Yes, a blob, system file which is used by 'wheelie' and nvflash to flash the phone.

QHUSB-DLOAD mode cause flashed wrong ROM

Hello all,
I'v already seen alot of ppl with same problem as i have but didnt find any proper solution yet
I'v by mistake flashed IceColdJelly ROM on my HTC one x rogers, i know its a noobish mistake,
but i've learned to read carfully about what i'm flashing....
I know there is a way to flash the hboot back to a right partition using linux , while device is in emmc mode,
but i dont know which mmcblks it flashed to.
PLs if it possible someone can direct me with the right commands in linux and what files i need to replace.
i'll appreciate any help
Probably should have learned to read carefully before flashing huh...
I don't know the solution but if you actually search you'll find the answer. It's been covered already.
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda premium
we should make a thread in our forum called icecoldjelly with big letters saying not to flash it. noobs might see our thread first instead of the roms thread and end up not flashing it.
Dunno man.. can't really guard against ignorance can ya :banghead:

how can someone mistakenly flash a rom thats NOT in the AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL forum
People are googling HTC one x Roms, then get links from onexroot.com and other sites that don't clarify any difference between devices, flash, brick, post a new thread w/o reading:banghead:

[Q] mount the usb in recorvery, then format the harddisk.----brick

Help!
I find that my att hox can't link to the pc, then I mount it with PC, it shows that it have a disk letter but can not be recognized.
I made a big mistake, I format it using the pc...then flash a rom in it.
after that ,I can't turn on it ,and can't get in fastboot.
But when I mount it to my pc, it shows "QHSUSB_dload"
What should I do?
What Rom did you flash?

I have upgraded from my 2.3.6 gingerbread to 4.0.4 and I have installed atrix 2 bootloader just to install CWM, but when it required to reboot, I did reboot my atrix 2 and it never been able to load up the phone. I tried to use RSDLite to flash back to 2.3.6 by using this 1FF-olympus-user-2.3.6-4.5.141-111212-release-keys-signed-ATT-US-GAS_NA_OLPSGBATTSPE_P012.sbf but it said "Unable to retrieve interface handle".
I have no idea how can I get my Atrix 2 to work again, can you all please help over this issue?

Okay so basically you need to flash it back to the 4.0.4 with the fastboot file for 4.0.4 and rsd 6.

[Q] One X Hard Bricked

Ok, so I tried flashing cyanogenmod on my phone and ended up with what i believe to be a hard brick... I'll go through what I did, and I guess if there is any way to reverse this and return it to working condition, I would greatly appreciate this information. First, I used the exploit found in the all-in-one kit so that the bootloader could be unlocked officially by HTC. After getting my bootloader unlocked via the file sent to me by HTC, I flashed my cwm via fastboot. Everything seemed to be working fine at this point; the phone would boot into both the rom and the cwm. I rebooted the phone and flashed the boot image found in the cm rom I was flashing on my phone. I rebooted once again, erased the cache and dalvik, and then attempted to flash the rom. It was unsuccessful the first time due to failed asserts. I had previously been able to simply edit the build.prop file and remove the asserts on other android devices to correct this problem, so I attempted to do this. I tried again to flash the rom, which began installing, and then resulted in the phone turning off. I am sure that this has everything to do with my editing of the file, but I am just wondering why it did not work this time, and if there is a way to correct this without expensive hardware. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

It's not responsive to anything now... I realize the device probably won't make a recovery at this point due to my lack of knowledge and resources, but I guess I'm more wondering why exactly this happened, for future reference. I mean, if there is a way to fix it that would be awesome, but yeah, the screen and buttons wont turn on, and when its plugged in the charge LED does not come on either. My computer can still recognize the phone though in the device manager, but it is called Qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008, and there is not an obvious way (to me) to access the files on the internal SD.

When you plug it in does it show charge light? And what is the file name you flashed? You should only download roms from here if it was a quad core Rom it overwrote the partitions and totally bricked it. Also plug it into a Windows pc and tell me what it's trying to install drivers for if it tries to install qhsusb drivers your dead in the water and need jtag or send it to HTC for about 200$ to have mainboard replaced.
