S5 music doesn't work on Note 3. Let delete S5 music first and copy stock music into system/app

are you rooted? if yes then download Root Manager and do with it. if not rooted first root your phone.

We need a link to the stock music app I did not make a backup to the original one so unless I have the apk I will have to flash the rom again so please provide us a link

While i was fiddling with some apps through Titanium backup i deliberately wiped stock music player app. I do have a backup(done via Titanium Backup) of the same but i cannot restore it the way i backed it up. Can someone please help me to get the apk file of Samsung Stock music player app... ?
And also the method through which i can install or restore it in working condition ? Any help will be appreciated.

Delete odex file of music player app if exists.
Flash it in recovery. If it doesnt get installed then extract the apk file and install it like normal apk or push it to system/app/ and set permissions.

Use any root explorer (say solid explorer)
Go to root folder -> system -> app
there you will find MusicPlayer.odex file. delete it.

You just need to copy and paste the apk file from your sdcard to system/app folder.
here is about how you set permissions
In this case you need to set permissions as 0644 (-rw-r--r--)
P.S. Flashing the zip file i attached will do everything. Manual procedure is just incase if it doesnt work.
I flashed it through CWM although it plays the song but none of the sound effects are working... and the player itself keep crashing once in a while.
Are you also using the same version of that ? Is this compatible with our SGR?

Yes I am using the same. For me it crashes only when i press 'End' button in options. Else it works flawlessly. For you It is crashing oftenly may be because you didnt delete odex file! Equilizer doesnt works, it is a known bug. Visit this thread.
If you dont like this S3 music player. i can upload stock one also!
SGS3 music player is great. I was using it for a while on ICS.

I wanted that stock player for Equalizer only if it won't work then its of no use to me. I uses Galaxy Tab 2 which has the same music player as SGS3 and i really like its Equalizer very much but i can't use tab for my music needs everywhere, that's why i wanted it in my SGR.
Anyway could u please upload Stock Music player of Galaxy R ?

Not working for me too.
if you desperately need that music player only, then you need to reflash rom.
else you could also give a try to MiUi Music player. Equilizer works flawlessly and Music player is awesome.

Flashing the ROM is the last thing i'd do coz i'm too lazy to do all that backup and restoration thing. I'd try this Miui player.. thanks for that

it wasnt mentioned hence i took 2 logcats
1) during pushing file to system only (logcat1) (ignore following if this is sufficient)
2) first one followed by reboot (logcat2)

I don't seem to have a media controller app on my Gear 2 (yes I've looked everywhere) and i can't install it from the samsung app store ad i am not using a samsung device.. I am using a Xiaomi Mi3.. Everything else works perfect.. Just want to be able to control my phone music through the gear.. Please help! If anyone can extract and give me that app for me to put it in.. Thanks!

I have media controller app on my gear2. But, not working on my Sony Z Ultra phone.
Now, I am using Ultimate Music Control app from Samsung app.
Can't you install Samsung Apps as in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2723862 ?
I want to share the .wgt file, but Samsung App changed to Samsung Gear Apps and anyone know where it keeps the .wgt files?

I tried that method but since i have a MIUI Xiaomi phone, whenever i change the build prop file it refuses to boot and without that i can not install the smasung app.. that is the problem i am facing...
Would be great if you find the .WGT of that app and some other good usefull ones! Would love you for it

during my search for a s8 launcher i discovered that the s browser apk from the Enigma Rom V3 works fine on stock android devices. So if you like the touchwiz browser, here you go. This has been tested on a Oneplus 2 (Stock MM 6.0.1).
Installation

There is no way to get the music app on stock android. The music app and the touchwiz framework work together so it crashes on startup. I can give you a samsung apps apk tough. But you will have to bypass the 'this is no galaxy phone' somehow (But it starts just fine if you give it all permissions it asks)
