So i was going to reflash my rom thru twrp recovery and after wiping everything but internal storage, come to find out, the rom I had on there was deleted a few days ago. So my phone currently doesnt have a OS. and wont boot past the samsung screen. I was thinking about just odining back but i have mad pics i have saved on my phone and i don't want to lose them. Is there anyway if i download the rom on my computer, I can some how get it on my phone via usb? or what options do i have so i dont lose everything
Copy it to an external sd, and flash it.

So I lost CWM recovery with the update to 1.10.7 Miui and was wondering if there is a way to start over that DOESNT lose my pics, downloaded files, and such from the sd card? I don't mind wiping the ROM but I dont want to have to reinstall all 10 gigs of pictures and downloaded files onto the phone again. Thanks!
Sorry man. I don't think that this is possible. The only way to go back to stock is wipe. Here's a link with the three ways to do it. You may need to PIT or not depending on whether you used Voo doo or not. All credit goes to prasadudwadia for making the compilation.

I know.
I personally was stuck with Miui because of the CWM "Red" being cut out. I had to install a "crap" kernal using SGS Kernal Flasher just to mess up the boot process just to get back in to "Red". After that was able to wipe/install anything I wanted. Don't know if this has been fixed, but was what I had to do.

When you Odin back to stock it doesn't erase you SD card lol only way to erase SD is if its corrupt or you actually hit format SD

so i just got my sgs3 and rooted it and unlocked the bootloader, flashed twrp, wiped and went to flash the efs thing and cant find any of my zips i put on the phone...what do i do? can i flash a rom with odin(new from the htc world) or do i need to go back to stock?
Are they on the root of your SD card?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
i thought they were, i tried flashing cwm through odin and now i cant even get to recovery, downloading stock .tar now to try again but its a huge download...:crying:
SD card must be formatted Fat32 or none of the recoveries will see it.
it should be, it was in my inc and i wiped and formatted it before i put it in

If it is fat32 it should be able to see it. If you format with phone it will format to extFat. Put it back in PC and and click computer. Right click the sddrive and it should give you the format. Can't help with CWM since I haven't used it since Tbolt. I am using TWRP with no issues.
card was formatted correctly...did it again just to be sure, 1 hour left for the stock .tar...lol
is there a way to get the internal sd card out easily? to check that?
i am booting again...did the factory root 66 thing and im back, gonna try flashing again tonight and hope it goes better this time...
thanks for the help that you guys gave!
I wiped the internal and did a factory reset and the phone hangs at the boot startup animation. What do I do to get it to boot up?
running sky ics with twrp. I can get it into twrp no problem but it looks like the backups are gone unless they are on the external sd that i removed which is the only thing I havent looked at yet. I did all this because I sold the phone and needed to wipe everything.
Thanks!
So no help huh?
Update. I put my old sd card in and there are some backups but they are cwm and not twrp. Any way to flash cwm back??
I may just dl sky ics onto my card using my note plug the card back in the skyrocket and install

so here is the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1808433 flash this in TWRP and reboot recovery you will be back on CWM where you will find your backups and you will be able to restore your Rom
You are the man and that will be the first thing I try after I try flashing the ROM back on through recovery. If it doesn't work then I'm definitely gonna use the backup through CWM
Update: I got it all fixed by flashing the ROM again through TWRP! I just had to download it on my way there phone and then put the card into the sky rocket

Hey all,
Recently, I had an issue with the SD card in my skyrocket. Phone will get stuck at custom boot screen for a while. After finally booting, I noticed I had to reinstall some apps...not all.
Anyways,
Right after this happened, I noticed that I could no longer perform a clockwork mod backup as I have done with no issues. It gets stuck randomly during the system files backup state. What can I do to fix this?
I have tried many things, including fix per, flash new cwm version and format new card and copy over all files previously other. Nothing seems to work.
Any help is appreciated...
Thanks

I would flash back to stock reload the whole initial bootloader and stock recovery then go and redo the actual superuser then put on the custom recovery try TWRP or you can try cwm again nothing against skaters CWM twrp is just easier for me
Ahh, was not familiar with twrp and have always used cwm. However, after your reply and downloading and flashing it, I must say I love the GUI and ease of use.
Anyways,
I flashed it and did perform a backup. While I did get two errors, it did actually complete and I believe it did save data to this SD card. Should I worry about the errors though?
What's the difference between this from recovery tool and cwm? Still can't get cwm to backup after that SD card issue.
Thank you much for quick reply

Thanks...
Should I worry about the two errors even if it did complete?
Also, how do you restore?
I tested by booting to twrp and hit the restore button. I browsed to directory on SD card where backup is but not sure what file to chose?
Thanks again...

I don't use twrp but shouldn't the backup be named after the time/date it was created. If that's true then you should know which backup to choose by looking at the time/date.
I'm thinking the folders for the failed backups are also there..
Hi all,
I recently rooted my P3113 tablet and backed up through Clockwork Mod to the internal sd storage. The attempted backup failed but still left a huge chunk of used memory that could not be accessed. So then I backed up my tablet to my Dropbox and that went well. Next, I did a factory reset and everything went normal but there was that chunk of memory from the previously failed CW Mod backup. I then went into the CW Mod boot and formatted everything. The tablet then proceeded to go into a boot loop and has been that way for the past couple hours. I am still able to access the CW Mod boot screen but I cannot successfully reboot into the normal state. So with all this said... Is there anything I can do to get my tablet back? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

go back to stock rom buddy and never format anything in cwm unless you are installing a custom rom who's dev has asked to format anything to flash it
