Multiple subtitles with different settings - MX Player

Hi There!
First of all, good work, this is the best video player on Android.
Is there a way to develop the subtitle prefenrences should be different to each one? (external srt subtitles)
I'd like to learn English (and I should have, as it seems here ) , and it should be comfortable, if I can separate my own language subtilte to English subtitle. Maybe English is on the bottom of the screen with yellow color , the other is on the top, with some other color and size.
All the best,
Zsozso

Full Screen video on Touch Pro 2

Hey guys,
This has probably been asked many times. I've seen the HD2 play movies face to face, is there a program or a format that can be used on the TP2 to utilize the whole screen and not just show a movie in letterbox format?
This "letterbox format" you speak of is a result of the movies aspect ratio not matching that of your phones screen. Getting it to fill the whole screen should be a scaler setting of whatever video player software you are using.
By default most software is set to maintain the correct aspect ratio while keeping the full frame of the video visible. You want the setting that maintains the aspect ratio but zooms in on the video to fill the entire screen. The name of such a setting is variable between different applications; on Media Player Classic in Windows it is called "Touch Window From Outside", on TCPMP it is called "Fill Screen" and in the Zoom section of the options menu. I've never used any HTC video player application so I cannot help on that end.
With todays standards, there are several Aspect Ratios, though the most well known Aspect Ratios are Widescreen/Letter Box [16:9]/[16:10] and Full Screen/Standard [4:3].
If you wish NOT to download/install other apps to watch a movie in simple Full Screen mode, just make sure the video you want to watch in full screen is atleast 4:3 ratio.

[Q][Resolved] Can we move the picture up to the top of screen?

I suggest we add a feature to allow users to move the vedio picture to the top of the screen so that there won't be any black space on the top and subtitles can be displayed totally outside the picture in the lower black space. This is especially helpful when subtitles have two or more lines.
This feature can be found on desktop version of kmplayer, PotPlayer and a few other mainstream players.

If you are taking about bottom padding, it is not possible. But, moving the video is still possible. Goto Settings | Player | Touch Controls & enable Video pan
Now use two fingers together to move video screen in any direction.

You're going to have to provide more explanation than that.

You can just use pan & zoom functions to achieve the same. BTW, we are adding more controls to zoom function to individually control vertical or horizontal zoom. You may stretch the video as you wish by using the new zoom controls.

Can not Crop video - ONLY Stretch - Amlogic S812 Android TVbox and SONY AndroidTV

Dear All,
I just bought an Amlogic S812 the Android TV box to replace the old one (Allwiner A31s Android TVbox)
Currently when watching movies with the software MXplayer , it can not Crop the Screen Size to remove black place on top and bottom of screen, it only can use Stretch option to stretch vertically, does not stretch horizontally, so making everything in movies stretch out :crying:
I do not experience this problem on older devices using Allwiner A31s chip.
Pls help me fix this issue
P/S: I face this issue on SONY Bravia 55X9000C Android TV too.
Thank you all.
Anybody??
Same issue with the newest s905x3 chipset, Android 9.0... I don't have all the options in my settings, I can't even place apps on homescreen using Nova Launcher, I can't see the bottom drawer to open all running apps. Do manufacturers modify the Android version they put on these boxes? Is there a way to fix these issues, especially the video player cropping? In my box no player can crop, only stretches vertically, leaving me with an incorrect aspect ratio.
Hi everyone.
This may be a solution.
I get to realise that this thread has a long history and there is no proper answer.
I too had the same problem while using MX player in Android tv. But some video are able to crop view. After many thoughts I get to realise that there are two kind of popular encoding in mkv format.
Videos encoded in H.264 have no problem. But if it is H.265 commonly known as HEVC it will no crop or zoom in.
I currently use H.264 video for maximum use of my tv screen.
Please Google these encoding method for better understanding. There are some interesting comparison between two.
Happy watching

Understanding Aspect Ratio (for dummies)

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to show me how to adjust the aspect ratio.
Here are the specifics: I have a Samsung T350 tablet(rooted) and it has built in already the screen mirroring feature. Now, I also have an LG webOS UHDTV (48.5in diagonally). Now, if I send a video file directly to my TV from the tablet (using Quick Connect) aspect ratio adjust automatically. When using either my MX Player Pro or the built in player via screen mirroring (for streaming or simply for better navigation controls) the mirrored result on my TV is small and square looking. I'm certain there is a setting that I can avail myself of. Unfortunately, the Aspect Ratio settings on my TV seem to be disabled temporarily when using Screen Mirroring. I know MX Player has the ability to customize aspect ratio, can i utilize that in some way?? I hope I explained this problem correctly. My apologies if I didnt.
