Android MX Player Resume Data Location - MX Player

I'm attempting to write an app that will allow me to translate mx player resume positions to other players (media player classic) on a windows pc. My ultimate purpose is to be able to close a movie on android, and open the same movie on a desktop and resume from the same position. Where does MX Player store resume positions on the Android platform?

Note sure if you can access that directly, but do take a look at the API definition: https://sites.google.com/site/mxvpen/api

[Q] MX player cannot play video format 'Flv' on Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570I

Hi,
I have setup the digitel media streaming on a Windows Media Player on Laptop with Windows 7(WMP Network Svc(Windows 7 Media Player Network Sharing Service (wmpnetwk)) to let other devices on the same wireless network to access media streaming. I have installed AnDLNA player on Android mobile to receive the Media Streaming. And also, I installed the latest of MX player since the AnDLNA client player couldn't read the vidoes files which is listed in it.
WMP is working as remote server on which digitel media are saved
AnDLNA is functioning as Client Player which will access the digitel media streaming on Windows Media Player which is functioning as server. When running any video in the AnDLNA client player, then I am prompted as to which player I should use, then I choose 'MX player'.
MX player played all video formats, except 'FLV' video format, although it is the latest version.
.
Although I have read on the top of the forum, this Discuss MX Player, the versatile media player for Android, capable of playing most types of video formats.
However, my problem is that when I have running FLV files, I don't find that MX player recognises them.
I hope that made my thread clear.
Any suggetions would be highly appreicated.
Could anyone please reply to me to finish this pending problem?
a) do these FLV files play properly in MX if you copy them to the device?
b) SW, HW, or HW+ mode?
c) What ROM?

Thank you so much indeed.
Yes, MX player can play the FLV files if they are copied to my device. However, I am accessing file via a WMP Network Svc(Windows 7 Media Player Network Sharing Service (wmpnetwk)) If I want to copy them to my device, then this would need about 80GB of Memory card on my device.
As said before that I am using AnDLNA client to access the video files shared on the Windows Media player on my Laptop. And once the files are listed on the AnDLNA client, then when I cliced on any video files, I was prompted as to which player can play this file, then I chose MX player.
Can I install any Video codecs for supporting FLV video format on MX player on my device. I know there are codecs available but the developer says you shouldn't need a codec unless the player asks for one on startup.
I hope you understand me.

Support vlc://http://video streaming ?

I have a question you can add to the MX PLAYER startup options via video link:
If I have become fixed on the HTML page .... It is caused by the feature of → vlc: //
LINK:
vlc://http://something.com/something.mkw
Call up all the android player with support for VLC. Interesting that just running to play may KM PLAYER.
So I ask if he would go add support also MX PLAYER. And to make video play that way. Thanks

This method is used long ago. Eventhough It's supported by some third party browsers, Google no longer supports the custom schemes to call the app. It won't work on chrome as well from version 25.
Instead you can launch any app by using appropriate intents. MX Player supports various intenet parameters. You can call MX Player directly and pass more details like subtitles, titles, etc.
You can refer MX Player API page on official site for more information.

[Feature Request] Android Wear support

It would be great to have information from MX player on Android Wear when using it for music, and basic controls.
Also the ability to add network folders to MX player.
And the ability to have MX player seek entire video/audio to temporary location whilst playing it from network.
A simple MX player widget would be great to have as well.
:fingers-crossed:

[Feature Request] Dex Mode support.

My request is simple, and to my knowledge, also simple to implement: Full screen support in Samsung Dex Mode.
I am currently using a Samsung S8 with a Dex Dock as Desktop replacement (typing this right here). However, MX Player is not resizeable.
There is an app (Dex MAX), where I can launch MX player in resizable mode and even watch Movies full screen on my TV.
However, when i launch MX Player from a File Explorer (Solid Explorer), to utilize its builtin streaming server to watch movies from my NAS, it still launches in a tiny window.
Here is a link on how to integrate this in any app:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/accessories/samsung-dex-t3593828
This would be the last thing i need for a full desktop replacement!
Btw.: MX Player is awesome...
Hi,
Currently MX Player is not optimized for the DEX mode. We will try to improve it in future.

MX Player hide File Path(url)

Hi
I am using mx player to play stream urls,
I was wondering if there is a way to hide the url path when my app open Mx player from intent (action.view)
If you go to properties on Mx player there can be found the stream url,
I have seen other apps that use Mx player to play streams urls but they hide the url you cannot see what url you’re playing.
