Does anybody have the lightflow app working on the N5?
I received my phone yesterday and have seen the led work but could not find any place to change settings for the LED (for which app it works, which color etc)
I installed lightflow but when I received an e-mail nothing worked ??

Lightflow works great with me here on my Nexus 5!
Running Kangkat rom and a faux kernel.
What are you lightflow settings looking like?
Seemingly working ok for me so far (stock rooted)
Also have a look here to test: http://www.folioflow.com/ff/page/website/lightflow/pageId/2349
Then you'll need to dive into the app settings to change specific app colours etc.
I myself can't get all of the listed colours working, but yet to go through all the testing to see just how many colours I can use.
The dev is very active with updates etc, so anything not working let him know.
Guys,
Has anyone been having problems with WhatsApp LED notifications not working randomly?
Mine has been doing this for a few days now. If I get a WhatsApp message I'm supposed to get a purple or green LED notification. But for the last few days sometimes I get it and sometimes I don't.
I haven't changed or added apps or anything!!

I found that a reboot solves the problem for a bit. But then it just fails again!
I think you should be able to fix it by using an app called lightflow or something. Why not use a custom rom and set the LED notification there?

Thanks for suggestion. But I'm running gravity box which is absolutely amazing. So don't want to get rid of it for a custom ROM.
I used light flow some time ago and was excellent. But again with GB no need for it.
Has anyone been able to get Light Flow to work on the OnePlus One? I like light flow a lot better than the CM notification center, but I just can't seem to get it to work.
Has anyone here getten it to work? If so, mind sharing your settings?
So far I've had one person say it worked and two not!
Can you try and see if led color tester by coolbeans works on the phone (with lightflow either not installed or disabled) and let me know if that works?
I'm interested in this as well. I enjoy Lightflow so much more than any of the other notification apps I've tried. I'll be heartbroken if it doesn't work...
i used lightflow with paranoid android and it works fine on my oneplus one chinese version

Hello. I'm a big fan of your work (been using on the N4 and N5).
I also have this app on my OnePlus One. I noticed that up until the most recent build that all my notifications were working. Gmail and stuff were all fine.
Is it me or did the latest build change something? When notifications come in I get a white light blinking. When I power my screen on and off again it seems like Light Flow then registers, and now I get green pulses.
I'm not sure if its the most recent build of Light Flow or if its because I added a second Gmail account). I am rooted so I'm on root mode, but maybe some of my settings are whacked?

Yep, have the same "issue". Before the last Update everything was fine..
No Light Flow issues here.
Just got my OnePlus One today. Installed, restored the app generated backup from my S4, good to go.
Some apps need to have their own LED setting disabled for LF to work properly since the last version.

I'm aware of this for some users and I've just pushed out an update (it should show in the play store over the next few hours) I've had a few people testing who had that issue and reports so far seem to be that it fixes that issue.

Just got my OPO today and Light Flow is working great. Just restored my backup from my Nexus 4 and no probs. Love the new UI too!

You sir are a hero. It no longer requires me to use Gravity Box UNC to override settings.
Question: Do you recommend for high end phones like the N5 and OPO to run in foreground or background? I see no issues with background on my OPO and the app doesn't get killed at all.
Second question: You're still going to roll out global settings someday right? Having to change speeds for every app is a bit annoying, or even custom blink settings.
Final question: Is it possible to adjust the brightness for the LED? I see a brightness option in the sleep options for night blinking, but adjustments for individual notifications? Would be nice to have global for this too

On the N5 I find it does work better with the option on, without it once every few days maybe it'll get killed off by android (which is fairly normal for any background service) so it'll miss a notification.

Yes that's still on the list. If google hadn't brought out android L I'd have been working on that, but I've had to divert my time to issues with that!

