So SpritZ released their mail application to the Gear 2 marketplace, but it's not working for me at all.
I installed the main SpritZ mail app, and configured it before installing the SpritZ for the Gear 2 app, however literally nothing happens when I install it. I don't see it on my Gear manager, nor on my phone. I have no way to actually access it. Is there something I'm missing?

I bought (free) an app in the Samsung store and the store says it is installed but it is not showing up in my Gear Manager. Where did it go and how can I get it to show up. It's an alarm app. I miss the old Android alarm app that the Galaxy Gear had built in.

is it a an app that comes with the wgt file for gear support, or is it a standalone app for the phone ????
have you tried uninstalling gear manager or clearing data, re installing gear manager, then reinstalling the app you want
Go into your Android application settings on you phone. Dig through all the apps that you've downloaded and delete it from there. I had the same problem with an app the other day. It might not even show up in your app drawer, so just go to the downloaded application menu in the Android settings.
Sent from my SM-N900V using XDA Free mobile app
I deleted and re-installed Gear Manager and that did it. It was a pain and I had to reload everything but the app was there this time.
For some reason I don't have it on my watch. Want there supposed to be an app for messages? I'm on the Wi-Fi version paired with the Google Pixel XL.

I believe you need a samsung phone to have the messages and email apps on the watch. It's one of the limited functions of using the Gear S3 with a non samsung phone.
You can use other messaging apps like Textra, they just don't fully work the same. You will get messages though.

Textra seems to be an s2 app. I cant find any messaging apps for s3.
Well it's not going to install on the watch either way. However Textra does work. Download it on your phone and enable notifications in Gear Manager. I know it works as I have used it. However unless you use stock Samsung apps you don't get full use of the app. It's the same thing I'm dealing with for emails. I hate the stock app, but can't fully use a substitute because that is how Samsung has designed the system to be.

Ahhh I see. Yes, have found that gmail allows notifications to be replied to and read whereas the android mail app only allows a short preview/header of emails with no reply option.
Try Bluemail email app. Shows full email. They're quick to respond and the phone app is very customizeable and full featured as any email app.
Aqua Mail also has a setting for Smart Watch Enhancement which includes Gear.

I tried this and it worked a handful of times yesterday. Somehow I am not receiving notifications anymore from Textra and I am getting prompted to switch to the stock messaging app. Any idea why this is happening? Any recommendations on a solution/s? Thanks!

not true... I have a mate 9 and have the stock message app on my watch.
gear s3
Is it possible to trick the samsung default messaging app to show all your texts and let the watch show you messages while in reality I would actually be using textra as the default app?
same boat here... using the new galaxy watch with pixel 2 XL. would love to get a messaging app on the watch.
Hi all,
my company use Adnroid at Work for the corporate apps.
I've just configured it and the relative GMail.
The problem is that using Android at Work and the relative GMail, the Gear S2 don't show the notifications. I've setted in the GEar Manager App to notify for "All App", but nothing.
Seems that the GMail running inside Android at Work is not received by GEar S2.
Anyone successfully configured notifications for GMail for Android at Work?
Thanks in advance
There are only few good apps available on Gear S3. Very difficult to find best apps. Any suggestions?
Depends on what you're looking for, for me some of the best are Gear navigator, gopro remote app , flashlight app, uber , find my car , memory vault and chat hub
I'm looking for a complete app for running where i can set the time goal for km and so on...any advice?

Not sure how many of your boxes it will tick, but I have the Endomondo app on my S3. Works well as a companion to the phone app.
I like Whats History app because it keeps a history of my WhatsApp messages received by the gear. Otherwise, I can see only the last message from a contact (if more were sent)
Hello,
so I have fully updated Samsung Gear S2 (not classic one), and before the update, I could see the message and mail app.
Now I cannot find them either on the phone or on the Samsung Shop.
I have Xiaomi Redmi 4X.
Is there an option to instal this .apk NOT from Samsung Shop?
Regards,
F22
Mail (and I think message) works only with a Samsung phone. The Watch can not know what mail app the user can have on the 100 000 others phones type/brand

I'm using just Gmail app, like most of the ppl.
How about installing apps, not from the Samsung Store on watch?
