in cm11 i don't think you or anyone else would have glitches. glitches are related to custom kernel which devs already explained it.

you can have CM-11 without flashing a kernel just flash CM-11 and it contains it's own kernel.
if you need a custom kernel for a reason you can flash it after flashing CM-11.

Is this your first Android phone? If not, you should know that the options we have are very low in comparison with other devices. We have:
-CM10(check my baseband fix)
-NoZ. JB based. Was originally made for the E dual but works fine on the single sim version of the Xperia E.
-XboosT. ICS based. Same applies as NoZ
-Termin(my own ROM)
-CM11 Alpha release. Just wait for a Beta release. I'm not sure, but I don't think the Alpha is suited for daily use.
And that's it.

You need at least an unlocked bootloader to flash the kernel with fastboot.
You can find a howto in the description of the youtube video.
But you need to backup your data, because unlocking the bootloader will delete your data

The changes are the touchscreen firmware in the kernel and the hardboot support.
