MIUI v5 4.2.21 for Photon Q
GSM build​
Based on CM10.1 by Tquetski and MIUI v5 for Motorola RAZR HD XT925 also by Tquetski without him, I wouldn't be able to port this ROM, thanks for help. Also thanks to Skrilax_CZ, nadlabak, motorowner. Great thanks to MIUIAndroid team for translations.
It's based on Android 4.2.2 cm-10.1-20140219-UNOFFICIAL-xt897.

How to install/upgrade ROM:
0. YOU MUST HAVE UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER AND INSTALLED CUSTOM RECOVERY.
1. Boot custom recovery.
2. Wipe Data/Cache
3. Wipe Dalvik Cache
4. Install ROM
5. After boot, wait couple of minutes and reboot your phone.
6. Enjoy new ROM.

Well, it would be possible, but I can't find any older CM10.1 CDMA build. GSM version is based on build from 2.july.2013

why dont you use one of the cm10.1 release candidates ?

I am working on patchrom MIUI V5, I meet a lot of proplems. Can you help me when october ends? I holp photon q can have Mokee Open Source and MIUI V5...........:laugh:

Because MIUI with new CM10.1 base wont boot. There is some incompatibility I cannot fix.

I have also tried to make patchrom build, but I stucked at making base rom for it. There were some issues with python script. I will look at it when I have more free time, but it wouldnt be anytime soon. So for now there will be only GSM builds as I dont have old CM10.1 CDMA rom.

For this V5, we cannot use the theme, force cancel, but it is much butter than the V4, on V4,we can not use 3G data

Any plans to make this an official MIUI port?

Well, you can port it, but I think it is not worth because:
1) it is really old MIUI
2) it is android 4.1.2
3) it was ported from xt926 which was ported from Galaxy S3, so it would have lot of issues
It is always best to port from official MIUI device, which have base ROM closest to AOSP. Which means Galaxy Nexus.

YES, that's true. It has a lot of issues. Maybe we can try patchrom........On milestone 2, I failed. I can just port from defy. Patchrom is hard. Maybe I will try to port Mokee Open Source and Deepin OS on Photon Q

sorry，i have done this before,there is so many bugs that i can't fix,i don't know a lot of things in programming,but i really let my xt897c running MIUIv4.But the phone keep crashing and u can't change the theme,

But I'm having these issues, is it normal?
- Native browser crashes on open. (Chrome works fine)
- Can't enable root. The permissions app crashes when I try to get to the enable root setting. Tried using motochopper but same problem.
- The screen locker is broken in landscape orientation and can't unlock as the dragger is hidden. See the screenshot.
Other than that it works really good, and battery life is quite OK (lasts a day easily with normal use).

Thanks for feedback. There are still lot of issues, but now I am trying to build new CM base ROM which would be compatible with MIUI.

I wanted something streamlined and easy to use without much customisation, built for myself to use as will be having to reset phone a lot when working on Lollipop custom kernel. But thought I would share if anyone else wanted to use. I have been using ROM for about 12 hours on my device with no issues.
You need to be on latest Lollipop Firmware 5.02, G901FXXU1BOC4 if you need it you can find out how to install here

Please I appreciate the feedback and any ideas for features I am thinking of going down road of having one pure stock bloat free rom NoNonsense and then another crammed with tweaks ie 5 way reboot, call recording, etc.
I will also be working on AOSP ROM as soon as kernel source available as I think that this is the most desired type of ROM for this device.

What version of CWM are you using?
I have flashed 5 times with and without wipe and had no issues.

I'm on 6.0.5.1 (not the chinese one) and also ckecked md5. Will try to reflash cwm.

Not sure I have successfully installed on three different devices all had, Lollipop originally installed with this pit
All three flashed in CWM without any issues,

Will redownload at desktop. First dl was direct with galaxy.

I have just completely reset device, reflashed 5.02 stock with ODIN, flashed CWM and then sucessfully installed ROM.
If you are still experiencing issues, then I suggest the same.

Looks like i must install clean. Redownload won't work. I came from the latest simplegx and installed StockLP with odin before i start flash your rom.

flashed the rom without any problem! only problem after flashing was the root acces, but that could be me, reflashed root and all works.

