i want to made some changes to an apk file..firstly i unzipped the apk file and made changes to it..
but i dont know how to zip it back.. i made a zip by using winrar and 7zip,but it showing me error!!
Please help me out..thanks in advance..

I think an .apk is just a zip file basically so try to zip your files again and change the extension from .zip to .apk
i have tried but the apk file cannot be installed in my phone.
Probably because the file was signed and you did not sign it with the correct key again.
Hello I am trying to create and flashable .zip file that alters just the Audio file. Can I create a zip file that can be flashed on any rom? I want to replace the Audio file with my own in system/media/audio.

If I put the META-INF file into the zip Does that alter the rom META-INF when someone flashes it?

hey guys! i found an easiest way to sign your ROM or Etc file!
F1rst : download the Zip signer Attached to this post
2.)Extract it
3.)Run the zip signer and install...
4.)after install look for Android signer shortcut on your dekstop
5.) Double click on it... and you will see the PPCGeeks Apk And Zip signer aplications...
6.)drag a zip,apk or any other kind of etc file that you want to sign to the PPCGeeks Apk And Zip signer....
7.)click on the sign button and wait for completion... congrats! your zip file is signed! look for your zip file name E.g Update.zip
and Update signed.zip is your signed zip file!
u can also use this to customize your rom without kitchen... add a file to your rom
change build.prop change your boot animation... and then after you done customizing.. sign it with this! enjoyy!

Just want to know this. Because it is really annoying to decompress and recompress apk file again and again just to edit one file inside the apk.

I messed up with my systemui, so I need a flashable zip that can put systemui.apk in system/priv-app/systemui/. Could anyone upload such a zip file? I have my own systemui.apk to replace in zip, just need proper zip file.
