on our m8 as well.

I havent yet. There are still a couple of main bugs like not being heard if you use the speakerphone that I'm waiting to get worked out before I give it a go.

i can confirm that changing to the dark theme gives 1 hour boost to battery, i think its related to the amoled screen.

I was just surprised when I came across the Xt1080mdev
PACman nightly build and I didnt hear any news about it like the CM11 nightlies. Was never really expecting to much support for the droid maxx so any is appreciated... Thank you PACman devs!
EDIT: and at least they support active display
Bugs found so far... anyone else?
I have had the PacMan ROM installed for the past week since unlocking & rooting my Maxx.
I have found when in a phone call and using speakerphone if you try to switch back to regular handset use it will mute audio and freeze the touchscreen and buttons from working. The phone call stays active but the other person can't hear you though you can hear them. The only remedy was to reset holding down + power.
I have been able to recreate this issue three times now.
Other then that I have only had two crashes where is says something to the effect of, "something failed blame it on split screen"
This has happened twice usually when quickly switching between apps or menus.
HAs anyone had any other issues?
ROM used:
pac_moto_msm8960dt-nightly-20140303
...and while I was typing this I saw there are new nightly builds. :silly:
Still it would be nice to know if anyone has this issue on a later nightly build.

[Q] ROM 4.4.3 HAMMERHEAD Mahdi-Rom 2.6

I am a pretty much new to all of this, have had some experience eg. I've rooted my phones in the past, installed custom roms. But that is as far as it goes. I am not a developer, I know nothing of posting logcats. I just flashed Mahdi-Rom 2.6, love it, I have absolutely no complaints. All I am doing is posting what I perceive to be a small glitch. Whether its fixed or not matters not to me, its not that big of a deal, and for all I know it may not even be a glitch, but if it is and you run into it, hopefully you do know how to present a proper logcat and maybe these awesome fellas here will help you out. Here is the glitch I am talking about. When in immerse mode and using pie, longpress is useless. Again, doesn't bother me at all, but I figured what the heck, might as well report it just in case it bothers someone else. Also screencapture doesn't work at all! Again I rarely if ever use it. I will say that this Rom, this website, this whole experience makes me wonder what took me so long to make the switch from apple to android. You guys rock!!!!

New HTC One M8 user

I'm currently still using my Galaxy S3 with Verizon. Since it's been a while that I had an HTC (OG Incredible) I wanted to get back. It was between this and the LG G3. I ordered this from SWAPPA and it comes rooted with s-off and the HK audio modification. Since there is an abundance of information I would prefer to just ask questions instead of reading all of the pages on the forum my main question is how does CyanogenMod and generally AOSP ROMs run on this phone? Should I just stick with CleanRom?
Thanks.

GPE Rom. Been running it for about a week now. No issues at all. Some are reporting camera lag, but I haven't noticed any.
CM is still on nightlies I believe, but it seems pretty stable from what everyone is posting.
If you want a closer to stock experience, stick with CleanRom. I had that from Day 1 and not one issue showed up.

On AOSP you will loose your hk mod and any other sense features i.e. dual camera ect.

[Q] Best ROM in your opinion?

Second Post:
Hello all!
Im currently running Liquid Smooth on my g3, its okay, but im looking for to explore more ROMS, my goal is good performace and good benchmarks!
What would you say is the best (most developed) G3 rom so far? Thanks!
Honestly, at this point they are all very much alpha/beta builds. I don't think one is really going to be that far ahead of the others. In fact, I bet most of them are using the same kernel at this point. This will change over time, but it is so early in the development stage that most of the ROMs are basically at the same point in the development cycle. It really comes down to which ROM offers the modifications and options that you are looking for.
At this point i am getting the best battery life from timmytim's CM11. However, liquidsmooth seems to have the most customizations and option so far(including the weird mandatory floating mode for chrome). But, as previously mentioned, these are all very primitive builds, all using the same kernel and all have preety much the same options. Anyway, once some devs get around to making official versions of ROMs for us, we're pretty much stuck with these featureless and underdeveloped builds. Just my two cents.
Im using CloudyG3 1.2 with no issues or mayors bugs so far... And coming from a LG G2 user always using Cloudy's ROMs i must say that are one of the best and solid ROM i had tried.
If you haven't tried it yet its worth giving it a shot.
I was shocked to see how few ROMs there are for such a popular phone. Why is this? On my Note 2, I feel like there were a dozen ROMs within the first 6 months of release, and I never had any lack of them to choose from after that point.
Are people not interested in developing for the G3, is ATT too locked down, or is it just too early?

