Install instructions: Only for international N9005
If you are on Jelly Bean (4.3):
Must flash the KitKat bootloader first!
The easiest way is ODIN v3.07 download stock 4.4.2 firmware from sammobile.com and flash it.
If you are already on Kitkat (4.4.2):
Root your phone with CF-Auto-Root
Flash Chenglu's CWM recovery
Go to CWM recovery (press and hold Home+Volume up+Power button)
If you want backup your current Rom.
Start the installation
Wipe method can be selected in the included Aroma installer, so wipe in recovery not needed.
Select what you want to install
Start the install
If the installer finished reboot
Attention with the method above no more warranty (KNOX will be changed to 0x1)

Just as info for those, who want's to use the f2fs file system:
Recommended: TWRP 2.8.x.x & an custom kernel with f2fs file system support !
1.) Backup your internal SD Card! Attention internal SD Card will be fomatted by moving from ext4 to f2fs!!
2.) Copy the Rom zip to external SD Card!
3.) Download and install TWRP recovery.
4.) Boot to recovery mode
5.) Press Wipe - Advanced Wipe - Select System - Repair or Change File System - Change File System
6.) Do the same for Data & Cache
7.) Back to TWRP home screen
8.) Install - Select the Rom zip
9.) At the first selection screen in the Aroma installer select: Custom file system mode
10.) At the next screen select Lean kernel for f2fs support.
After that the install process is back to normal.

The Rom includes lot of changes, so I recommend to use "wipe data/factory reset"
from recovery before installing the Rom. Clean install recommended. "Partial wipe"
Please don't restore old backups, first try the Rom.
Instead external backup apps use the built in Google backup.
It's perfect! All apps & settings will be restored after a clean install.

@ PIN unlock not working SD unmounts:
Flash N9005XXUFNF2 modem or higher with ODIN. Safety first! Use the original Note 3 USB cable!
- Before flashing turn off the phone.
- Take out the battery.
- Wait 5 sec. So long start Odin.
- Put the battery back.
- Boot directly to download mode. (Press and hold Volume down + Power + Home button)
- Connect the USB cable to your Phone.
- Select the downloaded modem. (CP)
- Flash the selected modem.

If I finished the OP you will see what can be selected in Aroma. (there are some basic changes)
There are no themes only stock (TW 2013 UI)

In the next 5 minutes...
For root users:
Don't need to wipe in recovery!
Wipe settings are included in the Aroma installer.
Full Wipe (only for clean install, because formats the internal SD card)
Partial wipe (recommended for first install)
Easy Wipe (for future use If you want to re select the apps without data loss)
EFS backup as you want
Kernel:
with update mode you can keep your current kernel
Dpi can be selected in the Aroma installer.
At the first install don't use update mode except the kernel selection.
Aroma installer getting sometimes crazy at the end of the install, wait 5 sec, than reboot.
Install log will not be saved with auto reboot.

Because including all the changes in the Rom takes long time and I can't work on it all day long.
Including all changes needs about one month for me and every week comes a new firmware..
So if I try to keep my Rom updated, than never will be released, because can't finish it.
Until 4.4.3 I'll stay on ND5.
It's OK for me.

Thankyou so much for this rom :laugh:, its my daily driver every other thing works but the gps navigation doesn't work, it keeps on losing signal and never gets a solid signal :crying:, any help would be greatly appreciated as I use the gps navigation on my phone almost everyday

Sorry I can't help you because mine works well.
There are some threads with the same problem, but I never had problem with the GPS.
Nobody knows exactly why:
- Someone changed his sim card (with an newer version)
- Someone tightened the screws on the back
- Someone installed X-Note
- Someone used the Gps fix
Maybe one of them could help you.
I can't search the problem if it works.

