Sir/Madam,
Recently I have installed a stock firmware for my samsung galaxy fame duos (GT-S6812). When I boot it in download mode it shows system status 'official' but when I check my device status it tells 'custom'. Please help me on this.
Thanks

Maybe you flash an unclean Rom.
Try flashing a new one from trusted sources.

To be honest, no one can guarantee a 100% clean stock rom.
I've searched and did what I should but find no guaranteed stock rom for your device.
Also keep in mind that your lucky that's your only problem compare to others who bricked their Androids.
I suggest that you should be content with that as long as you don't meet any problem, don't you.Don't try to mess with your phone. You don't know how worst it could be!

I had a similar issue as your that I reported here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2760252
(Don't know if that link will appear correctly in this post)
I've had my exchanged dcvice for 2 days and last night about 6:30 pm it suddenly acted up again... power key worldn't work, took a battery pull to restart, came on with an unlocked lock with the word "custom" under it, looking at device status in the settings showed "custom" not original, and phone would go to sleep and not wake up. The device new device had never been conected to any computer (I was still trying to understand what I had that caused the error in the first place. The battery was at about 58 percent when this happened. I did plug the phone into a charger (after a battery pull reset) and let the phone charge a bit... at about 65 percent battery I decided I would look at it at again and when I did it was back to original, a reboot did not display custom nor the open lock.
Sorry it doesn't help much but don't feel alone.

It seems to be the microSD card that I was using is/was causing the problem. I removed the micro card and it (the device) went back to normal... I put the SD card back in and it again went into that unlocked icon on boot and custom status. I went and bought a new card and placed it into the device and haven't seen the strange behavior again as of yet.
I am also Facing this problem on my Samsung galaxy fame mobile
if u hav idea any about this tell me now?

Use fastboot from your PC. Everything is controlled from CMD Prompt. Look at Pete's tutorial. Just need to setup the drivers. Check the stickies.

Buddy It is sad to see you facing problem with your device. Can you tell exactly what's your problem. What I understand from your post is whenever you remove your battery and plug it back your mobile is not turning on. You have to keep it off for 1 day before you can turn it on successfully. Is that what you are trying to say buddy?

I was using official rom not rooted one till yesterday.
I installed ICS yesterday guessing that it would solve the problem but the problem remains same & it became worst than ever before.
I am going to install the original firmware once again but I am not getting the proper link to download it. Could you please just give me the link to download ginger bread 2.3.6 for the Saudi Arabian Region?
& I think there must be a problem in boot sector. Whenever I remove the battery and plug it back to it, it takes time to turn it on at least 10 to 24 hours.
One more thing my laptop is detecting the mobile even my mobile is turn off.

Hey XDA! My brother and I are having a problem with his Verizon GS3. After a fight with it we finally got it completely rooted (we rooted it while he was running 4.1.1 stock) . Every time we try to flash a ROM the phone does it and then during boot up it gives an error message. Something along the lines of "unauthorized software has been detected. Please go to your nearest Verizon store to restore your device." not exactly what it says but close to that (I don't have it in front of me right now). Does anyone know what could be wrong and how to fix it?

Boot loader was locked upon ROM flash.
Vzw ez unlock for Verizon galaxy s3 will unlock it.
If you can not find in play store.
Google it and you can download and place on SD card to install the app that way.
Make sure you are rooted

Isn't the boot loader unlocked in the first step? The boot up screen with the Samsung logo has the unlocked symbol on it. Sorry for the dumb questions, the only device I've rooted is my Galaxy Nexus and that was a breeze.

No its still locked use the ezunlock and it should let you flash a rom.
It really is. Hopefully when the X-Phone comes out it will be easy like the Nexus. Rooting the GS3 has been such a nuisance. Thanks for the help everyone! I'll report back with how it goes.

So ezunlock is no longer available on the play store apparently. Every link that was supposed to take me there didn't work, just says it "We're sorry, the requested URL was not found on this server." Any other apps that I could use?
Hopefully this works. Threw the apk up in my drive. I'm not going to leave it there long, so grab it quick. Make sure to allow installs from unknown sources in developer settings.
Removed URL
Post here when you have it.
Edit: Removed the URL since I'm not going to leave it up all night. Google ezunlock, it's literally the first link you see.

Hello XDA,
2 days ago I installed CyanogenMod via their new installer everything went great. After a 2 days of testing I decided that the Nexus 5 is a great phone and doesn't need any custom rom (atleast not for me). So I followed this guide to unrooting the device and setting it back to the stock rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701
I selected recovery and after that I'm supposed to see a dead android. But I'm not seeing anything my screen is black. I can some light so it is still turned on.
I'm kinda freaking out over here so I really could use some help on restoring this ( if its possible ).
Greetings,
Liquidfood.
I'm dutch so my English might not be perfect.

How you should I go about this. I still have warranty in the store that I bought it form ( probably not because bootloader is unlocked. ). But I wanna try it anyways should I tell them the truth or not? And can I send it directly to google/lg?
Ok so a miracle happend. I got it to work again, I let the battery drain and hooked it up to my computer and got in the bootloader. So I flashed the rom again and now it worked!

Hi Beast20,
As I have understood, the problem on your phone is that it is no booting into Android. Now, you may try flashing again the Stock Rom or installing a brand-new Custom Rom (such as Cyanogen Mod, Lineage OS...) using the Odin tool. For further help and instructions, I suggest that you share with me your Galaxy's Specs (and especially the Android Version, the processor and the Ram).
Regards,
