Flash Kernel: The kernel is the central component of most computer operating systems; it is a bridge between applications and the actual data processing done at the hardware level.

Deodex: Deodexing is basically repackaging of these APKs in a certain way, such that they are reassembled into classes.dex files. By doing that, all pieces of an application package are put together back in one place, thus eliminating the worry of a modified APK conflicting with some separate odexed parts.
In summary, Deodexed ROMs (or APKs) have all their application packages put back together in one place, allowing for easy modification such as theming. Since no pieces of code are coming from any external location, custom ROMs or APKs are always deodexed to ensure integrity.

2) PERFORMANCE:
Clean ROM: Removes all the unnecessary apps from the ROM.Now you can choose which apps do you want to remove.
FuguTweaks:(v0.2) This tweak adds responsiveness on the phone. What it does is replace app_process and system_server binaries.
JIT: Just-In-Time compilation (JIT) is a software component which takes application code, analyzes it, and actively translates it into a form that runs faster, doing so while the application continues to run.
ZipAlign: zipalign is an archive alignment tool that provides important optimization to Android application (.apk) files. The purpose is to ensure that all uncompressed data starts with a particular alignment relative to the start of the file. The benefit is a reduction in the amount of RAM consumed when running the application.
RamHack: Unlocks the full capacity of the RAM.
Data2SD: Data2SD is a script that allows the active data being used by applications to reside on the SD card vs internal memory. Basically it's redirects requests to directories to the same directory on the card. It will allow you to have more active applications and not fill up the phone's RAM or internal storage NAND with data.
APP2SD: App2sd is a utility which automatically moves some/all your data partition to your ext sd partition. So, your internal space is partially/not used.
App2sd-v1: It is the normal app2sd script. This script moves your /data/app/ & /data/log/ to your sdcard's ext partition. It is very fast but your real internal space will be full if you install many apps. This version is not recommended.
App2sd-v2: It is an enchanced version of app2sd, which moves /data/app/, /data/log/ & /data/dalvik-cache/ to your sdcard's ext partition. It is fast and you can install many apps until your internal memory reaches 0mb.. Is is recommended for sdcards class2 - class4.
App2sd-v3: It is an ultra enchanced version of app2sd, which is like data2sd, but you won't have so many lag like data2sd. App2sd-v3 moves /data/app/, /data/log/, /data/dalvik-cache/ & /data/data/ to your sdcard's ext partition. Your internal memory won't be used unless you do install so many apps and your sdcard's partition get full! SDcard class6+ is highly recommended!
Conlusion: If you have class2 or class4 sdcard use App2sd-v2. If you have class6 sdcard use App2sd-v3.

ADDITIONAL APPS: The following are the additional applications provided in the Kitchen.
AdFree: AdFree removes most ads in the browser and other apps. It does this by nullifying requests to known host names in the system hosts file.
BatteryCalibration: Calibration needs to be done after flashing a new ROM, but you can calibrate any time you think your battery is miscalibrated. This program does it by removing the batterystats.bin system file. The OS generates a new clean batterystats file soon, thus any fake information from the previous ROM is removed.
BootanimationUtility: Change Bootanimations from your Galaxy 3
Dimmer: Dim your screen to the minimum allowed brightness with one touch - this is dimmer than 'Display Settings' allows you to go. Great for night time use.
GingerbreadKeyboard: Keyboard from Android 2.3 - Gingerbread
Move2SD: Move your applications to the memory card.
ThemeChanger: ThemeChanger App to change your themes from your Galaxy 3
XDA: The world famous XDA forums formatted for your Android phone! With this app you can browse the forums, read, post, send private messages, and more.

