Please help me, I don't know what to do any more.
I have a Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 and since an update to kitkat 4.4.2 I have a very weird problem with the tone.
Randomly without any reason it stops. No notifiaction tone, no ringtone, no lockscreen tone, no more tones at all. After rebooting the device everything functions well again. I have tried to test the receiver and speaker with *#0*# and it works fine. As soon as the tones stop and I try the test again it doesn't.
I have tried several factory resets, I have flashed original samsung firmware, I have flashed different roms (my device is rooted and I use philz recovery).
I have tried to search the web, but after weeks of trying I still didn't find any answers.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE if anybody could help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all,
I'm in desperate need of help. Everything in my HTC pico is working fine except for call receiving and dialing. If I call someone with the speaker ON then they can hear me clearly & I can hear them too. But when I call someone with speaker OFF, it initially shows that its dialing but after few seconds it returns to contact list. If somebody tries to call me they get my line busy or sometimes gets connected but the caller is unable to hear me clearly. I've tried custom roms as well but issue remains. As of now I'm using Europe Stock ROM and my phone is rooted with bootloader unlocked. My phone is S-On, would that be the cause or something?? Is my phone locked for a particular network and if it is then how can I sort this out. Any advise and suggestions are welcome, many thanks.

Dude it seems to be a hardware issue. And its nothing to do with S-on.
Seeing to that u have tried installing different rims without sucess,u should probably head for the service centre.

Try flashing other roms iff problems persist go to service center it may be a hardware problem so they repair it!
Thanks very much for your suggestions. It's working now apparently, I'm using Europe stock rom. I'll install the custom rom and then see how it behaves. Thanks once again.
I was using stock rom and the problem seem to be solved but once i installed the custom rom CM10 for htc pico then it got worse. I reverted back to stock rom and again the problem. Having said that, none of my headphones work when i insert it into the headphone jack. I think that's the root which is causing problems.
I'll try a bluetooth device and see what are the results. Any suggestions for a bluetooth device that will not only used for calls but also for music etc.

I have an at&t samsung galaxy s3 and i flashed hyperdrive rom (RLS16) one week ago and i just realized that when people are calling me, sometimes I can answer them, and sometimes i'm not receiving calls. When i receive calls, the vibrator and the ringtone are not working... also, I tried to go to my voicemail several times by holding 1 button or *81 and it's not working.. I love this rom but i need my phone to work ! What can i do ? thanks a lot !

I have a major issue, im not sure what to do.
a have a GT-I9300, all of a sudden my speaker like muted some how when i try make a call or receive a call.
the dialer makes the beep that the call is being made, but theres just no sound, even if i try put on the loudspeaker, no sound comes through.
however, i can make calls with viber, line and skype, they all work properly, the mic is also working well.
ive rooted the phone, installed a custom rom, reflashed it to stock with odin, and nothing happens.
its just the same, i dont know what to , i need some help. ive also tried connecting headphones, its all the same.. no difference.
i dont understand why its only when i try call out and receive. everything else works properly.
Please help
This is very unusual..
Try to flash a stock rom and than do the Return To New command ##RTN# ##786#.. this should format the phone and ofcourse deletes everything on it so be sure to save your data.
That's all I could think of to do.

I had seen the same issue on s3 once before. there will be no sound for calling( including earpiece), music , notification etc..
what I found was a culprit sound recording app which was causing the problem. I dont know what will be urs problem but first of all check for any audio related app.

This seems like a common Samsung problem but I have not yet seen a fix! It happened once on my mums GS3 (GT-i9300) and also on my friend's GS4s (He has 2)

My stock Samsung Galaxy s4 had no call sound at all, people couldn't hear me, and I could not be heard. I decided to root the device and try some custom ROMs however there has only been a decline in the circumstances. Now the Phone has no sound at all, notifications, any sort of app, or in call volume, I can still also not be heard. I've trie to flash a couple fixes via Odin and TWRP, to which I've had no success. I'm still rather new at this so any an help is appreciated. I'm presently running cyanogenmod, If yu have any input that could help please speak up!

Quick question for you guys.
I had my Galaxy S7 for nearly 2 years but only recently (past few weeks) it started making a very annoying popping/crackling sound when playing any sorts of media content both streamed or download. I did some research about this and unfortunately I haven't been able to find an answer. Some people mentioned an ARC app or Skype to be the culprit. Some others even say that it's the WiFi during standby that creates the problem. I honestly tried everything including factory reset, whole system reinstallation, safe mode etc but nothing works, the annoying popping sound still happens whenever I watch or listen to something and it can be heard from the speaker and wired earphones.
Anybody who's got any knowledge or has experienced the same problem could you please share your views/experiences as this is driving me mad?

PS it doesn't seem to happen during phone calls...yet! At the moment running latest PHN firmware. All stock. Model G930F
i had same problem but only in android 6.x, on nougat all is fine
same probleme here i have stock nougat rom
Thanks for your feedback guys...I'm assuming it's the firmware's problem. I guess I'll wait for Oreo and see whether it gets fixed
