Stock KitKat/Unrooted/Just Plain Out of the Box N5
I tried going into Safe Mode out of curiosity, right after it boots I immediately get this error message "Unfortunately, Google Search has stopped" with options to Report or OK.
When you press OK, it will just instantly show the error message again and when you press Report, you'll get "Unfortunately, Market Feedback Agent has stopped"
It's just an endless loop of this error messages, making the Safe Mode boot completely unusable.
What seems to be the problem?
I'm afraid, that when the time comes that I really need to boot into Safe Mode I'll get into all sort of problems

I flashed ROM and installed it with no problem. However when I rebooted I continuously recieve an error message "android.process.acore unexpectedly stopped" I cant acess anything through home keys except internet and if I go there (internet) I HAVE to press the "back" button in order to get out (the home key doesnt work. Also ANY key (other than the internet key) thats pushed result in the same message and the home screen returning. Any advice??
I've got a Moto G 16GB XT1033, stock 4.4.2, unrooted, locked boot loader. I installed this game (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glu.dino) and went away for a bit while it was being downloaded. When I came back, AcDisplay had the notification that the game was installed. So I dismiss the notification and enter the pass code to unlock the device. That's when the trouble started. I got the message that the com.android.systemui process had stopped. Everything would disappear for a bit and then its back to the lock screen. I tried rebooting and a dialogue that 'Android was upgrading' and 'Optimising app 1 of 1' would show for a while and then it would reboot itself. This time, the boot animation would be all wonky but it would get to the lock screen but if I enter the pass code, the systemui message appears. I tried safe mode but no dice.
How do I go about solving my problem? I just think its ridiculous that installing an app from the Play Store can cause my phone to be unusable.

Can You see your Statusbar and Navigation buttons? Are you sure you are not rooted?? Just reconfirming:silly::silly:
Nope, not rooted. As for the status bar and nav bars, I can see them before entering the pass code but as soon as I enter it, I get the message and they disappear.

Try swiping to the camera and then pressing home
Ok, first things first.
I'm from Brazil and I have an android phone. It's a LG L40 (tri chip and tv) and I THINK it's 4.2.2, NOT ROOTED. I have learn with my friends something called "Developer settings" (or something like this, my phone is portuguese).
Then I go to this menu and I clicked something I don't remember. I just know the phone shows up a windows "Attention, blah blah blah" and I press ok then another window appears, but that was the "Shutting Down" window. Then the phone turns black and then turns on. Then a window appears saying "Optimizing apps. 0 of 137 apps". After that the phone just appeared a lot of error windows. Like "unfortunately, videos has stopped", "unfortunately, this has stopped", "unfortunately, that has stopped". And there was just the ok button. But the last message was "unfortunately, com.android.systemui has stopped". No matter how much times I click ok, this windows pops up. I can't go to settings because the system doesn't started yet, I mean, it stopped. Behind that the screen is black.
I also tried to hold lock + up + down. The system boot and the optimizing starts again.
I have downloaded SDK but I will se what can I do with it, but I know that I have to plug the phone with USB on pc. Unfortunately, the device doesnt appear on windows explorer. Only in computer management.
Please, for God's sake, help me. I'm tired about this. This really destroied my day.
Sorry for my bad english

Hi, thank you for using XDA assist.
There is a general forum for android here https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help where you can get better help and support if you try to ask over there.
Good luck.
My cellphone is not showing the message "app example has stopped" when some application crashes, why?
In any android devices when some application stops working or does not respond, a message appears saying "app example has stopped working" or "app example is not responding", right?
But in my device, when I open an app that won't probably work, for example, it should show the dialog box saying the app stopped working, then I would click OK and keep using my phone normally - but this dialog box is not appearing and I don't know why.
The unique solution for this is restarting the phone when the application crashes. In addition, my phone breaks the screen but continues vibrating [when I hold the power button, for example] and lighting the buttons [menu and back].
If this dialog box appeared, I would click OK and normally keep using the phone without having to restart.
It will benefit you greatly to inform the viewers of this as to what your 'device' actually is, as that will save some time (I can't sleep so mines currently free. Nonetheless, I am thinking it, whatever it is, is in dire need of a factory reset. I'm sure if you clicked on the search button (at the top >> search plus) and typed your device model into the search box, you may find your current issue(s) or at the very least, the method you will need to backup and reset it.
Good luck
Hi!
I had to do a factory reset on my Hudl, and after a day of normal functioning the above keeps appearing. When I press OK, it pops up again immediately, which means I can't do anything about it. Is there anything I can do?
Many thanks.