There's a global option for this (in lightflow, settings, general settings, led brightness), but not individual, you'd just have to use the custom color option at the moment.
Lightflow works for me.
I can't get LF working, or if it does work it just flashes white. I'm 100% stock/unrooted so is there anything else I need to activate to get it working? I had no issues with my previous Nexus 4/5 so it must be something silly!
EDIT: Reinstalled and seems to be working OK now, so obviously something I did wrong!
Thanks for the help @andrewpmoore
Is it possible to have the lights on even when the screen on? Is that the "Samsung direct mode?" I don't believe that worked on my other non Samsung devices, so I doubt it will work on the OPO.
I ask because CM's battery LED seems to by default remain on even when the screen is on or off.

Correction! There seems to be a small glitch: At the end of Charging when switching to Charged it seems to start switching between Charging and Charged rather than just using the Charged notification.
I've a fix coming for switching between charged and charging.
What 'Device Settings' is everyone running to make this work? Is anyone using:
Direct Mode?
Samsung root mode?
Reset color before change?
Nexus 5 force LED reset?
For some reason mine works for a period of time than I start getting SMS's and it stops working. I restart the app, but it doesn't continue to work again. Not sure what's going on.

The glitch seems to have exploded... nothing seems to be working now... not mail, not sms ... nothing. Tried to enable the root option but it makes no difference

The Nexus 5 thing is the only box I have checked (must've been by default since I didn't do it).

Not having any issues... maybe backup your notification settings and then wipe and restore them. Ensure LF has the proper notifications access, etc.

Nope. Nothing. Tried to clear the cache and data. Tested the notifications and nothing... Checked Notification access and tried enabling root mode. Still nothing... Phone is stock though rooted.
I am not receiving notifications for Allo or Google messages. Have tried everything I've seen online. Anyone have these working? If so how?
I have found you have to either manually enable it per app or tell the phone to allow all.

I have tried both and those two do not work. I get all other notifications
Same issue, also for discord.
Same here for Hangouts and I am sure a few other apps.
For Hangouts send yourself a message but don't open it, you'll then be notified when new ones arrive.
Try disabling the MIUI battery saver for the specific app.
Tried that doesn't help.

Nope doesn't work. I've tried every suggestion. It's weird that I get notifications for everything else except allo and messages.

Then I guess it's an MIUI bug. Have you reported it?
Notifications are fixed in the China dev rom, just installed it and immediately started getting notifications on Allo, discord and Hangouts. A ton of additions as well! slider customization is now in the settings as well!
Mine magically started working last night. Someone sent me a text (my Google Voice goes to Hangouts) and it sat unread for several hours. I opened it then poof, all Hangouts notifications work now.

Yes dev rom is a huge difference. Can now rock it as my daily. Getting notifications and using fi and att.
I figured out the solution to this. Messages is listed as the default app but isn't. From Messages, mark all as read, it will then display a message at the bottom asking to make Messages the default. Press yes and notifications start working.

Yeah, mine has stopped working again. Strangely, it works fine I'm the car. How does global compare to eu? Any point in switching?

I currently don't see a reason honestly. I thought the global would fix some things and for me it didn't. Honestly right before I switched I had the eu room set up almost perfectly.

Have you tried the weekly build of the eu rom? I would have tried it already, but I'm traveling and can't afford any downtime.

Hi all,
Does anyone have this issue? I just updated to Pie (latest version) today and find out that LED notification is no longer working. The battery charging LED is ok, but no light for missed call or message.
It works fine in Oreo.
Works for me.

Lightflow works for me on Pie, especially for app specific colors. However I have to use the "always on" feature. Blinking on off setting have never worked on my PH-1.

might be worth double check the other LED related setting "don't blink light" under "custom restrictions" though you probably have already
Just want to update....in my phone, LED notification only works:
- gmail
- Voice mail waiting (but not work if there's missing call)
Does not work in SMS, MMS (doesn't matter in stock messenger or Textra or ChompSMS)
Look like Android Pie issue (I'm using latest Pie)
Any suggestion or solution is appreciated.

Missing phone call is still not working. I hope after May update, everything will work....cross my fingers.
