just as the title says. i want to know how to flash a modem.
i want to use the file that comes with my stock rom, not a zipped file.
i havent found this question for this phone.
so i might as well ask it.
i want to flash nexesque and then flash this to see if i get good signal and what not.
since flashing that and then a gsm patch didnt work so good for me.
is this possible or would it work?
and also would the modem work if i used a kit kat rom?
or if there is a thread with all the modems then please link me to it.
also i am on TELCEL Mexico just to mention.

Hi,
I was having wifi issues after flashing multiple stock roms, and kernels. So, in a fit, I decided to repartition and start fresh. I know, it wasn't my brightest moment. Any way, the thing is, all the roms that I have, comes with only the pda file.
Now, I need any stock firmware with modem and csc files, so that I can get my phone back. Any firmware that comes with these two files will do. I can't download multiple firmware to check as my connection speed is 256 kbps only. I would prefer if someone can help me get these files.
Also, if someone can tell me, whether I will need a new bootloader too? If yes, then where can I find the same.
Many thanks!!!
XXKPE comes with all the files. Use that.

Thanks a lot, buddy. Will download it and check it out. Hopefully wifi works after this, or else I will be screwed. Just got my warranty expired too.
Yay! My phone is back to stock, and wifi works too.:victory: Mods, please close this thread.
Has anyone here tried a G900T ROM on their G900P? I'm curious whether this can be used to enable wifi calling.
(Just the system zip, not bootloader/kernel/modem, of course). I recall reading a thread on cross flashing with all kinds of info on doing this but I can't for the life of me find it again.
Am rooted and have TWRP.
Thanks!

Yes, you can flash any snapdragon g900 rom on any snapdragon g900 device. Late response, I know, but just in case you were wondering or if anyone else stumbles across this
if you do get a rom to work successfully, you should post up the steps you took!
Finally had some time to get back to this and can't find TWRP flashable zips of recent ROMs... (PG2/1.) Well, not quite. I found a PG2 near stock pre-rooted and deodexed, but it gives zip verification errors when trying to flash despite the MD5 being right.
Guess I'll shelve it again until I can find a decent, recent pre-rooted T-mobile zip. :-/
Just got a note edge for verizon but was wondering if it can be flashed with other us carrier variants after being turned into developer version.
Yes you can, since a dev edition now. YMMV depending on the rom. I have a USC and often use Verizon based ROMs, but TMO ROMs work too. Might need some trials & good luck ? edit :beware flashing odin based roms, can relock or brick... !

what you mean with dev edition .my phone from verizon can i do it
I thought u said u had already converted to Vzw dev edition. If yes then follow cook directions for the rom u want. Example if it says Requires MM baseband then make sure you have the Verizon mm bb. Them flash your rom (twrp is standard nowadays) . typically u need a good kernel,so if rom doesn't have one or it's not working make sure u have a compatible version to flash from recovery. My N.E. is finicky w/ kernels. I currently use AKLU on Nougat AOKP ROM, by @AlaskaLinuxUser (very talented) . I recall LineageOS was alright, but something I didn't like? On MM I always had to flash Emotion-TW-stable-MM-r26-RC1-SM-N915 p or f (can't remember) after rom flash. I think I have posted somewhere on xda about this.
If I am not remembering correctly (YOU DONT HAVE DEV ED/? Bootloader) this is extremely dangerous! Always be cautious with any rom that needs to be flashed with Odin. These almost always have Bootloaders inside and will undo your dev edition mod, perhaps even brick phone. Regardless I would find the thread around here on Making a unbrick/debrick image just in case.
Its allot of trial and error really. Everything you need to know is in the threads somewhere. I'm so scatter brained IDK if anyone could understand if I do write a guide.
EDIT*** Iwas originally referring to @zidemizar post.He followed another thread converting his VZW into a VZW Dev Edition therefore his is unlocked! Beware if u haven't ?!

if it bricked can i return it back
So... i install an "update" MM for 6039 but at the end of the update I realized that the rom was only a sim and also did not connect the 4g so I decided to return to my previous rom (LineageOS 13) but the problem was still so I decided to use mobile upgrade, I finish the download, I installed it correctly and when I started the stock rom I realized that the problem was still going on !! I honestly do not know what I can do to solve it, please someone who knows something or who can help me. I would be eternally grateful to have helped me :crying::crying::crying:
Sounds like the phone does not have the correct modem installed.
Try to find the original modem files for your phone.

I only find zip modems files to 6045 I do not know if they will work on my 6039 but I will try anyway
thanks for comment
Title says it. I messed up the one I have. If someone could upload it, I could use that instead.
Otherwise, I'd have to flash a firmware. Maybe flashing a ROM would change it as well, but not sure about that.
So, if anyone who uses a stock-based ROM could make that file available, I'd really appreciate it.
