[Q] Group text message issue: I'm added as an additional "party" to the group message
I recently made the switch from Sprint to T-Mobile and currently use a Samsung Galaxy S5. I ported over my old number and everything is fine except for group text messaging. For group text messages, I'm included as an additional group member. In other words, when I receive texts from the group, I see myself IN the group (I appear as my phone number). When I reply back to the group message, I send myself a text as well because it thinks I'm another group member.
I'm not sure why it does this. Any help would be appreciated!

hehe anyone? :good:

Group Messaging

I have a problem, I switch to cm6 ROM and I lost the ability to send group text messages. I need to be able to send group messages for work. Are there any reliable/quality programs out there that will enable me to send group text messages since I no longer have sense capabilities.
Thank you in advance.

[Q] Android Developers › Not able to send messages in a group

Hello Friends,
I have brought Samsung Galaxy Core recently. I am getting a problem in sending a message to my group of contacts.
I have created a group of 40 people which I want to send a message to all of them, but when I am trying to select all people in a group I am geeting a message " 10 contacts available only".
Can someone tell me how to get rid of this as I want to send a message to all people in a group created.
Thanks

[Q] group messageing

pixel group text mania

inb4 search the forums - i definitely did
using the default essaging app on a google pixel on verizon.
when i initially send or receive a group text, i'm clearly in a group text. but my replies to that thread get divided and sent out as individual replies effectively taking me out of the group text. the other recipients therefore cannot tell to what i am replying. the HTC One didn't do this - group messages were group messages, individual messages were individual messages.
what am i not understanding about how to reply in and stay in group texts?
thanks!
Its the way it was designed, it should say it when writing a new group text.
'This is a mass text, Each recipient will receive an SMS messages from you, Replies will appear in individual conversions.'

Click to collapse
To fix this click on the three dots in the top right corner, go to settings, then click on advanced. The first option should be group messaging and you can change this to use group mms instead of a mass text.
Shows how much I've use a group message lol . thanks for info

Android Messages fails to block texts from group text respondents

I have an s8 (SM- g950U). I have Android Messages and Android Contacts installed instead of native Samsung messaging and contacts. When a client initiates a group text, I need to recieve that text but would like to block all the responses from the others on the group text. I have these numbers blocked but they still come through.
Has anyone else had problems blocking individuals responding to a group text?
