Hello experts.
i have a phablet " galaxy note 8" and another xperia p android
i have a problem
when i walk down the street and i get a call , i have to get the tablet out of my back bag , open the cover , and discover that it is an unwanted call.
and smart watches are ridiculously expensive.
im looking for an app that makes when i get a call on the tablet to see who is calling through the xperia phone ,just like a smartwatch , i think it is doable.
all i need is to see who is calling on the tablet through somthing that easly reachable.
and please do not refer me to any tablet talk or something that connects a tablet to a phone because it doesnt make it the other way around
i want to use the phone to make me see who is calling on my phablet " the phone here is the one that is being used as a smartwatch"
SMSreader is an app that can announce who is calling. If you don't want that then invest in a case with a window and magnet. The phone will display the information in the window without opening it. Otherwise you'll have to find another solution. That or have your calls forwarded to the smaller of your phones

I just ordered my first smartwatch (Sony Smart Watch) for 130 $. I have high expectation, because I believe this got a big potential.
Anyways my question is if there are any browser apps for the smart watch?
i dont know, but can you post here your impression of the smarth watch? I'd love to hear what it is
As far as I know, there currently is no working browser available for the SmartWatch. There are people out there working on it though. I found this app called SmartChrome (hxxp://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rza.liveview.SmartChrome&hl=nl) that should resemble a browser but it does not show up in the list of apps once it is installed so I guess we'll have to wait until this issue gets addressed by the developer of said app.

There is now:
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=se.vaggan.webbrowser
Web browsing is tough enough on a smartphone (I have a Note II and I still find the screen too small!). Try it on your Smartwatch and you'll really appreciate your phone! But yes as the previous poster mentioned, if you must access full websites from your 1.3" 0.016 megapixel watch, WebBrowser for SmartWatch by Vaggan is the way to go.

Hi guys!
I'm looking for a way to "hang up and answer" when I receive a call but already on another one...
(I found that thread in Nexus 4 forums talking about the issue http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2104668)
I think it is a weird thing Android does not support that. My last phone was a Sony Xperia Z and the Sony firmware included that option. Unfortunately, phone was poorly designed and not rootable (bootloader locked by carrier) so I pulled the tigger on Nexus 5 and would be delighted to see that feature coming back.
I would be willing to pay for an app also. if you're aware of one that would solve my problem on Android 4.4 (kitkat)
Thanks.
Check this video, at mark 1:16.
You will see Sony Xperia has the option "End current call and answer"
It's what I would like.
Event the Samsung Galaxy Mega has it

Hey all...
I'm actually using a Galaxy Note 4 in my private time... Now I'm looking for an atleast 7" Tablet (Phablet, what ever) for working business... As I'm not up to date what devices are on the market right now i thought i could ask for help here. I thought about something like the Sony Xperia Z Ultra if i remember right...
The device should at least meet the following speccs:
LTE
~7" Screen
1.5+gb ram
root has to be possible
Android 5+
U got to use it as a phone without using a headset (yeah i know it might look funny to hold an 7" tablet on ur ears )
As for the hardware speccs anything like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 SM-T715 LTE would be nice. But this 8" seems to be a bit unhandy.
I appologize for my bad english and hope for some nice ideas on what to buy
Thnx in advance
I just got my watch today, but it is not able to connect to my Tab S 8.4 LTE... The Gear manager in my tablet cannot find the watch even though it is right next to it. I tried to reboot both devices and turn the Bluetooth off and on, and nothing works. Really Samsung, not even compatible with your own galaxy devices?

This really sucks... My note 4 broke and I didn't want to buy a phone because I have a tablet that can take calls and want to wait for the S8 and the Note 8 next year...

The watch will work with every phone with 1.5 gb of ram and android 4.4 and up. I'm sure you will find a second hand S5 for 100 $ to use it for 3 or 4 months. Then resell it.

Yea, that is probably what I should do now. Good advice, thanks.
I'm in the same boat as you. My primary phone is (and will continue to be) a Tab A with telephony. It won't work with the S3, so I picked up a cheap Android that lives in my desk drawer and is only used on occasions when the watch needs to be paired with a phone.
I run a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 and i had to buy a used Samsung Galaxy S4 mini to pair and configure my Gear S3. What a pity !
Hi!
Any updates on this?
I spent last couple of days trying to pair Gear S3 with Tab 8.4 Pro (SM-T325) running stock kitkat 4.4 - no luck (((
It's such a shame that Samsung doesn't even make an attemp to make their own devices compatible with each other. Was a big surprise for me.
So, did anybody manage to couple Gear S3 with any tablet? If yes, how did you do it?
Hi there.
Will there ever be an option to have 2 different phones paired? I have an iPhone from my work and an Android for my private live. I want to have them both paired (not at the same time)
If this option is never gonna be available, is it possible to script it (rooted)?
Thanks!
Check here http://www.tizenexperts.com/2017/03/samsung-gear-manager-updated-now-supports-auto-switch-function/
your reply does not answer the the question i too was wondering the same , if anyone can help please
I want to buy another smartwatch to replace my good old Gear 2 and there is a lot of choice on the market now.
But if the S3 is able to pair to two phones (not at the same time obviously), the Gear S3 would become my favorite watch to buy.
So can anyone confirm if it works ?