You can access this by Setting-device-DrKetan ROM Extra OR from App drawer. This utility requires plug in called Secure setting. It should auto install while flashing ROM. you should check in app drawer, if it is missing then you should download from play store.(you can find it here in post #5 too.)
This application is built-in Dr.Ketan's Custom ROM. This application divided in four menu. Also note that you needs to install plug-in to work this app. On opening of app it will direct to play store to install plug in if your device lacking it.
1.Toggles - As name suggest here in this menu you will have many Toggles which you can use to activate/Deactivate services.
Single tap on icon to activate, Long click on icon to deactivate
Incoming Call Record - This will record all incoming calls. File will be saved in IntSD/Sounds/ folder. (If you dont have this folder then manually create it.)
Outgoing Call Record - This will record all Outgoing calls. File will be saved in IntSD/Sounds/ folder. (If you dont have this folder then manually create it.)

-Option to select 240 and stock DPI (If you don't select while flashing ROM it will flash stock DPI). While flashing ROM needs to select only you needs 240DPI. Also there is option to return to stock DPI without flashing ROM
PS : When you change DPI without clean install, you needs to clear data for launcher (TouchWiz) and accuweather.
Only S5 launcher added support for MultiDPI
Not all applications support multi DPI, You needs to set 320DPI with App setting for phone,contacts,keyboard etc.

Things you should know about this ROM before flashing.
As I have said earlier, I am no more about to give support here on Note2, I request all the users to go through user guide before flashing ROM. Apart from user guide I am mentioning here few things which is commonly asked by users who flashes ROM without reading anything.
-Download and read DrKetan ROM V8 Flashing guide.
-This ROM you can use as multiTool too. Like if you want to make any change in mod selection you can use ROM to reset without flashing ROM too. Like if you have selected Rt side Internet meter and later you realize you need to remove OR change, you can re run aroma and skip everything except required task. Also to mention that whenever you mess up with SystemUI themes, simply you can select Restore 30 battery mod, that will remove all existing SystemUI related mods. you have to reselect all the option in SystemUI mod along with restore 30 battery mode.
-30 battery module, you have to tap battery symbol three time fast on status bar to get option to change style. Also note that don't use battery percent option from setting but use above said trick to show battery percentage.(Tapping three times give two menu, one for charging animation and battery percent and other for battery style). If you are using any OG battery mod, simply replace OGBatteryMOD.apk in system/app. Don't replace SystemUI otherwise it will messup many mods.
-Selecting FullSreen Caller ID mod in aroma you will lose S5 popup features, as Fullscreen mod is based on Note3 base.
-Stock battery module option available in aroma is not compatible with any other SystemUI mod like internet meter/Quick launch/8 extra toggles etc.
-Note3 features : You can find Air command option in setting - My Device - S Pen - Air Command. Also Smart Scroll and Smart Pause will be there just below Air command. Also Smart scroll and Pause you can ON from Quick panel Toggles.
Just to note that smart scroll have two option -scroll with head position and scroll with device position (you can press smart scroll tect menu in setting to get option OR you can do it by long pressing from quick panel) Keep in mind that both features requires to have Smart stay 'ON' and also needed to be in good light.
-PageBuddy will open when you remove Pen on Stock Launcher. If you want to use on S5 Launcher (default launcher) you have to select from Spen recommended short cut in notification bar.
Utility - I have mentioned features in post 1 already. You can open utility from setting-My devoice-DrKetan ROM Extra-Utilities OR Simply from App drawer. Utility requires plug in (Secure settings) to work properly and Flashing ROM itself will flash it. Just confirm from app drawer and if you don't find in app drawer, Open utility and it will link to play store. Also you can find apk for off line installation from post #5
When device will boot first time (probably while you finishing setup wizard) Utility will ask for SuperSU permission, you must grant it. and this will fix some SD card and data issue of kitkat base. Still there is option to do it manually if you needed anytime.
- Once Utility ask for SuperSu permission on first boot, grant superSU permission then finish your setup wizard and reboot device before installing/Restoring anything.
-Settings UI - You will find two Settings icon, these are just two shortcut not two apk. one is regular and other is S5 style. Simply you can hide unwanted from launcher - menu -hide pp.
-PullUp Mods - You can change desired app selection from Utilities-ROM extra-PullUp chooser. If you want to have default s Finder, you have to select My Sfinder app in pullup selection.
-Bootloader: If you don't know about existing bootloader, Download Info app from play store. If you are on MJ5 or newer you need not to flash it. who are coming from 4.1.2 have to flash either Wifi Fix (from post#3) OR Kitkat Bootloader (from post #5), later will void warranty. If you are unable to charge device while it is OFF (Device reboots) it is due to you doesn't have kitkat bootloader. to fix it you needs to flash kitkat BL (get from post#5) but this will voids your warranty.

