Bad S-Pen connector! - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys just wondering if anyone knows the cheapest place to get a new N-8013 motherboard. I had it serviced a few months back and they replaced the motherboard and they broke the S-Pen connector on the motherboard. So my tablet doesn't read the spen on screen at all..

Cracked screen repair?

Someone in my house was careless and knocked over a monitor, landing on my beautiful 700 screen
There is no Asus authorized tablet repair shop in my area. Has anybody had any luck getting one fixed?
I'm hoping to not be on the hook for the full $500...

we are lucky the replacement parts are not expensive. my friend cracked his galaxy s 3 screen, the part is 300$!!! that half the price of a new one :crying:

Replacement screen?

I unfortunately dropped and broke the screen on my phone. Is this all I need to replace it? http://www.etradesupply.com/oem-htc-one-s-glass-lens.html
Unfortunately no. The screen and digitizer are fused together. I've seen some talk about ways of separating using heat but there's a high failure rate busting the digitizer too. I'm in the same boat. Actually deciding to bite the bullet or wait for Nexus 4 to come in stock.

Broken screen. Wat do?

Dropped my phone getting out of my SI. It was on my lap. Case on it. Cracked the glass. What do i do? Would google repair it Or lg? Any idea on price? Or Would taking it to a cell phone repair shop be cheaper?
My digitizer and lcd are fine. Just shatterd the glass.
Any good tips/tricks to get me thru till Its fixed?
Still have on the screen protector. Would taking it off makes the digitizer brake?
Any info is helpful.
Pretty bummed it happened. It broke my damaged phone cherry, So to say. Hahaha.

Check the prices. I'd say the local repair shop will be cheap.

Firstly,go to your local repair shop and check the prices yourself.Screen repairs are often expensive,it can cost you 1/2 price of the phone itself.Well... If you can live without this phone, buy a new phone instead

Lg or Google is the best bet.
First of all. The glass is the digitizer. Same part. And the LCD and digitizer are fuzed. You need to replace the entire front panel. That part alone is roughly $130 to $150usd. Lg charges 150 usd. A shop would still need to buy the part.

Look on Youtube for an iFixit video/tutorial if it is available yet. Here`s a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPuCmfhzgbg for instance.
I've seen many how-to videos on screen replacement. I would def try to do it myself.

Screen or Digitiser replacement?

Hey guys, I managed to smash my screen with a drill.. They were both on my wall when I was working on my motorbike and I nudged the drill and it ripped over and smashed the side of my phone casing a spiderweb crack. Gutted.
The touch input now doesn't work. i'm having to use an OTG cable, usb hub and a usb mouse and keyboard to do anything.
I don't really have the spare money to send it in tyo be fixed so I was thinking of replacing it myself, now, I don't know if I should buy just the front glass or the glass/screen assembly?
I know I'll loose the waterproof cababilities but It'll be a cheap fix for now.
Anyone have any ideas?
tHanks in advance, guys!

I've seen this being done on a z2.
I believe changing both is your only option. Making it look decent with a home repair without changing the display also will be hard.
Seems like the plan.
I may just try and accumulate the 100 pquid excess and have a new one shipped next working day.
Just kinda skint ATM :/

Over here glass + digitiser + display are about 100gbp I think.
Ah, may aswell just go through insurance, then!
A guy from a shop near me said the cheapest shop around would be like 125 quid, and I'd lose my waaterproofness.
be daft not to go through my insurance, really!
Thanks, guys!

Digitizer swap

Hello
Does anyone have any knowledge of using a different tablet glass digitizer. I have an ainol novo 10 hero ii and replacement screens cost more than its worth. I can get a cheap screen with same 10 pin ribbon connection and fit it, but I'm wondering how the software side will be.
Cheer
