Hey guys, I've been trying out http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/themes-apps/mod-aosp-signal-icons-t2584351 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2641297 but completely forgot to back up my original systemUI.apk like an idiot.
I have attempted extracting from ATT_XT1058_4.4-13.11.1Q2.X-69-3_CFC_1FF.xml.zip but this appears to be just 4.4, whereas when I check the OTA Blur_Version.140.44.5.ghost_att.ATT.en.US_2.zip, I can see there's a .p patch file, however I'm at a loss as to where to go from here. Adding in the 4.4 SystemUI.apk just gives me a black background with force closes, and I don't know how to patch the apk with the .p file.
Long story short - can someone please extract their SystemUI.apk from their AT&T XT1058 4.4.2 rom and post here?
Okay, since I found out that ATT 4.4.2 firmware was finally added to http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=0, I was able to download and extract.
If anyone else ever has the same issue, the SystemUI.apk and .odex are attached
Thanks a lot

Hello,
I am trying to make flashable zip of Lollipop 5.0.1 stock image for Nexus 5, and I am stuck at META-INF folder and update-script.
Could someone please help me with this?
With what do you need help?
U know these flashable zips already exist in the development forum?

Well, I would like to make something very simple, to add System, and Boot.img out of stock .tgz Lollipop image, maybe radio as well, nothing special.
I have some META-INF folder with update-script, but it is so much stuff inside, symlinks, and permissions, I wonder if I can make it more simple, with just formatting partitions, and installing system and boot.
Hi,
I have tried developing a Lollipop rom using CM 12, but after the build it didn'd form a .zip file but i have got system.img, userdata.img, ramdisk.img, recovery folder and others. Then later i have created the zip file by creating boot.img, update-script and signed it.
The problem is why it didn't create a zip file and boot.img by itself (I have given the kernel path in boardconfig.mk and I'm using Java 1.7). When I tried to install my rom, it got installed (I used aroma installer) and I was able to see the files copying into the memory, but when I rebooted, "SAMSUNG" image displayed and it started rebooting again and again. Whats the problem and how to correct these.
Someone help me out, so that I can bring out a ROM with the new Lollipop version.
Thank you
I wish I could help...but I dont have any experiane in developing ROM's:crying:
all developers are busy in making their Roms...
they should collaborate on the real thing....

please help him ....anybody so we can have rom for our PHONE.....
I'm working on the prime for verizon. If you open BoardConfig.mk there are a few lines to change. I'm not sure what yours will look like but one of them is the TARGET_BOARD_PLATFORM line. You also need to check the locations and block sizes for the partitions. Should work then. I'm still working on mine so don't quote me.
Hey guys, my Core 2 is having a broken screen and I can't install CM11 nor the stock rom. It works only with SpeedRom. So my question is which files should i copy from Speedrom to CM11 to get it to work? Cuz i really don't like stock TouchWiz roms and i want AOSP really much. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Extract both zip files, then copy boot.img from speedrom and replace it in cm11.
Note: CM11 may not boot with stock kernel!
Okay i will try it. Also another question, what file system should I use for system, data, cache folders? Cuz right now i'm using ext2 but I think i should use ext4.
Nope, it doesn't work. I even tried to copy the META-INF folder without success. Still stuck on "Samsung GALAXY CORE 2" splash screen.
Background: Going from Atrix 2 4.0.4 to Slimkat 4.4.4 and the file I was pointed to for Slimkat was com.projectlense.bootmenu.manager-1.apk and I do not know how one uses BMM to install .apk files.
BMM works to install .zip files. Do I have the wrong file for Slimkat 4.4.4 Rom, or what am I missing here? sorry, I'm new to flashing Roms). If you can provide some help, would be much appreciated. Theo

You don't use BMM to install anything other than .zip files. To install an .apk you use a file manager to open the file. After this you should be presented with a dialog asking you to open it with an installer.
To install this you have to have the security setting to allow allow unknown sources.