Steps to Setup the Kitchen v2.0
Download the Kitchen.
Download all the BASE ROMS you want in the Kitchen.
Put The .tar file of the base ROM in the Respective Folder in the BASE_ROM folder which is present at KITCHEN->BASIC->BASE_ROM->(BASE ROM VERSION).
Download all the KERNELS you want in the Kitchen.
Put The .tar file of the KERNELS in the Respective Folder in the KERNEL folder which is present at KITCHEN->BASIC->KERNEL->(BASE ROM VERSION).
Download all the DEODEXED Files you want in the Kitchen.
Put the APPS and FRAMEWORK folders of the deodexed files in the Respective Folder in the DEODEX folder which is present at KITCHEN->BASIC->DEODEX->(BASE ROM VERSION).
Download the Missing Apps.
Put the missing apps in the APPS folder which is present at KITCHEN->BASIC->DEODEX->(BASE ROM VERSION)->APPS.
Download all the THEMES you want in the Kitchen.
Put the theme's in the THEME folder in the kitchen which is present at KITCHEN->PERSONALIZATION->THEME.
Download all the BOOTANIMATIONS you want in the Kitchen.
Put the bootanimation's in the BOOTANIMATION folder in the kitchen which is present at KITCHEN->PERSONALIZATION->BOOTANIMATION.
Add all the apps you want to install at KITCHEN->ADDITIONAL->ADD_APS.
Run Kitchen.bat
To Partition Memory Card for Data2SD, Refer The Dark Lestat's Guide. PDF given in download's section.
Note: You need to be in USB Debugging Mode
Note: If you are moving from one theme to another, you are advised to go to stock theme and then the new one, else u may have some apps of the old theme.

still dont see the need for double flashing. there is a bootloader on every device, so people eventually have to flash bootloader to get back i5801 bootscreen, but the rest should be ok by just flashing ddjp2 and then your rom...

To flash ddjp2, eclair has to be first flashed...else jp2 doesnt work...

I had a very tough time to transfer all teh de-oxed apps to /system/app.
Root explorer wasn't getting installed, adb failed to copy files into /system/data (even after i mounted system in read-write mode). Infact the allow/deny super user message neva popped up after installing the root applications like SGS, root un-installer etc..
Can u pls tell me how u got it working?

Copy Paste in memory card....
den in adb after mounting dont exit...
use
rm /system/app/*.apk
rm /system/app/*.odex
cp /sdcard/done_app/*.apk /system/app/

Wifi Tethering working fine. And in terms of Network boost. It's tweaked. Means Enhanced. But not boosted what you've expected. :good:

Thanks for this info. I have a question. Have you tried the Wifi Tethering on you device? I seem to have a problem with mine. I've tried FusionFlare, CherryBlast and your Xperia Z and for some reason when I tether, after a few minutes the device freezes up then I need to take out the battery so that I can reboot. Do you have this problem? Or is it my device thats broken? I havent tried it yet on your ROM that's why I wanted to ask you first on some advice?

I think that's a common bug on some Flare/Karbonn A9+ when you're on JB.
Only way to make it work is to try this rom first. You're lucky if this rom fix your problem or downgrade to ICS.

7. Reboot and Set up the device.
8. Flash supersu v1.94
9. Flash Aircommand.zip (Needed to Activate Aircommand features)
10 Reboot and Enjoy
11. (Flash ROM Resources v3.0 in case you want all mods as flashable zips). This will create ROM Resources folder in your internal sd card where all mods in flahsable zip format are stored.

6. Reboot.
7. Setup your device.
8. Flash supersu.zip
9. Flash Phantom ROM Resources. This will include "ROM Resources" directory in your internal sd. It contains my mods as flashable zips with options to restore to stock too.

Some tips to save battery life (Thanks wanam):
1) Disable auto sync for accounts if you don't need them. Syncing kills!!
2) Disable GPS and enable it only when you want to use it.
3) Disable auto backup for Gmail account.
4) Set brightness level to automatic.
5) Disable motion if you don't use it from developer options in settings.
6) Check your apps settings and disable useless background sync
7) Use autoStart app or Startup manager to disable un-needed app from automatic startup on boot. It will also make the startup time faster.
8) If you are facing battery juicing, use better battery stats app to find out what application preventing your phone from getting to deep sleep and find out the different types of wake locks.
9) Remove apps you don't use.
10) Enable "Power Saving Mode" from Settings
11) Use "Deep Sleep Batter Saver pro" app from the play store and set the mode to "aggressive", or use "Battery Doctor" app to extend battery life