Installation runs excellent. But i am not able to get root access. Also after reflash CF Autoroot still no root access in apps like root browser. Any Ideas what to do??

That is my unofficial Lollipop TWRP
It's the only one that I know will work.
Just flash TWRP from your current recovery
Then flash Candy5 + GAPPS + SuperSU (Optional)

hello sir. blaze is my main phone . so iwant to keep them updated. about this rom .. in 1st build nothing came out in simcard detection and also package istaller has a major bug. in final release. 2-3mins my simcard has detected but cant send a massage ang cant recieve incincoming calls but also package istaller bug is also there. hope you will fix this soon . more power .. waiting for new release

I don't know what you're saying about the package installer bug, I'm having no issues installing apps, only thing is I can't install too many because we have a tiny data partition.
And blaze is also my main phone and I've been able to send and receive calls and messages just fine, so I don't know why you're having issues.
My only guess is the radio. I had to update the blobs for Lollipop so make sure your baseband is T769UVMB1 (which is the latest one), which is what I'm on.

I can't test because I don't have a data plan but it loaded the page to buy a data plan just fine.

Camera is a blob thing and a known issue. We don't have JB Camera Blobs and our ICS Blobs aren't compatible with Lollipop. We may have to look into using Hercules camera blobs and accept whatever bugs they present for us if they even boot up.

im on philippines so. i use smart simcard. and i really sure that im using the right apn setting. iit might this is a problem. this rom is not compatible with PH carrier ? how to be able works ?

Instructions:
Updating from older version :
Use ota updater to download the latest version of rom and/or dirty flash it
Clean Install :
Download zip and please use the TWRP recovery from this thread.
Do simple wipe (Factory reset) by using TWRP recovery.
Don't do advance wipe
Then flash the Pac zip file.
Go back and select opengapps zip and flash it.
Then go to wipe and do factory reset.
Reboot and enjoy.
Not working:
Camera(fixed in beta 3)
Bluetooth

FOR GOD'S SAKE, MAN! I'm fed enough with this. What's the problem? Why is UI so slow? Why does any rom except stock based are so slow? You should rebuild your sources. Your CM11 and CM13 are like this as well.
Look, I know Adreno 203 is not that powerful, but come on. How can Samsung handle this when you can't?
Maybe you should reconsider using GT-I8552's sources. At least the graphical one.
Also, music stutters on CM11. Governors are buggy when asleep.

Hey have u try build kernel with this https://github.com/ali-filth/android_kernel_samsung_msm7x27a?files=1 kernel source branch cm-11.0? This kernel is design to galaxy core device taken from samsungopensource for gt i826x (not core duos variant) maybe it can be done for Bluetooth and other known issue, and try to compile with GCC 4.7 to avoid random reboot

This IS for galaxy core duos 18262

I dont have my stock rom and my i8262 does not connects to pc. And I wanba install stock rom.so can anyone plz provide nandroid backup for me so I can restrore it from twrp.

This is way more buggy than normal CM13. I HAD to restore to Cosmic ROM because my contacts are gone.

Install it like how you install cm11 . If you don't know how top install cm11,read this carefuly :
Way 1 :
1) Turn off your galaxy Y
2)After boot in the download mode by pressing the three button combination (volume down + home + power button)
3)Connect cable and open ODIN in PC
4)Press Volume UP then . Download Recovery from here and flash it via ODIN (PDA Section)
5)then it will reboot at recovery, In recovery, , format everything in Mounts And Storage menu except sdcard, then go to install ZIP from SDcard, flash the ported ROM (See in download section)
6)Reboot and if everything goes fine, ROM will take 6mins or more to boot
7) Install scripts,then reboot
Way 2 :
1)On stock rom,flash this CWM then flash this TWRP
2)Reboot recovery
3)In TWRP, wipe everything, then mount everything, then flash the rom and reboot

Guys, I need helps from you guys, a bastard steal my ROM and add gapps into it then he said that it's his cm12 ROM, he had to" work hard" to make it work. I said that he's added gapps and the s5 keyboard doesn't work so he remove the keyboard and re-uploaded it. Now, please help me report this post or just give me a screenshot of a working keyboard on this rom. Please. This bastard got this way too far