Important Instruction - Don't flash any addional fix/Add On along with Aroma in one go. Only flash ROM - reboot device and then flash whatever you needs other than not included in aroma.
Dr.Ketan Utility patches some files on first boot (that's why it asking SuperSu permission on first boot if you have clean install) So it's recommended to finish it before you flash anything extra.
-In V14 Setting - about device it still shows V13 - just cosmetic issue and ignore it.
-Wifi and Reboot fix - Download, extract and flash using Odin for PDA tab (Requires If your bootloader is older)

Toggle issue
-Remove lockscreen weather widget in 240DPI (like this image) - use app setting xposed module and set com.sec.android.app.keyguard to 480DPI OR If you don't need widget at all, you can delete keyguardSplannerWidget.apk
-If you can't see battery percentage - Disable 'show battery percentage' option from setting-display and from setting-general-battery
Tap battery icon three times and select to show battery percentage from there. Also you can change battery Icon same way by tapping battery icon three times.
-Change battery icon ON OG battery mod by tapping three times on battery icon OR from utility - ROM, For 3minit mod you will have separate apk in app drawer

Installation guide for Newbies.
1.Download DrKetan's Custom ROM (see at end of this post)and copy downloaded file to Sd card (Preferable Int SD)
2.You needs CWM. I recommend Philz recovery. (If you don't know how to get it, look my signature for MultiTool and read post#1 for detail guide about how to flash CWM)
3.Reboot device to recovery (Vol up+Home+power)
4 - from recovery Select wipe data and in next menu select second option (wipe for flashing new rom)
5.Select intall zip and select file you have copied.
6.This will start Aroma, and after agreement and index you will find main Menu, You have to select Proceed with ROM flasher and MultiTool(see image below)
Just below this there is a tool, Aroma file manager. You can use this tool when you are unable to boot device and want to move files. No need to use it in ROM flashing.
7.Now main utility will start and you will see below mentione screen
A.First screen you will get EFS backup - select if you want to make EFS backup. It will store to sdcard/MyEFS
B.Flash ROM - To flash ROM you have to select This option
C.Recovery - If you want to flash TWRP/Stock/Philz Recovery select according If you want to change, otherwise it will keep existing recovery
D.Modem - SKIP this (later on you can use this utility to change modem. Right now no other working modem available)
E.Kernel - SKIP This (later on you can use this tool to flash custom kernel)
F.Backup and Mass Bloat remover
If you want to make backup of bloatware and want to mass remove bloatware select customize backup and bloatware OTHERWISE SKIP. You can use this tool to make backup of system/app and system/framework folder later on)
G.Restore - You want to restore anything you have made backup with this tool you can use this tool, SKIP on first use.
H.Odex - SKIP it for This ROM, later anytime you are using odex and want to remove it, you can use this utility
I.Customise Bloatware remover
If you want to remove selectable bloatware then select customized bloatware remover, otherwise SKIP it.
I.Mods
If you want to install Mods you can select customised Mods and select which mods you needs, otherwise Skip it.
J.CSC Features
If you want to install CSC features, select customized CSC features and select which features You needs
Avoid Trigger and workaround option first time
If you don't want to add CSC features, Skip it.
K.Tweaks
If you want to install build prop tweaks, select customized tweak and select needed tweaks, otherwise Skip
L.LockScreen security bypass - Incase you forget lockscreen password/Pattern/PIN you can use this tool
M.Push System App - You can use this tool to install any system app, you have to make 'app' folder OR 'framework' folder on SD card and have to file according their location in system. This is only tool and not to select for ROM flashing
N.GPS - Select your continent for better GPS fix.
8. Proceed with installtion and when you see finished Keep patience it may take 5min to 15min depending on option you have choose, you can click next to move back to recovery
9.Once in recovery select reboot system Now.
And sorry newbies, you have to read a lot to flash this ROM, but this is the best way to have features you want.
Personally I don't believe much in benchmark as far as I am feeling it smooth, but for your reference attaching screenshot.

