yup thats right..

You should post the features and download link in here too. More people will look at it because the information of the kernel is included.

is there a way to get dt2w and s2w working permanently? i need synapse to load and it takes time and manually enable them under sys/android_touch didn't work.
and i get fc when trying to change cpu governor to msm dcvs.
other than that the kernel works flawlessly and is flying (17774 on AnTuTu)

You can edit it in sys/customization/android touch something like that i think. then edit the d2w and s2w. change both to 1

use synapse..MSM Governor is just like a Dummy Governor..do not use it..else your phone will be unstable..you can permanently enable DT2W and S2W from synapse..have you read the preface message from the app??it will save your preferred setting and have to be able to stay stable within 20 seconds for synapse to remember it..upon reboot just wait for Synapse to fully load your settings and you have it automatically enabled..
can someone here confirm that your chip can go 1.8Ghz..well never saw a someone go within that range also as far as documentation from Qualcomm is concerned the Snapdragon 400 Cortex A7 SOC can just go up to 1.7Ghz..
Edit:
here's a soooooo much silent Community..

i think there is an app called syslog..in google play that can help obtain logs..AFAIK it also needs root..

I think there was a kernel for cm that could go up to 2ghz

Need testing ill do them? I'll pull syslogs

I think it is time for you to become Recognized Developer or at least Recognized Contributor, since you've done so much for this phone here on XDA. Just go here and fill the form for Recognized Developer. But if you just want to become Recognized Contributor, you can write a PM to any of the Senior Moderators, adn they can promote you. You just need tell something about your work and provide the links.
Good luck!
I have been in CM10.1 used 3.4 kernel, but there are too many BUG needs to be repaired. For example: the battery, the sound. . . . . .

Is this regular HTC 3.4.10 release or CAF kernel? If it's CAF that will take 10 years to make it run properly.
Meanwhile, HTC released newer 3.4.10 source, look for villec2-jb-crc-3.4.10-5800eac.zip at htcdev.com. Readme file is newer and it compiles normally with gcc 4.6 (which older didn't).

Use villec2-jb-crc-3.4.10-5800eac.zip because htc_acoustic_8x60.c is changed which probably means sound bug is fixed.

Disable sim pin lock before flashing! It's known to be broken on other devices and would cause your simcard to be locked permanently (you would need to order a new one).

Hi!
First of all, thanks for your work! But I couldn't get into the rom, it's stuck on the boot logo every time.
Could be selinux related. I didn't disable it, to see if baseband is working with it.
Can you get me a logcat please? Then I'll upload a new one in few hours (hopefully)
Keep in mind, I don't own this device. Without logs, nothing is going to happen

Nameless boots & so does Archi and they are based on CM. Didnt check to see if baseband was working I can try if your interested. (maybe i should compare radio logs so it may be a good idea)
I have Omni booting and Slim though.. they have no baseband as yet. I've tried this : https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/c/10593/ with a few other things but no luck yet.

You were taking this log, while you have been in the bootloop of my rom? If so, how did you flash it? There were some logs which seemed to be caused by touchwiz stuff.
Please format system, wipe data, and then reflash just the rom, without gapps.
If it still fails to boot, get me another log.

transparent file streaming. meaning no buffer time. it's as if you're accessing the file in your internal storage. useful for streaming large files (like HD films) from your computer.
someone please correct me if I'm wrong though.

It doesn't mean no buffer time but it essentially means that any app can access it and you don't have to rely on per-app support.
Buffer time is also usually lessened.
This really looks promising, gotta give a try. Thanks, man

thanks for the explanation.
I seem to recall if I use apps like es file explorer to access videos on pc, I'd have to wait until the full file being transferred to the device (I assume some sort of local temporary file would be created), and then only the video starts playing. however with cifs this was not the case. the video would just play normally as if it was located in the phone storage. note that this was my experience a couple of years back though.
Isn't the kernel the source for the knock on feature for waking up or closing the screen?

Awesome work! thanks!,
Would it be possible to add some I/O Schedulers, like BFQ and such? and maybe faux sound?
That would be super epic if possible!
If someone could provide the boot.img or zip to flash that would be highly appreciated. I flashed the development kernel from the other thread and I'm getting a few random reboots.

To be fair. I think it may have been my deadline scheduler changes that caused the issue. Changed back to bfq and now OK.
Regarding using this kernel, I'm used to recovering from boot loops, blank screens etc etc. I have no issue testing beta/alpha stuff and appreciate the risks

Build the same kernel, but swap the ramdisk. Having a published kernel doesn't ban you from asking questions in the kernel development thread. There is no point trying to reinvent the wheel when you could be driving.

[ROM][WIP] LineageOS 14.1 visi0nary's builds

Hey,
since @HridayHS seems to have stopped working on LOS 14.1 I decided to continue and finish his work. Unfortunately I don't own the device so I am very dependent on you guys as testers at this point.
Below is a first build linked that was just freshly built but I have no idea if it even boots (it should though). Please test it and report back. Thank you!
What's working:
-> nothing
What's not working:
-> The builds do *NOT* boot yet! Thus I removed the download links for now to avoid confusion.
Downloads:
MOD EDIT: Removed link to broken, untested builds.
The first boot will take quite a long time as I disabled compile-time optimizations for now. I will include them in later stages of development again but first I wanna have a working image
If it boots, great! Test everything and let me know what works and what does not. If it does *not* boot please post a last_kmsg and logcat if possible

I was wondering about the same but I guess it's due to missing optimizations (dex2oat will run on first bootup and not at compile time).
Edit: You might still be right. Something's wrong with the vendor folder... Let's see...

Ok, when I get home to flash it, I never cast any mobile kernel with trebble and partitioned A / B, so I read it has a new toolchain, the commands to compile are the same as for x64 ?, thanks to beforehand, Salu2

Just flashed the zip in twrp then flashed magisk over the top
I dont get IT. I did exactly the same and the Phone soft bricked and booted to bl.
Flashed the kernel, for me it's bootlooping into the bootloader i think i missed something
EDIT: Flashed Magisk 16.4 over it, now it could boot. Got a message: " Internal problem with device, contact the phone manufacturer" or something like that. It's buggy as hell. First boot i could unlock without any issue, but after i locked and try to unlock it reboots.
