Hello guys
I have Sony Xperia L - Jellybean 4.2.2 - 15.3.A.1.17 - Rooted Stock ROM - Locked Bootloader
I'm facing a problem with Link2SD app, when I try to make a link ( any google playstore and APKs ) I got This error:
-----------------------
Failure
Link2SD package invalid
-----------------------
but all the other features of the app run correctly, I have read before something that might be the responsible for the error but I didn't totally understand it , that the directory where I'm trying to make the link might be changed to be ~ read only ~
So, Please I need any help and I'll be grateful.
I have the same problem. I've tried different versions of the app, etc, nothing seems to work.
LG Optimus F6 running Jelly Bean
Xperion Rom
Freedom Kernal.
Any version I use that is the plus version (which is needed to move a files internal files) doesn't work. I try to make a link, and get an error "Link2SD Package Invalid". I used to have no problem with the pro version.
Now the only way I can avoid that error is by installing the pro, and going with the basic to use.
Also I have same problem any advise?
Same here. Any ideas?
Im using this link2sd app. I can create link to sd card for the apps. Maximum apps are movngto sdcard successfully. I was facing one or two apps are not movng to sdcard. Onethng im usng sgy duos gts6102. Try to move another apps.. HIT >>>>> THANKS if i helped

This may happened due to root access check root access goto supersu and check the link2sd permission and you try system app insaller for link or install app directly to system
Discussing warez... Cracked apps... And anything else that avoids paying for paid versions of apps is not allowed on XDA, and can earn you holiday from the site quickly.
Also, there's a Link2SD official thread here for help,

In trying to install the YouTube apk on my android tablet. There's a pre loaded YouTube app on it but I think its causing a problem. Every time I try to install it it says ' there was a problem parsing the package'. Can someone help?

Do you have the logcat of what the Package Manager said?
That error is usually caused when the download isn't complete, I.e. the file is not proper...
That said, if you were sideloading the app, and you believe that you have the complete file (.apk), then you can uninstall the original app, and place the new app in system/app, give appropriate permissions and reboot...
You need root acces for the abobe, and the method in general is referred to as the root explorer method...

So I need to give it root access and then try to install the apk again but in the system app section? And to add there is this app on there called "video player" it basically functions like the Google YouTube app but not as good. But sometimes when I go to see the not-yet-installed YouTube apk on my SD card it has the "video player" icon. I don't have any problem with sideloading any other apk on there so could that be the problem?

For some reason some app doesnt work for me too, so i get problem parsing package . I used to have parsing package problem with flash player on my atrix4g then after some time i installed it and it worked good im not sure if its coz they fixed anything thro updates or it just coz i made some changes into my device i still can't download google books on it but my friend who has the same device and android version can. what im trying to say is you could try older versions of the app or if you really need it you can install custom rom , btw i can't install youtube either on my atrix i still work with an old version that came with the stock .

Generic youtube app provided by manufacturer causing OFFICIAL one to never install. *simplified*
How old is the atrix? Sounds strange if you cant even install google books. Maybe that could be a problem with the phone, not just older software.

Surely not?!
However, If that is the only answer, an explanation would be nice as a factory reset seems a little extreme don't u think?

You probably have to go into either;
- /system/app/; or
- /data/app/directory and delete the odex file that has the same name.
Example: If you cannot install Titanium Back Up. Navigate to /data/app/ and find titanium.odex. Remove it and now you can install titanium.
Hope it help :fingers-crossed:

Do factory Reset and through CWM Recovery Restore your setting and Apps from NAND Backup (if only you created one)..
ok guys - just sorted it.
i installed app2sd at some point and i think i was trying to get it to install by default to my sd card. problem is that the old tab 7.7 doesnt support installing to sd. So what was happening it was just giving me a no error message. i used Super manager 3 to default back to the device memory, rebooted and all ok now.

Dont post ques in dev section...
And you just need to do a clean install of the same rom...
I'm sorry I posted it by mistake.
But thnx for ur reply.
And let me know if i can delete my post.
And does clean install mean i have to delete dalvik cache, format system and clean data from recovery mode then fresh install the rom ??
Or just install rom once again without wiping anything ?

You can go to Colonel Zap blog to search for the rom. I believe he has a rooted firmware for the HDC branded one. If yours is the Star or Tinji brand, just search for tinji i9300 in XDA and you can find the rooted firmware for it as well.
I just got a bigger version from fastcardtech.com and they call it the HDC Galaxy note II clone. This is a really new model just released this month in September.
I just completed a review on it so you can check it out on youtube.

I hope someone can make a rooted firmware for this as well. I have to settle for stock for the time being.

Hi
I've bought one s3 clone yesterday in Singapore. No brand.
It's a 6577 dual core with 1gb ram and 2gb rom.
The screen is 1280x720 PX what is quite nice.
I've rooted it with the spark tool and it worked.
But I can't access to my sdcard. It's not mounted.
Does any one know how to use it ?
Cheers

Hey guys,
Thanks for this informative thread. I am interested in a similar phone, the Hero 9300+. Any suggestions?
P.S. that S3 clone is sexay, but too fat. Lol
This is how I rooted my S3 i9300 mtk6577 android 4.1. U can try this process for any mtk6577 device but do this with caution and at your own risk. I haven't flashed the ROM bcoz it's too risky with these Chinese clones.
*Install the MTK6577 usb drivers http://www.4shared.com/rar/0MvyztbR/usb_driver_MT65xx_Android_ZTE_.html? cau2=403tNull
*Download the rooting .rar file (v2) from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
*please note that no apps must be open or running during the process.
*Connect the phone- should have the USB-Debug option enabled in settings.
*click RunMe.bat file and selectthe "Other" (option 4)
*click Restore option on ya mobile to backup ya data and then wait for the magic.
*Mobile should reboot twice and the command prompt on ya PC shows this msg: "Successful, going to reboot your device!"
*After completion, command prompt should state if phone has been rooted and superuser n terminal emulator apps automatically installed on ya mobile*
*After rooting my phone, I didnt see the superuser.apk file and just installed the superuser app from play store. U can also use any root checker apps to confirm that ya phone is rooted.
*To delete Chinese apps and anything u don't want, I used "Root App Delete" from play store. This app shows which system files u should not delete so PS do this with caution.

Yes! I'm using the phone here in London on giffgaff ad lebara Sims. Try removing the battery and simcard for a min before placing them back. The giffgaff similar should reset to original settings. Have u also tried a giff gaff goody bag, its much cheaper. If alI fails, I think u should safely back up ya data and do a factory reset.

Download MobileGo for Android on winXp
Open the application on your PC and connect ya phone via USB. make sure USB debugging is enabled. the computer automatically searches for ya mobile phone to the last detail. It may show a diffierent make since its a clone. so no worries about that.
Then click back up and it will back up all ya contacts, sms, all downloaded and system apps. so in case u need them later, just connect ya fone and click restore. no apps must be running during the back up or restore processes.

You have posted question in wrong section. You should have posted in general section. Anyway, If you have root access you can manually paste the apk in /system/app directory and give manual permission(-rw-r-r-) for running to force install as system app.
Sometime apps will work this way.
another clickbait scum thing..
nonetheless pls be careful what u post and how u post .