Installation Instructions
-Flash Philz 6.26 recovery If you have stock recovery then download tar.md5 version and flash with Odin OR if you have CWM/TWRP installed then download zip version and flash from recovery.
-download and copy Rom zip to sdcard-reboot to recovery and wipe data (factory reset}
-select install zip and navigate to ROM file you have copied to sd card
-Now Philz recovery will start calculating md5, wait till it finish calculating and once finish check md5 is matching with posted above. If it doesn't match then re download ROM.
-Once md5 match confirm to install zip
-Now when Installation finish device will reboot and may take 5-10 min to boot.
-Once device boot normally open Dr.Ketan Utilities N7100 from app drawer. This will ask to download plugin and direct you to playstore link. If you want to install offline then download plugin from here and install as regular apk.
-Once You open utility, you will find option 'Data bug fix - recommend to All' (see above screenshot, i have made box on option) just long press icon rt side to this oiption, once it fixed you will get msg. Now reboot device and your device is fixed for Titanium backup restore as well read /write error of int Sd card (you needs it once only after flashing ROM) Even after if you get such error there is two extra option just below that 1.data fix- for titanium resore error 2.Int sd fix - for read/write error in Int/Ext SD. you can use anytime these options.
-Now you can restore device and modify as per your wish.
Bootloader If you have MJ5 or later bootloader then no need otherwise you have to apply Reboot and wifi Fix from post #3 above
You can get idea about current bootloader with info application
If You are not worried about warranty then I strongly recommend to flash Kitkat bootloader.
Here is Kitkat bootloader from N7100_ND3 [/URL]- Flash it with Odin for bootloader tab
Some times even successfull passed from Odin, bootloader can't update in that case you may needs to flash stock recovery first.Here is stock recovery from N7100_kitkat_ND3,[/URL] flash it with PDA (AP in new odin) tab. reboot device and then again flash bootloader. Once bootloader successfully get updated you can reflash CWM/TWRP whatever you are using.

