Thanks for the answer , i saw that Portugal isn't on the list of country's that can use Paypal to buy apps on Google Play, but i also saw that i still need a credit card or bank account for this Paypal and i just said that i Don't Have a Credit Card 'the same as saying, i don't use Bank money yet and i don't have it'. The only way for me was to buy apps with the money of my SIM Card, if there isn't a way to do that then i have no choice but to go to free software . Why i don't have bank accounts? Still got no job 'never had', so not needing the use of an account for now'.

Well i guess it's a impossible request for now =/, i wanted it more to not need to buy new phone because if i at least liked to hear music on my phone 'a Xperia Mini Pro x10' then i would be happy with it because hearing Music is the best part for me on a phone and it's what i most do with it after the Sending of Sms of course xD, but if i got no reasons to like the phone then oh well it's what i have =S, and i'm lucky to have a phone like this of course i know that, but it's also true that human beings always want better as time passes by.
Cheers.

Thanks for the answer. Yes it's a good player but it's also a paid one that i can't aford because of what i said about not having credit card, only way was to buy by Sim Card money. Volume limiter is just another app to up and down the normal volume of the phone, it's not a limiter to avoid Distortion on playing music, the goal is to hear music as loud as i can but without distortion, that's why i need the limiter.
Cheers

I had tried it as well but that doesn't have the Limiter in it :S. Volume limiter e lock is a different thing, it's to Save The volume settings that you want and won't permit you to change those values, this is in case you accidentally switch volumes of your alarm etc...
Maybe i didn't explain correctly what i want xD, i'll try to explain more detailed:
For example, you know that there are songs that have more volume than others, the same will keep happening even if you put an Equalizer because it affects all songs, so if you use the Equalizer for the Low volume songs to be higher then that will make the High volume songs Distort for sure. Example: Song 1 has 94db and Song 2 has 99db, i use equalizer to gain 6db, so now Song 1 has 100db and Song 2 has 105db, what will happen? that's wright, Song 1 is on the limit without distorting '100db' but Song 2 is Distorting Way Big '105db'.
So the only way to prevent that distortion from happening is...with the (Limiter), that will make Song 2 reduce to 100db avoiding it's distortion.
Examples of that is Gonemad Player, Poweramp, Playerpro and RocketPlayer, the catch? All of them are 'paid'
That's why i'm asking help to see if there's a free alternative, or if it's possible to pay the apps with money from my Sim Card.
Cheers

If it wasn't for the part of wasting so much money on a device 'specially not having a job or credit card, with almost no money left' that would be my first option. But i can't afford one right now, so the only way is by an app. Besides...I will always need an app like this on any device because No Device has a Audio Limiter xD.

Solved!

Hey mates, thanks for the help . Viper4android really was the solution after all , but it can only be version 2207 because other versions will do awkward restarts to my phone, this version is stable and has everything 'limiter, reverb, stereo widening, output gain' very good indeed , only thing is that i can't use convolver because that will crash android system and make the same awkward restarts then so i must be careful. No need for new device now xD .
pinkLeviosa, if you're trying to find the same thing as me, then also try viper4android you will like it .
CrazeXDA, looks like you were right after all since there still was one version stable for my phone 'not available anywhere, only on 4shared, not easy to find' xD.
Thanks mates, cheers :good:

[Q] Music Player with Good Equalizer

Hi Guys,
I'm looking for some app to play mp3 songs on my X10.Have Poweramp full version but it gives an error "Too many falied files, playing will now stop" if the mp3 file is not playable.
It then has to be reinstalled to play any songs further.
The only reason I sticked it was due to its awesome equalizer which coupled with good earphones produced excellent music.
I have also tried Music Player Pro-full version and winamp but lack of equalizer & punchy sound makes them dud
Any suggestions please?

My suggestion:
do NOT play corrupted files and stick with PowerAMP. I've tried almost every music player available for Android and in the end I've bought PowerAMP. I need good equlizer as well and PowerAmp is just the best (not only in terms of equalizer).
Btw.: I've been using it for quite a while and the problem you mentioned in 1st post occures when you use cracked version of it. I've installed cracked version to try it before I decided to buy it and it gave me that error. I've never encountered it since I've bought it. So if you don't have it bought, just do it. It really worth that money. If you have, make sure you're using the original version available on Market. Eventually, you can try to send me that song causing the error and I will try to play it on my device to see what happens
as borecz1 said, i have tried EVERYTHING out there!! and since i have been moding my phone and re-flashing roms so much latley i am still on the "trial" version, but intend to but the app once i've finished tinkering!
What i would dearly love (dev's..!!) is an app that can access the internal EQ settings on my x10i. I have seen a few that you can use with your PC, but i'm blown if i know what numbers to put into each box.
An app with access to the internal EQ, perhaps with a preset or 2 would be my very next purchase!!!

