Everytime I'm doing a pano, I get dropped frames or I'm not sure if it is the right definition.
Does not matter what app I'm using, I use the native camera or Camera FV5 to lock the focus.
You're not getting a reply because this is a (Question) and it's in the wrong section.

Just realized this phone doesn't have time lapse video recording. A bit disappointing but oh well. Any recommendations for apps that can do this?

You mean time lapse photo? Like when you set a camera up pointed at the night sky and you end up with a photo with the stars leaving trails?
I didn't know cell phones could do that. I'd be interested in that app.

It was on my nexus an I thought it was supposed to be apart of ICS. It's found under the video recorder. Check it out.

I thought this was Samsung's version of the ICS camera/video app, which might explain why we don't see the native ICS time lapse setting for video recording. Why they would not allow for that is anyone's guess.
There's a number of apps in Play which do time lapse recording, though.

Try lapse it.

I've just emailed a portait photo to my work email account, however on arrival it's now landscape and needs to be rotated 45 degrees!
What's the deal with this? On the screen of the phone it's portrait, and was taken portrait.
I've just got a Nexus 5 replace my Galaxy S4 but I never had this issue with the S4. I guess the S4 knows if a photo is taken portrait or landscape and deals with them occordingly, whereas the Nexus 5 doesn't
Any ideas how to fix this?
It's not just email. I have the same issue with MMS and Instagram. It appears the camera app isn't encoding the file correctly.

Weird! Let's hope for a fix. In the meantime I am not using HDR just in case I want to send it.
Coming from a Galaxy S3, the only thing I miss about my old phone compared to Nexus 5 is the camera app / functions.
One feature in particular is the ability to pause the video recording and resume recording the same file. On Nexus5 I have to record numerous short videos and then stitch them to a final video. I gave Camera Awesome a try and it looks great for taking photos, but it doesn't have the pause video recording functionality.
Anybody tried a decent camera app that has this specific function ?
Anybody ?
This cannot be a Samsung only feature, I'm sure I have seen it on other phones
Google is working on a fix for the camera, I would just wait for that. It should be soon.

The change in backgorund noise is not very apperent to me since the nexus 5 volume is higher.
For the noise problem,
Maybe try to record in a quite zone without elecronic devices near.
Maybe you should try to change you phone runtime to ART\dalvik.
Good luck

I will be going to a concert in May. Since I have been to 1 concert already while owning this phone I noticed that recording video is a nightmare on the Audio part. It sounds really bad. My question, is there any 3rd party app that will do a better job? Or is this just how the phone is? I came from the HTC EVO 4G and while the audio wasn't perfect it was a a lot better than what the Nexus 5 can do.
I am stock and not rooted.

video software question!
With extended compatibility that covers many websites and file formats, All Video Downloader is the download option of choice for videos. Because it's done in dribs and drabs, however, the number of simultaneous downloads allowed is very limited. It's also worth noting that the software is at times unable to download some videos. During our test, an error message appeared several times when trying to download a video.
