[Q] gnabo rom v2 over v1 - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
This is a question to Mikyno,
Have installed gnabo rom v1 on my note 8010, now can I flash v2 without wipe data?
Thanks for your support and great job with the leaked rom

I did just this yesterday and it went fine, just wipe cache and dalvik prior to installing. Some say wipe again afterwards but I did not and have no issues.
And back everything up first just in case it all goes tits up!
Hope that helps.

CyanogenMod 7

I already have CyanogenMod 7 (RC4) on my phone, but now that there is a stable release I would like to get it. My question is: can I install it over RC4 without having to wipe data and cache?
Save your Files and do a FullWipe, it's recommend and a must i think.
You are on the Safty-Side when you do that
I just flashed the final release over a daily build, the thread said so, and it works fine.
You don't have to wipe, only if there is a problem. I have been updating since around nightly 29 and haven't wiped once and that includes all the rc's and the new stable but make sure you backup just in case.

Please can anyone said how to add some other language in nightly build? There is my language in elder builds but now it was removed from last nightly.
Worked just fine for me.
I find that I can't add more language without recompiling ROM. Wrote to author with this problem.
Please, somebody, tell me how to disable annoying vibration then i unlock my phone with slider. Can't find settings for this. I'm using CyanogenMod V7.0.2 on wildfire.
Solved: just disable lock screen)
I find this funny because the day after you posted this thread the new version of V7.0.3 came out look 5 May 2011! Im sure you have already found out this information out for youself but this will answer your question just look here ok -

Main differences with oxygen and Bluetooth FTP profile
I'm a proud user of oxygen, but one thing that does not like me is that I need a new APP for Bluetooth file transfers (medieval...).
Does CM suppport this stock?

What do you mean? can you u use that app with CM7???? If thats what you were asking? the answer is yes!
PLEASE NOTE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A HTC DESIRE THE LINKS BELOW ARE NOT FOR YOU GO HERE & FIND YOUR PHONE & THEN FOLLOW THE GUIDE BELOW INSTEAD!

Just if you are coming from another rom make sure you do a full wipe & wipe the dev cache before you flash the Cyanogen rom! If you already run a cyanogen rom on your phone now dont bother doing a wipe just flash the new rom! i would install clockwork mode 3.*.*.* with Cyanogen 7.0.3 ( or you will get stuck on a bootloop after installing! ) go here for it - http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/20122-cyanogenmod-7-for-the-htc-desire-hd-v703-5-may-2011/ or if you dont wanna install the latest stable version ( & i dont know why you wouldnt want to ) or go here & install an older version the Cyanogen 6.1.3 from here - http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/11011-cyanogenmod-61-for-desire-hd-v613-01012011/ ( if you want 6.1.3 version make sure you use clockwork version 2.*.*.* or you will get stuck on a bootloop after installing! )
Hope this helps

SOLVED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOLVED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had Kyrillos 9.3 with 2.2.2 g3mod kernel than I flashed this v3.0 using multiboot. It's very smooth, works perfect... There is only one thing, the camera is black/white but otherwise everything works smooth!!
so now i have android 2.3.5 on my galaxy 3 with all these nice and new features!
thanks developers!
JUST MIX THE KYRILLOS ROM AND THAN GO IN RECOVERY=MULTIBOOT=CHANGE ROM=G3ROM(=the system.img should be in there=in ur sdcard)=once finished=GO BACK=FACTORY WIPE =REBOOT = AND VOILA WORKS SMOOTH AND SAVES EVERYTHING IN REBOOT MODE= BEFORE NOT!!!!!
I believe it had something to do with dalvik cache.. Have you tried wiping it from CWM?
Dympy.

[Q] Wipe data while flashing a ROM

I have flashed many firmwares (including my friends phones). While flashing certain ROMs, "Wipe data" seems to be mandatory (like in Cyanogen) while on some other, its only Optional (though may be recommended). I can understand doing "Wipe data/Cache" will clear out content of previous ROM so that the new ROM will run smoothly without any lag. But I like to know in which cases, we need to mandatorily wipe data before/after flashing new ROM.

[Q] RemICS v1.7 on my i9003 not properly working. Please help!!

Hi
I flashed RemICS v1.7 by Chinmay7d on my i9003. I got my phone up and running and RemICS is indeed very fine. The problem is that my phone does not have all the apps installed as it mentioned in the ROM such as Solid Explorer, Mx Player and other apps. the only apps which were installed along with the ROM were S-Voice and Beats Audio. Also im not able to use my phone as Mass Storage. Please help.
My Phone: i9003
Rooted with XXKPQ 2.3.6
Running RemICS v1.7
Maybe the apps you missed comes with the GAPPS. After flashing the rom, flash the GAPPS for remics. Find it in the thread.
Thanks Mate

Yes! Dont you ever try to touch ROM Manager. [WARNING]. you will may end up with a BRICKED galaxy fit. (btw its supported by galaxy fit, but better is not to touch it) and one advise....is as soon as you boot in cm7, remove ROM manager..
and yes you can try CM 10 RC2 by yajanab..its good, and you can try CM10.1 by erikcas as well.
happy flashing
thnx for the warning, now m moving to cm 10

I simply delete the rom manager apk from the zip file of the rom before flashing . It atleast makes some space in the /system

To be very true Cm10.1 latest build is way better than Cm10 Rc2.. No offence.
Cm10.1 is smooth and the camera works also smooth video recording as compared to cm10.
check it your self.
Good work by both the devs (Erickas and Yajnab) :good:
