Voice recording with Χperia L - Sony Xperia L

Hi,
I would like to record an upcoming meeting. I have download some apps but all of them have the same issue. Unless I put my mouth in front of the mic, the recording is not audible. Is this something I can fix? Is this a problem with the device (ver. 4.2.2).
(My phone is new.)

You should've told that earlier which version of CM7.2?
Also have you wiped everything before flashing CM?
Probably you just have to reflash or flash another, more stable version
Did you try another camera app?

Vertical blur lines in Snapchat?

Anyone getting strange vertical blurred lines when recording snapchat video? It only occurs in low light settings. When I record video from my camera app these lines do not appear. It is pretty annoying.
Did you figure out a fix by any chance? Mine does the same thing on the same phone.
Also having the same issue.
Big blur line from top to bottom, in the middle of the screen.
Also visible in the recorded video :/
** just installed the latest snapchat there, 4.1.05 and no longer have this issue
** spoke too soon, still having this issue !
Same here :/ any fix?

i just flashd the Stock Google Play Edition ROM that was posted in the Development forum to my Moto G.
And i no longer get vertical lines while recoding
So i'm guessing its maybe an issue with the Motorola Camera and Snapchat,
seeing as the GPE Moto G uses the google/android Camera.
FIX!!!!
For anyone still having this problem, opt for beta testing in the settings. One of the fixes in the beta version is for the Moto G's video. Working perfect for me now! :good:

Ambient light!
Great work! The ROM is pretty stable and fast. Good battery life also.
The only issue is that the "wake up when picked up" feature is not working.
@Alberto96 Can our S4 get Screen Off Gestures(Double Tap to wake) ?
That's a awesome feature

If Temperature exceeds the limit, the Sound Chipset turns OFF automatically to safeguard it, like at first boot the Temp is very high that's why we loose sound. To turn it back ON we need to make a call.
Hit Tanks if helped

The initial thread in "Original Android Development" tells us that the audio bug is still there.
However, I wished that this issue would get a higher priority.

This procedure does only help a few people. For me as for others, the occurrence is totally random.
I never faced Sound disappearing issue randomly when temp exceeds, the sound automatically disappear.

I am glad that this works for you. But I guess (= no know) that many things depend of and influence the audio driver (which I understand from @Alberto96 causes the problem), so that every kind of different configuration can change the behavior. I am sure that more research has to be done before we can see a solution.
If @Alberto96 has a better explanation, it would be nice to read it here.
Edit: I read it and understood it wrong. So, my comment is nonsense. But it seems that the sound disappearance happens after different triggers (temperature, vibration, headset plugged in...)
I'm trying to make a call, but the call is muted. Sometimes I can hear, it seems that depends on the person, has phone number that I can hear, already has others who do not. Attached logcat.

Speaker is very tinny

Does Viper4Android fix this? If so, what profile is everyone using?
Thanks
That is the profile I am using for speaker at the moment.

Thanks, I haven't rooted yet but when I do I will give this a try. :good:
Has anyone else got any profiles they recommend or a guide for how to use Viper4Android?
Turning on speaker optimisation totally deals with the tinniness - but it makes it sound muffled...

I downloaded the .XML file above and placed it under /Viper4Android/Speaker_test/.
I had to create the speaker_test directory. But after that, I opened Viper4Android and loaded a custom profile and it was under the list as Speaker_test.

Thank you. I'm a bit of a stickler about sound quality. It took a while before it was sounding good to me. I do the same for my vehicle and different headphones/speakers I have.