Inbuilt EQ? Does this matter since we have DSP Manager? I don't think so. A argument for the stock music player is the nice integration into the statusbar, but the rest of the UI in my sight is horrible. It isn't even compatible with changed LCD Density. I feel much more comfortable with the Google Music UI. But that is a personal opinion and thus we can't say this, or stock music, or what else is better.
I've attached the newer version of google music. Extract and simply install. No need to push it anywhere.
EDIT: Upload doesn't work. Everytime the forum says "Upload failed." I'll try later
EDIT2: Upload succeded. P.S. I had two apks when I looked into my download folder one with version 4.0.9.509 and one unnamed that was actually newer: Version 4.1.511
@ taraen
ya...u are right. It depends upon personal opinion but I have opbserved very cleanly that definitely default music player's inbuilt equilizer is really better than any other equilizer that we install in our phone. I usually set this combination in my default music player
euilizer- classic
sound effect- wide
On this combination if u listen music then its really awsome. I tried so many different equilizers but no one matched sound qulity that I got from default music player with above settings.
Edit:
I tried most famous power amp music player. It is really better but not best as compared to default music player in terms of equilizer sound quality.

I have tried around with your settings. They sound good, but hence they don't have any bass they don't fit my taste of music. I simply don't manage to get some bass out of these earphones without making everything sound muffled / dull / how_you_ever_want_to_describe_it

[Q] Futuristic/Sci Fi Ringtones

I am looking for quality futuristic and/or sci-fi sound effects and ringtones from movies like Minority Report, I Robot, the new Star Trek....movies of that sort. If you know where I can find sound effects like this, please point me in the right direction. .....and just an FYI, I've already tried Zedge and had no luck. They have too much "music" and other garbage to be able to find anything useful and of quality as far as what I'm looking for.
Thank you, in advance for any leads.
I'm just tired of music ringtones and all the other "usual" stuff.

I thought of that, but the problem is that you don't ever get a good clean sample of ONLY the sound you want.which makes for a very poor quality "ringtone" that sounds like it was recorded from a movie scene. .....not what I'm going for.
Depends on the source, I guess. It's not hard to use music from times in movies where it's just he music playing - and it's easy to isolate something like "phaser fire" or "light saber", et cetera.
You could just also search for a specific thing and see of someone has already done it.

Google Music Censoring....

Any way to get it to stop replacing explicit songs i upload with their censored version? A grown man should be able to hear the word **** if he damn well pleases to.
And no, the "block explicit songs" option is not enabled
When you upload a song, it wont use your version unless you're the first to do so. Google wont waste space having a million copies of the same track.
Unfortunately its probably that a censored version was uploaded by someone else.
I would expect them to have one of each up there but that may not always be the case

actually yes it does.
But still, me having to go through thousands of songs to do this (yes, pretty much every explicit song is censored, havent found any of my original uncensored versions yet) is a bit tedious and shouldnt be a problem in the first place. O well, back to power amp with my downloaded music i go.
Interesting, none of my songs ever matched at all. Maybe it's because most of my library had volume levels normalized using Replay Gain.

I love Play Music for purchased/All Access music, but if you're looking for it purely as a locker I would recommend Amazon Cloud Player.
I think that the upload functionality of Play Music is primarily meant as a supplement for things that are not available for purchase/subscription, as there are plenty of issues they haven't ironed out like the one you posted. Hence why it's free, I guess.

its a shame, this freed up 5 gigs of internal for me. Really hurting for a sd card slot now. Though i do have the meenova card reader, i dont really wanna have to keep it in 24/7.
Hopefully someone comes up with a case that has a built in OTG card reader at some point. Thats money im willing to spend without hesitation
Have you looked at Amazon's cloud player? It's really a good solution as a music locker.
Actually I wonder if my accident could be your solution. What if you wiped your Google Music account clean, normalized the audio level of all your local MP3s using Replay Gain (e.g. MP3Gain), and then re-uploaded? The adjusted files may not be recognized as matching Google's tracks, which would then avoid any clean-ification.
Or possibly clean up the ID3 tags first as well. That's one thing I did with all my downloaded music before adding to iTunes (and by extension Google) - fixed the ID3 using a batch editor and applied Replay Gain.

It's extremely irritating and very arbitrary. Everything by Queens of the Stone Age is censored, for example. Plenty of either bands are not. So annoying.