Install Instruction
- first of all backup all your data from internal SD card, 4.3 has different structure tree!!!
- if you go from 4.1.2 or older or other I recommend format internal card, if you don't do it, on internal card were by me still data (DCIM etc...) and you can't normal access them on 4.3, but even without formatting you can later move them from old folder to new one in 4.3 with Aroma file manager , for me easer way without format. Also is possible, that date will move automatically - also me happened
- bee sure, that you have EFS backup!!!
- create NanDroid backup to external card!!!
- download the *.zip file to external card!
- download to Recovery
- ROM isn't full wipe, but is recommended if you get from 4.1.2 and older
- wipe cache and Dalvik cache is automatically included
- select ZIP file from external card and install
- in menu of installer you choose only what you understand. there isn't nothing important for system stability - is only what we importantly don't need (bloatware)
- don’t use re-root after installation inside recovery - you don’t need it, if you'll do, then you need install again SU apk from market
- reboot and wait and wait ...
- enjoy it
Kernels: if you ever before flashed official Rom 4.3 via Odin you have New Bootloader and you should to use AGNi Kernel or Boeffla SELinux Permissive.
Stock kernel is there only for users who have problem with camera or for users on New Bootloader if wants it use without S5 theme (doesn't work Wifi with S5 theme)
Xposed: if you use Wanam Xposed, after install Rom reactivate Xposed Framework installer.
If you new installed Xposed, open Xposed installer and go to menu "Framework" and choice "Install", then reboot your phone, then open Wanam Xposed apk and activate module Wanam Xposed and next Xposed moduls in Xposed installer (menu "Modules"), reboot . That's all, open Wanam Xposed and set, set, set .....enjoy it.
Wanam Xposed apk - read this only until v6.10, in v6.11 is this solved: with last version is problem keeping our CSC feature and when you e.g. set Disable Airplane toggle mode or Bluetooth, then is after reboot problem with popup toggle of data and is lost possibility use only GSM.
Solution:
1. for right using and working of Wanam Xposed you have to go to the menu "Advanced" and there unselect "Keep my extra CSC features" than set what you want or leave your setting and reboot - no more problems with popup of data and other setting in in the future.... but, but you'll lose CSC features of our Rom ....that's a pity and better is use 2nd method
2. or set in Wanam what you need, reboot, mount system rw (for example in ES explorer/tools/tap on Root explorer/mount R/W then set system RW), go to system/csc/ delete feature.xml and rename feature.xmlbak to feature.xml, reboot - this step is what I use
S5 Launchers: Widget is possible add from desktop editing ...hit the Text "Widgets" (not icons). If you use My Magazine for full correct working install Flipboard apk from market. Wallpaper is possible change only in Settings/My device/Wallpaper
if you encounter FC while changing wallpaper (not live wallpapers) download and flash this SecWallpaperPicker, thanks @sunajkram23 . Grid 5x6 is only by Alphabetic order.
S5 Pro Launchers: if some icons appears on the dock after flashing ...just drag in the Homescreen.
The NewPure Audio Mod: with this perfect Mod is the best for using recommended Smart Player. Sound quality between paid and free version (included in the installer) seems isn't any (in my opinion and experience). Paid version provides more option and tweaks, for comfortable using I strongly recommend it. Smart Player hasn't graphic equaliser! There is really perfect built-in PureEQ equaliser set up to 3-5-5-3-8. If you want use compatible graphic equaliser use this DSP Manager (download and flash - is tested). DSP manager is supported in Smart Player and quality of sound isn't at all disappeared , or you can use also this ViPER4Android FX, but with this apk you lost setting of PureEQ (sound will be worse), but you can there set up again it on 3-5-5-3-8 (all 2x there) and the sound of PureEQ is again back and great .
If you don't want use paid version of Smart Player next possibility is use Google Play Music, there seems is sound quiet the same, but I don't recommend it to use with graphic equaliser Music FX (quality lost) and instead you should again flash DSP Manger from above or use ViPER4Android and in the Setting/My device/Sound set up ViPER4Android as default.
Also is possible only use some graphic equalisers from Market but they aren't supported directly from both Apks
Worst variant is use Stock Player, there is biggest loss quality of sound.
PS. if will be next version of the Rom I'll maybe include there DSP Manager or V4A apk
Camera: if you have problem with Camera follow part "Notes"
Boot Sound: if you want activate boot sound, rename in system/media/audio/ui/PowerOn.ogg.bakkkk to PowerOn.ogg

Notes
If your camera doesn't work primary follow this (thanks @Hbohd and @P$T), if you don't have incriminated file flash again Rom with Stock kernel - Wifi doesn't work with old bootloader, then take photo and short video, then flash again Rom without full wipe with kernel which you like. If your camera still doesn't work follow THIS or flash some Rom 4.1.2 (via Recovery or Odin) take picture, grab and backup incriminated files, then flash this Rom and put them to data/cwm. Don't forget backup your SlimISP_XX.bin for future. Problem with camera have average only cca 10 users JB 4.3 of 1000 usr..

- Problem between Fly-On mod and Boeffla config apk SOLVED, we can now have again both without any problem,
mainly no more problem with loss of profiles setting in Boeffla Config after rebooting
- Boeffla confing apk is again installed with Boeffla kernel
- added option in Add-Ons (last item there - don't forget scroll down), there you can choose if you want install PhilZ Touch CWM Advanced Edition or Not, defaultly isn't now selected.
I've never tested flash Rom on different CWM then with PhilZ, but with this Aroma Installer it should be OK, please put here report (I haven't time try it), thank you.