It's still to early. Although the bump exploit has been know for about 2 months, it has only been about 2 weeks since it was available to developers. So considering we are only about 2 weeks into actually being able to customize and build ROMs/Kernels, we are doing pretty well IMHO.
Oh cool. So I have options on build D85010f right now? Or do you think I should wait?
Loots like root methods are up to 10D

Second post and you choose to use it on a fairly rude question. One of the niceties we afford our developers who work for little or no compensation is not to ask "who is the best". They all have pros and cons depending on your tastes, try a few and see what you like. But don't ask "who is the best" or "what is the ETA". Yeah, the latter one is a CM thing, but it is sound practice.

I'm also using this quite successfully as a daily driver. Maybe a screen redraw every now and again when switching apps but otherwise it's actually working better in many regards than stock.
Battery life is excellent!

Lollipop?

In the past few days, I've seen that a lot of devices have started to get Lollipop ROMs, such as the 1+1, Xperia Z3, Galaxy SIII Mini, and even the SII. I am wondering, is there any developer currently working on Lollipop for the d2vzw/d2lte? If not, does anybody have any idea how to compile Lollipop for the SIII?
Been lurking around as well. Noticed that the i9300 and the i747 models (no longer unified) both have Alpha Lollipop roms in production. Currently on Moto X (First Gen) but would love to dust off the old GS3 to get an early taste of 5.0. Been looking into porting but it's well over my head, plus I don't want to be the guy who bricks his backup by trying to port an early rom build. Would love to see a thread pop up tho about a release

Carbon Rom is moving in that direction, but it will take some time to see a build I'm sure. They don't tend to release unpolished roms.. Especially on a new version of Android

Makes sense. Haven't been around the scene in a while (my Moto X is locked down tight) so I thought I'd take a peek and see if you guys were getting any Lollipop love just yet lol Thanks for the response and I look forward to what the devs push out soon!
Welp, did a bit of digging and got the rom working on my GS3 but unfortunately I have no signal (voice) but LTE is working. At this point I imagine it's a kernel issue unless someone knows otherwise. gonna do a bit more digging tonight to see if I can't fix the problem.

Absolutely not. Only if it specifically states d2lte. This one says d2att which can and will brick your device

One of them may be updated, I'm not aware of any but I'm not always in the development forums anymore
From my CM11 S3
As the others have stated, I wouldn't recommend flashing the At&t variant even though we share similar hardware (basically the same). Since the GS3 is my backup, I tweaked their rom and it booted for me, but like I said, there is no voice/sms working even tho LTE does activate oddly. I went to the IRC to see what I needed to look into but the devs there confirmed that they are indeed working on a rom for you guys already and I know they have made better progress than me. Wasn't looking to duplicate efforts, so I said I'd just stop and wait like everyone else cuz it'll be so much safer in the end. Sorry if I got anyone hyped but legit builds are in the works by expert devs, so no worries!

Theres a VZW Lollipop ROM from Mastamoon that works pretty well. Its under his CM11.X thread though, a link on that thread is a page back or so.
Camera doesn't work, but you can download open camera from the market which works.

If its buggier than CM11 how come the home button doesn't work properly? Sounds like a bug to me, this is a good reason why a lot of people don't test things out until the bugs are worked out

The build, at least for me, has been pretty great so far. The home button does in fact work, you just can't wake the phone with the home button. But I understand that people need something very stable to use, but I'm OK with a few bugs.
