Hi,
I am having an odd problem on Carbon ROM, where i cannot receive notifications from Facebook Messenger. Friends are sending me stuff, but i am not seeing it until i manually check Facebook myself. My Moto G has been on many different ROM's, such as Nexus G+, Ehndroix and the stock UK + US ROM's, but i have never had this problem before. It must be something with Carbon ROM that is causing this problem. I have checked the Messenger app to ensure that all notifications and sounds are enabled.
Any suggestions??
Thanks
Can you receive whatsapp messages and other push notifications without a problem?

Yeah, absolutely. I'm able to get notifications from all my apps, other than Facebook! Strange isn't it.

Calls weren't coming through because of it for some reason. Now they do. I only found one other post online about this problem and this was their solution.
Does anyone know why this happens?
It seems that Facebook and Samsung don't play very well together.... this problem AND the contacts not syncing.
Any ideas?
Are you having problems receiving calls while using the facebook app or just having facebook installed on your phone?
Also I'm not seeing the solution, can you re-post the link?
I don't think it's from Facebook
Haven't had a similar issue
Did you check your phone app? Are you auto rejecting calls?
I wasn't using the app when the calls were missed and the solution was uninstalling the Facebook app. I also didn't / don't have my phone set to reject calls.

Hey guys...
I need to text a group in my contacts and I would like to select certain contacts within that group. I used to be able to do this in jelly bean, but can't seem to do it in kit Kat. I know GoSms does it, but I find that app way to heavy and it generally slows down the phone. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Try Textra. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.textra
It is similar to the stock 4.3 messaging app, but does groups.
Thanks for the reply, but with Textra, you can text to a group but you can select certain members of that group. That app is so close to being perfect though. Any other suggestions? This is impossible with hangouts I guess?

Try Smart Messenger.
I'm not sure if you can do what you're describing with Hangouts, but I do know that group SMS in Hangouts are automatically sent as MMS. If you or anyone else you text with gets charged per MMS, that's going to be an issue.

Hi,
Maybe a good programmer could program an app for the sony smartwatch that displays whatsapp on the sony smartwatch 2?
So you can read every whatsapp message and you can reply to them.

QuickReply is your only option, you need a rooted phone for it to work

Everything with QuickReply works except the whatsapp messages. If someone sends me a whatsapp message it doesn't show up on my smartwatch and the QuickReply app force closes itself.. My phone is fully rooted and I have Busybox installed. I can receive sms messages and I can reply to them. Only Whatsapp doesn't work...
Please help me..m

1. Did you enable Accessibility settings?
2. Did you clean app cache?
3. Did you try cleaning dalvik cache?
4. Did you try reinstalling?
I am 100% sure the app works, but these small issues sometime prevents it from doing so.. Also there is a Quick Reply thread here in this forum, make sure you tag me there for any queries !

Hi everyone! So basically... about a month ago I got a new text message (regular default text message) on my Xperia Z3. I went to the text message list, to find there was no unread texts atall. The most annoying part of this is that on my lockscreen it takes up my message (where I could see part/beginning of the text), so when I now get a new text it just says "2 new messages" and never actually displays the text. This has been going on for about a month now and I have just dealt with it, hoping a new update would come out and maybe correct this. Now all of a sudden today....I have received another text! so now there are two texts I can not view or don't even exist. Any ideas? not a major problem I understand, but quite the inconvenience. Plus I could not find anyone else having the same problem online.
Thanks!!
Also, If you need any pictures to help analyse the problem don't hesitate to ask.
Have you tried clearing data and cache for the Messaging app?

It may well do. Use an SMS backup tool from the Play Store first or the phones own?