Which recovery should we use to install? I have TWRP is this OK?
I think OK, but after install this Rom you'll get last PhilZ Touch CWM Advanced Edition.
I have flashed 2.0 and im testing it , just little concerns is that the aroma installer has many options and some on the are not quit clear, also wanam module is not updated to 2.6.5 so can you do so also for the angi kernel when ever chosen it gives failure to reset under the device momery, also what is the possibility to set the keyboard to be as note keyboard

In the last v2.02 is a little less options and something better explained, for next version I plan i to do a little more reduction package with SystemApps. In the option of installer you can choose only what you understand. In option isn't nothing important for system stability - is only what we importantly don't need (bloatware)
Last update of Wanam will be in the next version - i forgot it. Now you can update via Google play
I don't use primary AGNi , but when i tried, absolutely no problem. Kernel is only taken an put to installer (nothing changed). Try ask in AGNi thread.
Note keyboard maybe in next vesion, I don't use it

Oh I also forgot to mention that my files is not shown in apps so would u add it, and about the note keyboard its the same as samsungg keyboard and the only different is the numbers shown at the top row, so please add it
In v2.02 is quite down, yes keyboard I'll add to next version.
Now i can it port to our i9305, please find the link in section for i9300 and send me link, in the evening (I'm out of home) I'll create flashable file for us.
Edit : v2.02 you can install of course without full wipe, you will not lose your data.
Edit2: and if I good remember, in previous version was also "My files" in option "SystemApps" quite down, hope older version I already deleted from PC. Maybe you only remembered it select.

Good rom overall. I only missed note 3 keyboard, but flashed separately and works fine.
I have only one small problem with market. Not all icons has been loading for me. I don't know that is gapps related problem or rom problem.
How I see, must bee added to next version - no problem
By me is market OK. Try restart phone, logout from Google account an again login, maybe it will want probably again agreement. Also try it with default browser. From rom isn't deleted nothing important. Also try connect between Wifi and Data. No more Idea by me.

Problem was related with too agressive hosts file. I deleted them and now all works fine
Thank you man for solving's report! I'll edit in the next version.
Is there any possibility to have a choice to shoose yank kernel as well while using aroma installer for you next update, also the wallpaper make it by default to be the new note screen as it would add a value for ur rom and not only the standerd wallpaper

The yank kernel isn't officially available, at least what I know. If do you to much want, I can to you provide my private link per PM for yank kernel, but if he alone doesn't want to publish it, I also don't want include to Rom.
I primary prefer ported Boeffla from @Hbohd and his team btw. @P$T .....we must him THX! He was first which ported and provide for us custom kernel for JB 4.3.
And to the Wallpapers, I mean, that's very personal matter. Isn't easier way use for example apk Zedge from Google Play ? There is a very large selection. Or also is possible find some good in i9300 threads.

Some tips to save battery life (Thanks wanam):
1) Disable auto sync for accounts if you don't need them. Syncing kills!!
2) Disable GPS and enable it only when you want to use it.
3) Disable auto backup for Gmail account.
4) Set brightness level to automatic.
5) Disable motion if you don't use it from developer options in settings.
6) Check your apps settings and disable useless background sync
7) Use autoStart app or Startup manager to disable un-needed app from automatic startup on boot. It will also make the startup time faster.
8) If you are facing battery juicing, use better battery stats app to find out what application preventing your phone from getting to deep sleep and find out the different types of wake locks.
9) Remove apps you don't use.
10) Enable "Power Saving Mode" from Settings
11) Use "Deep Sleep Batter Saver pro" app from the play store and set the mode to "aggressive", or use "Battery Doctor" app to extend battery life

