I have a gtablet, ipad, and apple TV 2. I would like to be able to encode one 720p file that would play on all three devices. What handbrake settings do I need to use?
I'm guessing MPEG 2/4 @ 9000kbps 25-30fps. For the G tablet make sure you are using rock player and have it set to hardware decode. If not MPEG 2/4.
I know that WMV, MKV, FLV, and SWF are all supported with the G Tablet, however you have to use rock player. I have watched lower resolution MPEGs on my tab, however I have not tried 720p or 1080p.
turn off b frames in the advanced tab. Its the main during bethat stops tegra dodecoding
So I've got a bit of an odd setup going on and I'm wondering if this is possible somehow. The screen (just the glass) of my Tab is broken, but the device still works as a whole so I decided to set it up as my main media device to replace my Logitech Revue. I've got all the hookups I need, but I'd like to get 1080p output to my big-screen as 720p just doesn't look very good. I've seen in the past where you can manually adjust PPI (pixels per inch), but I don't know that that would actually achieve the 1080p output I'm looking for.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
FYI, I am Rooted, running stock ICS right now. Not afraid to get messy.
Thanks in advance!

For example, you can use Allshare to wirelessly stream content from your Tab to your TV

So,...perhaps.
Now I think about it, the resolution displayed on the TV depends on the video stream sent to it, not necessarily the resolution of the tablet itself.
I have been able to get 1080i out of mine via the HDMI adapter, but have not gotten 1080p. I questioned Samsung about this and their reply was that it may be due to the HDMI cables that I was using. I have tried a few various cables but still the highest I have gotten is 1080i. It does look fine at this setting though.
How were you able to achieve this?

I want to know if video streamed through MHL depends on the resolution of the screen of the android phone. For example if I stream a 4K video to a 4K tv on a Note 3 or a MHL 3.0 capable device, will the video only be played at 1080p because of the screen resolution of the note or will it be streamed in full glory like in DLNA??
I also want to know if this is the case with the Z1 compact and the SGS3 which have 720p screens. Will 1080p video be streamed at 720p??
I understand that in the case of screen mirroring for games and such this is the case as obviously you are only streaming what is on the screen.
But MHL plays only the video and does not display the controls and such many times which is why I ask.
If you do not know, please do not make guesses.
Thank you.
I have a TF300T with a cracked screen. Its still mostly visible but I would rather use it on my TV as a media player. I installed CM10.2 but I'm still having the issue where the 16:10 native screen is being scaled inside the 16:9 output.
What roms support 16:9 video option?
Are there any roms that support 1080p output?
Thanks
Hello!
I have a Q10 Pro Android Player connected to a FHD TV and would like to use MX Player only for SD video playback. These are most often 720X576 resolution interlaced videos with 25fps (that is actually 50fps due the deinterlace). Variously coded in MPEG, xVid or x.264 codecs.
I can see some options in MX Player that could probably impact the Picture Quality of the playback, like the options to choose from HW, HW+ and SW decoders, then choose 3 different kind of Deinterlace method, an also 3 option regarding the colorspace.
Regardless if it would be working fine on my Box or not, what would be the theoretically best setting for each upper option to get the best possible Picture Quality with these kind of videos?
Thanks!
