Look at it now. Custom watch widgets. We can make custom backgrounds. We have a pedomater. We have a seconds widget that counts up to 60. Numerous new clock faces. I mean heck, I have a green digital clock widget. I mean we have seen this evolve into a much more fleshed out smart watch in a 2 month span it's been amazing
I belive the smartwatch 2 Will age much much more gracefully than any other smartwatch.
Its getting customization like the pebble , but with a touch screen thats even colored!

I agree. It's come along nicely. Hopefully it continues for awhile longer.

Now we just need sony to make the watch cycle through it's faces with a horizontal swipe.
I must say, being able to control my music directly from the watch face is the best part for me. Now I really like my watch.

Although the pedometer isn't integrated in the smartwatch, it does use the app installed on your phone and it works pretty well.

Why would a smartwatch need a pedometer?? If you have your phone in your pocked why not let your phone do it? And if the sw2 can utilize it and display it on its screen why not use that?

to the best of my knowledge, the active listening component of the "Google Experience Launcher" is not available on any custom third party launchers as of yet. google has not open-sourced their launcher and, for the time being, are keeping it an n5 exclusive.

I personally just set the double tap gesture to voice search. Just as good maybe better.
Thanks, guys. But I found an app that so far does toggle active listening. It's called Open Mic+. It's in the Play Store and it comes in a free and paid version. The paid version honestly doesn't add much more than the free one does. Anyway, the app isn't 100% perfect, but it's good so far.

I assume with open mic+ nature of app battery life would be hit significantly?
I am surprised the moto x assist and always listening app have yet to be ported.

The problem I found with open mic+ is on my stock nexus 5 it was not starting on boot and at random times disappears from the navbar or just stops responding to the keyword even though it is running and shows it's listening. The concept is nice but will have to wait on a more stable implementation. Props to the dev though as he's just in high school and it's well on the way to being a must have app.

Really? This isn't the Moto X. There is no point at which you have to do nothing. You still have to unlock the phone and be at the home screen. Having already unlocked the phone what is a double tap? Besides, I don't particularly like saying okay Google.
Op should add a question mark in the topic.
Done.

This is what I want. We have the extra core, LET IT LISTEN TO US!
Running CM11 beta 7. 4.4 on S3. Tmo.
Google Experience Launcher
Nova Launcher Beta 3
On the S3 the left capacitve "menu" button offers a long press option into Google Now.
Then Google Now is Active: Say "Ok Google"
Or use the standard GEL, and "Ok Google" is active in any home screen.
Try this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.luck.okaygooglenow I'm in the same boat on my AT&T S3. I'll give it a shot and report back.

It's double tap instead of saying ok google. Since you have to have it opened to the homescreen anyway a double tap would be faster. It would be different of course if we had always listening when the screen is off.

Hello everyone, forgive me if this has been asked before, I searched and found nothing similar so here goes.... Just got new Verizon HTC ONE M8 on Saturday and love the phone but would love to know how to increase volume for bluetooth specifically but all volumes would be handy to boost if possible. Anyone know what system file(s) dictate volume levels? Thanks!

Q&A for [ROM][BETA][D850][UNOFFICIAL]Cyanogenmod 11 | KK 4.4.4 | BUMPED
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [ROM][BETA][D850][UNOFFICIAL]Cyanogenmod 11 | KK 4.4.4 | BUMPED. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
Screen brightness
The screen brightness seems to be rather low even when on 100%. Not sure if i just think it is or what.
I flashed an unofficial version of the Mahdi rom. It worked mostly OK but I lost root access for all root apps. It was still rooted because I then flashed an unofficial version of Cyanogen Mod. Again I lost root access for all root apps. I am on my third flash of Cm, all with the same problem. Apparently many people have had the same problem but I have yet to read of any real solution. Can anyone help me with this?

Im not sure if im thr only one that has noticed but, the volume from the loudspeaker seems to be a bit lower than that of the stock rom when it is set up to max volume. Anyone else has noticed it?
By the way, awesome work here, i really love this rom and ive been using it since the new kernel patch, flawless!
I've noticed that the vibration feedback is way low. And adjusting in in the sounds setting doesn't really help. Only have a few problems.
1. Phone can not charge while turned off; turns right back on
2. Can not send MMS messages; it sends but the person receiving them does not receive them lol.
3. Bluetooth apparently doesn't work for calls; you can however use it as speakers for media and such.
Thank you

I wrote an App that lets you control your phone's brightness provided it's running Android 8.0+ and has a compatible fingerprint sensor.
I wrote it because I change my phone's brightness as often as I change it's volume, if not more, and I was upset I didn't have dedicated hardware for it. When Oreo launched and it added fingerprint gesture detection, I figured I'd have a go at it.
The app has been available on Google Play for a month now to Pixel and supported Nexus devices. All things being equal, it should work on the Essential Phone with Oreo installed, but I don't have access to one.
I was wondering if anyone here could help me test it?