How-to Install:
You can do this procedure any time and it won't wipe anything from your device! You will keep your current ROM, Kernel & Recovery after flashing this.
Do exactly step-by-step the following things:
- Unplug your Phone*(IMPORTANT!)
- Turn your Phone completely off*(This is IMPORTANT)
- Start your Phone in download mode on this way:*Press Vol down + Home + Power buttonstill the screen turns on, press Vol Up to continue (Only enter download mode on this way, otherwise it won't work!!)[/B]
- Open*Odin 3.10.6*on your PC (Make sure you're using this version of Odin, other versions won't work correctly maybe!)
- Click on the*'BL'*button, and load in yourBOOTLOADER*tar.md5 file for your model
- Click on the*'CP'*button, and load in yourMODEM*tar.md5 file for your model
- DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE (you can brick your phone if you choose other settings in Odin)
- Now Connect your phone to your computer(DO NOT connect your phone before this step, otherwise it won't work!)
- Click on the Start button
- Wait till it finish flashing.
- Your phone reboots automatically after flashing.
- Always check after flashing: Settings -> About device -> Baseband; that should show the same modem build number noted as here.*
And also check if the bootloader got flashed correctly by downloading an*AndroidTerminal app, and enter this command: getprop ro.boot.bootloader
If you have both in one file flash as AP in odin
Download Modem and Bootloader
NOTE: Sometimes the modem/baseband needs to be flashed 2 or even 3 times till it will get flashed correctly.*
Q&A
1. If i want to change from Alliance Framework to Xposed Framework must i deinstall the Alliance Framework first?
Yes if you jump between Frameworks you must first uninstall the Framework with my aroma installer and after restart you are on samsung framework. After that run aroma installer again and choose new framework
2. If i run the aroma installer a second or third time i must choose same options?
No you can choose every time you run aroma installer your oprions like you want. All what you didnt want to change let the choose on "no changes" and all is like the install on last aroma run

ok i downloded again, push to phone and it works. i think you have a download problem. please redownload
but before choose in twrp that the recovery didnt check md5 file. i think thats the problem. if not redownload
now problem solved .. ur zip file need extraction will give another zip file-- not directly installed as usual other roms..

i cant believe. if you download my zip file you can directly install. if you extract my zip file you get all files from rom. my uploaded file is not a zip in a zip. i have checked that.
ur downloaded file is CRISSCROSS_ROM.zip and after extraction-- CRISSCROSS_ROM_V1.zip inside a folder .. that is what happened to me and after that installation succeeded.. may be wrong download method from me --from mega site -- whatever thanks for ur rom and i'll inform u about it after testing ..

this is due to changes in mega site you have to rt click on zip file and chose download - then start download -- not as before -- don't chose download as zip file..

In this moment not so much. I integratet his fixes and make in the aroma much more options. Everything you can remove or install how often you want. Also i added some things. I will add more in next version. My goal is it to have a good working base rom and add a lot of options for rom in aroma. I build it like i want. Rom side is to 90% at crash. He have no time to work together so he give me permission to do with his rom what i want. Thx crash again my friend

I know it's really early to ask this question as you just released the V1 but just an estimation on how long will it take for the V2 to come and will it be based on the latest firmware? Because then I'll stick with the latest stock rom for now. Really hoping to see a lot from this Rom! Thank you so much! <3

Do not update SVoice to the latest .115 update. It uses S7 location sensor and won't work. The SVoice in the ROM is perfect.
Do not update any of Camera modes from the Galaxy Store because it will give you FC to camera due to S7 camera modules.
If you want to fix Youtube 1080P 60FPS lag, you have to change your device model from SM-G935F to SM-G903F. If you do that, you will lose the option to download S7 theme or update S7 apps & Edge apps.

This is a G900F ported rom for the verizon S5 and i in no way developed, all that credit goes to Tamirda for the PhoeniX ROM as he definetely deserves it for the hard work he put in creating it! Also the patch is from JrKruse but with some files deleted out of the original to work specifically for this ROM>
Directions:
-You must be on marshmallow PD1 or PF4 firmware, baseband, and bootloader or you will brick your device

Is there any way to control the audio focus? I couldn't find anything in the ROM or in the other V12 thread for this ROM. I'm trying to disable it for Pokemon Go. So annoying...

