Hello guys,
i have a karbonn a 18 with cwm recovery . flashed stock rom following the guide given on xda for flashing stock rom via flashtool v.4.0 and now phone is stuck at boot logo. phone can boot into recovery only. kindly help me out.
Oh great. You still have access to your recovery, simply download any rom available for your device. Transfer it to your device, if your device does not have an SD slot, simply push the rom.zip to your device via adb.
Once you have the ROM on your device, simply wipe data and cache and install the ROM.
Please remember, the next time you flash a ROM. Please make a back up as it will save you in such situations like this.
If I helped, don't hesitate to hit that Thanks button
did that but didnt work before only
You have to download a stock rom compatible woth your device and install it through odin may be it works

Hi.. I installed Rom Manager onto my friends p500,it was rooted earlier.. but it did not have a custom recovery ..so i flashed the latest cmw through the rom manager app.
After which i selected to create a back up.. The mobile restarted (to enter the cmw recovery for backup operation).. but soon after the restart the mobile got stuck at the LG Logo.. I waited for about 10mins and it did not respond. Then i removed the battery and then power it on.. but it is stuck at the LG logo.. I am unable to get into custom recovery.. (power+home+volumeup).
Also, Mobile is not detected when connected to pc.
How to resolve this issue?? Please help
(I am able to get into emergency mode)

Even though the the P500 is "supported" by ROM Manager, ROM manager is extremely wonky with that device. ROM Manager is not the only way to install a recovery and IMHO is the worst way to manage that device. ADB, Fastboot, and FlashImageGUI are much safer alternatives. FlashImageGUI requires the 'flash_image' binary to be installed on the device. I've never seen it on a stock ROM for any device but it is usually included with custom ROMs. 'flash_image' can be extracted from /system/bin of any custom ROM and pushed to the device. FlashImageGUI can be downloaded from Play Store. The other two alternatives are a little more cumbersome, but just as effective.
I have written a Windows front-end for the fastboot executable called Android Flash Recovery. Assuming that your device drivers are correctly installed and the device can be booted in to fastboot mode, Android Flash Recovery can make recovery installation much easier. The link for AFR is in my signature.

Hello All,
I have updated my MMX 110 ICS to JB. Before updating I have had CWM installed and the phone was rooted. After I Updated to JB I had network issues so I unrooted the phone. Once the network issue was fixed I have tried to root the phone and or install the CWM I never had any success till date. Below given is the list of things I tried:
1. Flashing Recovery.img via recovery mode (CWM recovery image)
2. Flashing recovery.img via recovery mode (Stock Recovery Image)
3. Updated SuperUser rar file form SD card
4. Bin4ry V17 - After the restore process is done and the phone shuts down it never turns back up - I have to manually reset the batter to turn the phone on.
Please suggest a way to either take the phone back to Stock recovery of ICS or root this MMX with JB 4.1.1.
FYI I am not sound with Android devices. I am good with computers and symbian devices.
Regards
HARI
do it with sp flash tool.
Hello,
I have already tried spflash tool to flash the recovery image and cwm. That did not work. I tried to flash the jb 4.1.1 stock ROM that worked but still I am unable to root.

You have to get cwm <recovery.img> then paste it in the folder having actual recory.img stock image. Replace it with cwm. Now using flash tool just select scatter file and the recovery.img uncheck all other options yhen click download. Wait and reboot. Then place supersu.zip in mmc. Now shutdown phone and start pressing power button volume up and down all together. Now u will get option of recovery mode. Now install the supersu zip.

My phone (Micromax A117) is bricked (stucked on logo).
Reason of my bricked device: i updated system/lib/libskia.so from playstore issue sorting area.
It doesn't have any custom recovery installed.
Is there any way that i can install custom recovery via usb or any other way so that i can install custom ROMS I have downloaded?
Please its so long procedure that i have to download stock rom and then flash with it then install recovery and then my custom roms...
Yep you can. Using sp flash tools just flash recovery. Then boot into device. Continue with flashing

Q. Have you got in cwm recovery loop i.e. when you reboot your phone it goes in recovery mode?
ANS. No probs. Just remove your battery and open download mode manually by pressing Power button+Home+volume down key. If you do like this only then download mode will support your odin otherwise it won’t support. After this just flash your cwm recovery again.
Q. Stuck on boot animation?
ANS. Just download adb (android debug bridge) minimum requirements. Sideload your rom . It may seem to you that you got stuck there but don’t panic, wait at least 5 minutes. After that remove your battery and press (Power+Home+volume up) upto it shows samsung screen and then release. Then just install your rom from recovery mode. ENJOY…………………….
I have galaxy core duos GT-I8262. Could you please guide me to flash custom recovery, Rooting and install a custom ROM.
