Hey guys,
I recently purchased my Droid ultra and I'm loving it. The only thing is that every time I hit software update it tells me that there's no software update available.
As you can see I'm probably on the version of the software that came out of the box.
I know that on Nexus phones you could force the update by going to setting and clearing cache of Google services framework. Is there a similar way to force an update on this device?
Stock / not rooted
Thanks for your help guys.
Ps. I'm on straight talk... Dunno if this makes a difference or not.

This XDA Premium apps is getting into my nerve. It keeps on quiting the apps every time i press BACK soft-button while inside thread. I email the dev team twice n no response at all. Feels like donate rather than bought premium apps. I understand that ICS may cause apps incompatibility but this whole poor support is beyond my limit. Is it only me that facing this problem?
Note: i try to install the free version and getting the same behaviour.

They released yesterday a compatible version.
May i know what is the latest version? I didn't get any apps update.
Hello everyone. I I decided to be nice and update my girls phone tonight. Big mistake. Updated to the ICS, and it turned out to be a mistake. The phone is incredibly slow now. Its not rooted. It was fine before this. Native messenger isn't working at all, just saying please wait. Installed go SMS Pro, that works. She is dead against me rooting this, so not really an option. Is there anything I can do to get this phone running smoothly? Thanks in advance.

So I'm on a Verizon non dev edition moto X running stock 4.4.2. The network got released yesterday and I am unable to stream anything from it. The app crashes every time I try.
I've dealt with the customer support and they transfer me, and I get disconnected.
Anyone have any ideas? Anyone get it working on 4.4.0?
I'm having the same issue with my 2013 Nexus 7. Early yesterday the app was causing my device to reboot, now the app just force closes, so I guess progress is being made.

I'd say early release jitters. I didn't even see videos on the site. I'd say give it a week to iron out the kinks.

Thanks to reddit, this is fixed. Turns out it doesn't work with ART. switched back to Dalvik and it's all good.
recently I notice that my camera wouldn't focus and I think it started happening after the latest update.
everything was working great before and never had an issue. any ideas?
The latest camera update our android update? Try clearing data and cache for the camera app. If that doesn't work try another camera app.
Edit: Typo

I meant I am using all the latest software.... All updates were installed.
I tried clearing the cache... Downgrading the camera app, installed various camera apps and same result.
I also did a factory reset.

...and the glass covering the lens is not smudged?
Glass is clean, very clean actually, never used the device without a case and the glass usually wouldn't touched any surfaces directly.

You could try downgrading to another version of android by flashing the stock image. If that doesn't work I think there may be a hardware issue.

I tried going back to 4.4.2 when I know it worked but it didn't work with the downgrade.
I called Google and they will send another device... Factory refurbished... I'm skeptical about that thou, should I be?

Download another camera app and see if you have the same issue. If you don't, then it's just the software and not a problem with the camera itself.
Hel already mentioned that he tried many camera apps all with the same result.
@op No, I think the new device will be just fine. Don't worry about it.

I recently bought a Galaxy Gear Live and was excited to use it with S health on my Galaxy S5. Turns out, though samsung claimed they would update their software to be compatible with their watch, it still isnt. Not a problem, though. I thought i would still use the google fit app, as its an android wear device. Turns out my phone isnt even compatible with the google app?? Im not sure what to do as both company apps are not supported. Any ideas?

Just because it says it's incompatible doesn't mean it won't still work on your device. You could download the apk and attempt to install, worse case scenario is it won't work

Tried that now, it seems to glitch my phone and freezes it. Also, i just found out other S5's ARE compatible.

That's very odd. Normally Sprint phones are pretty flexible with most apps. Is your S5 on kk or LP?