Hmm... I guess it's a permission thing where switching to an app "focuses" the audio to that app instead of whatever apps are currently playing audio. So in Pokemon Go's case, it pauses all music as soon as you switch back to the app. Very irritating.
Apparently there are some music players that have some kind of audio focus override built-in, but I'm using Spotify, which doesn't. On CM-based builds, there is a setting in Privacy -> Privacy Guard -> Advanced -> Media -> Pokemon Go, and you have the option to untick "Audio Focus".
Pre flashing checklist
Hi all,
This looks like a great ROM to try!
Just want to make sure I have got this all straight before I flash.
I have a SM-900V, PB1 Baseband running CM13.0 snapshot and TWRP 3.0.2-2-klte installed.
Questions:
1. Looks like I need to downgrade TWRP to 3.0 or less
2. I need to find G900VVRU2DPF4_BL_G900VVRU2DPF4_MODEM_LTE.tar and flash with TWRP or Odin depending on what style file I find?
3. Then in TWRP – install
a. Phoenix rom
b. Jrkruse_modified_ROM_patch
c. And my Update.zip from Titanium Backup.4. I am no longer with VZW and using this phone on GSM only. Do I need to install the Jrkruse_modified_ROM_patch? Not sure if the patch is just to setup the vzw radios?Anyway – if you can help me with a link to the PF4 file and any other tips or mistakes I am making I would appreciate it!

No, you have to also be on a mm bootloader, pd1,pf4, or pg2. here is a link to update to pf4 bootloader. If your phone is a 900v then yes you would have to flash the way instructions are set to get it running on your phone, you may just have to set your apn's manually. Let me know when you've upgraded to pf4 bootloader and I can help you further. @wantpizza

I am not going to fiddle any more tonight. But I have downloaded the BF4 bootloader and rom. It is .zip file = so it is a TWRP flashing file. I have no problem setting my APN's manually.
Good question is - do I have to downgrade TWRP to 3.0 to flash the Phoenix zips?
Anyway - thanks again for your help and I will plug along and report back.

To flash Phoenix zips yes you must downgrade to 3.0.0-0 because its aroma installer, i would even suggest using philz custom recovery but only if it doesnt flash correctly with 3.0 twrp the first time. Reason being 3.0.2 twrp doesnt do aroma installers correctly. Also be sure to follow the instructions on updating your bootloader to mm as it must say Samsung official on your download screen before you can flash bootloaders.

So I ended up installing this ROM (v14.0) after doing a full wipe and am having an interesting issue - I can't seem to send any text messages. I can receive messages all day long, but always get a failure sending them. Here are some things I tried to do to fix the issue but with no avail:
- Clearing cache
- ROM reinstall (+another complete data wipe)
- Using different apps (default message app, signal, and verizon messages all get the same error)
- Modifying the selected APN (VZWINTERNET) to include an MMSC that points to http: //mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms and APN type to include mms
- Upgrading Phoenix ROM to 14.2 (from the original thread). It works fine, except again, not sending text messages.
The only other thing I can think of is I'm currently on the PD1 bootloader. I could try upgrading to PF4, but before I do, is there anything else that I might be missing that I could try? Not sure how much effect upgrading the bootloader would have.
EDIT: Updated bootloader to PG2 and still have the same issue. Also, when I roll back to 12.0, texts begin to work again.

Are you using Verizon service? Are you flashing the patch directly after flashing rom, in the same sequence?

Yes, I'm on Verizon in the US. I have tried flashing it three ways now in TWRP (3.0.0) using Phoenix 14.0:
- ROM only
- ROM, then reboot, then JrKruse international patch
- ROM and JrKruse international patch in sequence before reboot
Still a problem sending text messages. I've switched over to the stock PG2 ROM for now which is working for me.

Depends, some it does, some it doesn't. You would just have to flash and see yourself.
