Does anyone have any experience with replacing the Power button on the phone. Mine is half sticking out and I'm wondering if I can just yank it out and put a new one in?

If it's just the plastic button probably.
If it's the actual button electronic piece... NO. It's soldered into the motherboard.
Look in YouTube for disassembly videos of the maxx/ ultra

was wondering if anyone else with the sensation has seen this.
was just using the phone on speaker phone and press volume down to turn down a bit and the button popped out of the back cover and the little clip on the button that holds in place seems like is has broken and wont stay together.

I haven't personally seen this (yet) but there is already a thread about this in here...can't recall the title but a search should easily find it
I also saw that thread about a week ago.
Get a back cover replacement from HTC. They'll make you send you back your old one, though.
yeah could not find the other post after a few searches so I started this one.
I have since called htc.
they needed a credit card on file but have a replacement back being sent out and then I send mine back to them.
For now clear tape holding the button in place now.

I made a thread on this... My volume rocker fell out.

My volume rocker annoys me lol, the bottom clicks like I want it to and the top is literally flat and have to press slightly harder for it to work.
I'm right there with ya pal. Seems kinda cheap for a piece to fall off after one month. Oh well, i got my new backplate today and hopefully it wont happen to the new one!
4 screws under feet
4 screws holding logic board in place
Nothing is attached to the top cover that you remove, so no fear of breaking anything during disassembly. Easy peasy!
Thanks for the photos, however this may have been better suited in the thread dedicated to removing the buzzer from the pad.

Could we have the next few steps (with pictures) for removing the speaker?
Thanks for the great pics. Could you give me a rough idea of the dimensions of the actual charger and pcb itself if it was completely removed from the housing? I am thinking of doing a mod based on this.

So this seems to be the whole phone minus the back for only $200:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-Google-N...310?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c6c440db6
And they're selling the back for $25 (I ordered one cause this seems like too good of a deal to pass up) here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-LG-Goog...546?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ec5f4c5a2
Could somebody theoretically buy both of these items and have a whole phone for $225, or is there a pcb missing or whats going on here? xD
It's missing the logic board

Well I guess the back is still a good deal to have just in case.

Whats up with the no flash and matte back?

The opening for the flash is there but the flash itself is built into the phone... I'm not quite sure what's up with the matte back, if you look towards the bottom you can see some of the sparkly circles... I'm guessing its either a plastic protector or just a bad photo... I'll post pictures when mine arrives.

I think if my phone screen breaks I'm just going to order an 8gb model from the Google store for parts. That'll get me everything but a 16gb logic board for 299 - screen, digitizer, camera, battery, back cover, flash, vibration motor, everything.

From the images, it's also missing the antennae, speaker and radio, dual mics, headphone jack and proximity sensor, volume/power buttons, plastic shielding, USB connector, and screws to hold everything together.
So I just got a pack of 3 in and I installed it, with the tape and such...
Anyways there's an arrow where the adhesive seems to be do I remove that or something? I didn't and it seems to be kinda wobbly since the adhesive doesn't cover the whole home button makes it a little uneven... not that bad but I was just wondering if it was just me or is that how it is

Are you referring to the aluminum home button or the jelly bean home button?

The aluminum ones
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2
I got these and love them! I have the red one on right now, but I don't remember if the arrow comes off... There definitely is adhesive on the back of the aluminum button, so additional adhesive is unnecessary. Here is a pic, taken with my fiance's RAZR M, so it's not S4 quality, lol.
I've got these buttons and love them but my black one of already losing some push it's stickiness. I keep having to push it back into position

I have one too but how would one take it off? I wanted to change colours but having a bit if trouble trying to remove it

Where can I get these button stickers alone(w. No case)? Any stores have them?
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda premium
Comes with some removal plastic thing. Works good for removal. And my black one is a little loose too it like moves around if I out my thumb on it squeaks a little

I've got the generic aluminium buttons off ebay and they work great, also, they are really cheap.
What's the point of this?? I don't get it....
is it just to change the color or is there a "functional" use for it?

I can't comment on the aluminum buttons, but I need the raised home button for ease of access. With the screen protector and the fact that the raised lip of my case is so close to the home button, it's too recessed for easy pressing.
The raised button solves all that.

Does your N5 rattle when you shake it (next to your ear)
Yes, lots of people have reported this. It's caused by the buttons and/or the focusing mechanism in the camera. I don't consider it a defect. My solution is to not shake my N5 next to my ear.

i think its the power and volume buttons, therefore im getting a case which will hold the buttons in place and keep them from rattling.

yup... power button. I'm cool with it tho
I don't really think its bad or anything. I noticed my buttons rattled a bit too, but as long as I know what it is and it's not broken then I don't really mind. It doesn't rattle with normal use, so why would it be a problem?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
The problem is not you hearing it when you shake it. Try to tap the screen around the power button. How many of you hearing it button rattle? Its not camera.
I tend not to shake my electronic devices. Lol

When i shake my phone the power button rattles. When i hold the button tight then something else inside the phone rattles (more quietly than the power button).
Must be the stabilizer of the camera. And that for once IS a feature, not a bug.