[Q] New Nexus - have a couple tweaks I would like to make, not sure how though

Hello all. I just a Nexus 5 last night. I am really enjoying the stock Google Launcher. Two things I would like to do are:
1) tap/double tap the screen to wake up. Pressing the power button on the side is fine, but I would like something else when I am driving.
2) Pandora unlimited skips. I am not asking for free/no ads. I currently pay $36 as a Pandora One customer. I would just like to be able to skip more than 6 times.
When I rooted my Galaxy S5, it changed a lot of things on the phone - most for the better. However I am really happy with the Nexus and would love to keep it as stock as possible.
Thanks for any help you can give
Erik
1) You need a custom kernel for that, then enable the feature thru trickstermod
You can wake the phone when the screen is off by saying "OK google". To do this you must enable it in the settings of the Google search app or in the settings of the Google now page. It will only work with screen off if it's plugged in to power. As for the Pandora unlimited skips install exposed framework and get the module called "Pandora patcher". There are kernels to double tap to wake, but it's a huge battery hog, I wouldn't recommend it.

You can use xposed with the Google launcher, you will need root for that though. Root doesn't change your phone at all, it will just give you access to install cool stuff. Xposed framework is the best way to stay stock and only add the features you want. As opposed to using a custom rom.
Iirc, GravityBox module has settings specifically for the stock launcher.

I have read thru a lot of the threads and posts you have commented on. I appreciate the knowledge you bring to the forum. Given your background in making custom kernels, etc. I would think you would understand the desire to tweak and improve upon software. I am a current subscriber to Pandora One and will continue to be. However I do not see how skipping 7 or 8 songs impacts their bottom line.
While I have never written Pandora a direct email, I have posted/commented about my displeasure of the song limit skip on their blog.
As much as we can tweak things with Android, there's a limit to what can be done with a proprietary, closed source service like Pandora.

in this case, google will be your friend. search google for a pandora with unlimited skips, only then will you be successful in this outcome. xda doesnt have the answer for you in this case. again, you didnt hear it from me

right, but the limit is there for legal reasons, not because we cant. and on xda we follow the legality. but google is indifferent.
Pandora One is nearly useless on mobile now. Mobile has always been locked to 64kbps (so you don't get the increased sound quality) and with the removal of unlimited skips all you get is the removal of ads. I'd honestly recommend switching to Slacker. It has higher sound quality even in the free version, and the "Plus" version still gives you unlimited skips. They also have a much larger music library so you don't get the same song playing over and over as frequently.
Edit: As far as the double-tap to wake feature, just keep in mind you will see some additional battery drain when idle.

I use Play Music for a lot of features it has over Spotify (caching radio, viewing songs that have previously played on a radio station, managing tags on your library music,etc...) but Slacker's still a great option for a free/$4 per month radio-only use.
I've been using a lot of rhapsody lately, and paid the $4 a month for it. I really love that i can listen to any album or song by any artist, that I want. and all skips are unlimited when listen to the "radio" with it.

I use Play Music for a lot of features it has over Spotify (caching radio, viewing songs that have previously played on a radio station, managing tags on your library music,etc...) but Slacker's still a great option for a free/$4 per month radio-only use.

I have play set up but the quality is too inconsistent for me.. I'm not gonna spend a couple of hundred dollars on headphones then listen to play through them.
There's nothing play has for me that is better than spotify, yet everything spotify has for me is better.

I was able to find a pandora .apk that has the unlimited skips. I also have Spotify with I pay $9.99 a month for. I have tried Pandora, Spotify, Slacker, Iheart, Amazon, Google PLay, Mog, Beats and another one that I can't remember the name of but the app icon is pretty. I just find the Pandora radio plays more music that I like and want to listen to. Example: Old school hip hop - Pandora will play Dr Dre, Tupac, Biggie, - all of their hits. Spotify plays the same artists but songs I have never heard before. Very few hits.
I will try Slacker again and see if I can make that work for me. I do appreciate the help guys - thank you.
Oh and I have given up on the double tap once I found out about the extra battery usage.

Not true.
Spotify is 320 Ogg on extreme quality as it happens, much better than MP3
Play also depends on the source. If you upload something, it matches the album to files that already exist, based on tagging an audio signature. You don't really think they're hosting 14 million copies of Brittney Spears, Hit me baby one more time do you?

Anything that matches is matched to 320kbps MP3. It doesn't match to other people's uploaded files. Anything that's subscription based (which is a fair comparison, since Spotify doesn't even allow uploaded) is also 320kbps.
Ogg isn't CBR so I'm not really sure what settings Spotify is using. If they're saying 320kbps then it's probably q9. But Ogg is only better than MP3 at low bitrates, as you get up to 256kbps they're transparent to each other. A trained listener may be able to hear the difference on high-end audio equipment, but you're certainly not hearing the difference off of the Nexus 5's DAC. And I'd still say it's ridiculous to say that Ogg q9 is "much better" than 320kbps MP3.
Anyway, this has gotten completely off topic.
